Chapter 104 You seem to care more about the Second Miss

Clearly, Changde only heard half of what happened at the lake tour banquet, otherwise he wouldn't have given such an account.

Changde paused, feeling that Shen Yuzhou was very different from before, and hesitated before speaking, "Young Master, you have changed a lot. Before, you always believed in the eldest young lady unconditionally and would not tolerate anyone bullying her. But now, you seem to care more about the second young lady."

"Is that so?" Shen Yuzhou gave a self-deprecating laugh, his large hand on the wheelchair handle clenched into a fist, but in the end he let it fall limply.

If he truly cared more about Song Zhiyu, things wouldn't have come to this.

"Yes, but if we're talking about who cares about the eldest young lady the most, it has to be the third young master. As soon as he heard that the eldest young lady was in trouble, he rushed to the manor without stopping."

Just now, this servant saw him heading aggressively towards Songxi Courtyard, presumably to avenge the eldest young lady. Changde nodded emphatically; he could see that his young master's attitude towards the second young lady had changed considerably.

Shen Yuzhou's eyes sharpened, and his voice rose several decibels, "What did you say?"

"This servant said that the Third Young Master went in the direction of Songxi Courtyard..." Before Changde could finish speaking, Shen Yuzhou pushed his wheelchair past him, his face showing an unusual anxiety.

He knew his third brother's temperament too well and was afraid that Shen Mingyi's outburst would completely ruin any chance of them reconciling with Song Zhiyu.

Changde came to his senses, but by then he had already walked several steps away.

Seeing this, he hurriedly followed, saying, "Young master, please slow down."

*

Songxiyuan.

Just as Song Zhiyu sat down, the tightly closed door was kicked open, and heavy footsteps approached instantly.

Before she could even see who it was, a crisp slap rang out. In an instant, the powerful force of the slap turned her face to the side, and bright red blood flowed down the corner of her mouth, making her look extremely horrifying.

The maids and servants following behind Shen Mingyi, who had failed to stop him, stared in shock, gasping involuntarily.

Shen Mingyi was panting heavily, his eyes filled with ruthlessness as he slapped Shen Mingyi hard, the force of which made Shen Mingyi's palm go numb.

"What has Shu'er done to wrong you, you..."

"Smack!"

Before Shen Mingyi could finish speaking, a merciless slap landed on his face, leaving several red, bloody marks on his fair cheek.

"Song Zhiyu, how dare you hit me!" Shen Mingyi recovered from the shock of being slapped and angrily cursed, only to be met with a merciless second slap.

"Miss." Lu Bai wiped away her tears with heartache and hurriedly stepped forward to gently wipe the blood from the corner of Song Zhiyu's mouth with a handkerchief.

Song Zhiyu's gloomy gaze met Shen Mingyi's fiery eyes directly, his flat voice devoid of any inflection, "Lu Bai, close the door, beat the dog."

"Yes." Lu Bai wiped away her tears, glared fiercely at Shen Mingyi, turned around without hesitation, ran a few steps to close the courtyard gate, and bolted it shut.

These words were particularly jarring, completely igniting the anger in Shen Mingyi's heart.

He suddenly stepped forward, and the question had barely left his mouth when he asked, "Song Zhiyu, who are you calling a dog?"

"I'm talking about you." As he approached, Song Zhiyu flicked her hand, and white powder flew towards Shen Mingyi's face.

"Ah! My eyes!" Shen Mingyi suddenly let out a shrill scream, clutching his eyes with a ferocious expression.

Seizing the opportunity, Song Zhiyu kicked him in the chest with all her might, sending him flying.

Shen Mingyi's back slammed heavily against the wall, and the clear sound of bones breaking reached everyone's ears.

They swallowed hard, huddled in a corner, trembling.

I knew the second young lady was ruthless, but I wish I had seen it with my own eyes.

They had thought the second young lady would be at a disadvantage against the third young master, but now it seems that someone else is the one who will suffer.

Shen Mingyi clutched his chest, feeling as if Song Zhiyu's kick had displaced his internal organs. "Song Zhiyu, I am your brother, how dare you treat me like this?"

"You dare to challenge me?" Song Zhiyu drew her dagger and approached him step by step, her eyes filled with chilling coldness.

With his back against the wall, Shen Mingyi stared at Song Zhiyu warily, still stubborn even as death approached, "What do you want to do? This is the Marquis's residence, how dare you hurt me?"

"Why wouldn't I dare? Since you don't want this hand anymore, then I'll grant your wish." Song Zhiyu smirked and brought the knife down.

A bloodcurdling scream pierced the sky as Shen Mingyi's hand was pierced by a sharp dagger, the tip firmly embedded in the ground. Gushing blood instantly soaked Song Zhiyu's skirt.

Upon hearing this shrill yet familiar scream, Shen Yuzhou, who rushed to Songxi Courtyard, was greatly shocked. He had an ominous premonition, as if something had slipped out of his control.

"Young Master, that's the Third Young Master's voice." Changde was startled and shrank back, staring at the tightly closed courtyard gate, unable to imagine what had happened inside.

"Knock on the door," Shen Yuzhou ordered in a deep voice, his tone as cold as ever, but Chang De suddenly noticed a slight tremor in it.

*

In the courtyard.

"I warned you long ago not to mess with me, but you kept challenging my bottom line. Shen Mingyi, I am no longer the Song Zhiyu you used to bully." Song Zhiyu pulled out a dagger and stabbed the bloody wound again.

Shen Mingyi's face was deathly pale, and he threatened weakly, "You caused Shu'er to be confined to his quarters, so slapping you was too lenient. You hurt me, and Father will not let you off the hook."

"I'll wait for him to come and settle the score with me." Song Zhiyu didn't take his threat seriously at all. If she were afraid, she wouldn't have made a move.

Having said that, she drew her dagger, intending to deliver another blow, but was stopped by the uninvited guest who burst through the door.

"What happened to your face?" Shen Yuzhou's deep pupils contracted sharply when he saw the obvious handprint on Song Zhiyu's face and the bloodstains that hadn't dried at the corner of her mouth.

Song Zhiyu slowly stood up, took the handkerchief handed to him by Lu Bai, and gently wiped the blood-stained dagger. He said with a hint of sarcasm, "Young Master Shen, why ask questions you already know the answer to? Since you're here, take the person away. Don't dirty my place."

"Brother, Song Zhiyu not only hurt me, but also harmed Shu'er. You must not let her off easily." Shen Mingyi felt more confident when he saw Shen Yuzhou arrive.

"Shut up!"

Shen Yuzhou didn't even glance at him, her gaze fixed on Song Zhiyu, her eyes filled with a complex emotion she couldn't understand, as well as a barely perceptible heartache hidden deep within them.

"I'll find you a doctor..." Shen Yuzhou's voice was hoarse and unclear, as if his throat was blocked by sand.

Clearly, he was referring to Song Zhiyu.

Song Zhiyu assumed he was mentally unstable and didn't bother with him, so she quietly ordered, "Lu Bai, throw him out."
