Chapter 108 Fortunately, we still made it in time
An Yan asked Li Rongsen, "Do you suggest breaking down a door?"
Before Li Rongsen could react, he saw An Yan kicking the door open.
This surprised Rong Qian very much. That was an anti-theft door, thick and heavy, but fortunately it was made of solid wood. But it was incredible that it was kicked open by a small person like her.
An Yan strode in and found Old Master Li lying on the ground. Beside him was an overturned medicine bottle and pills scattered all over the floor. There was also a servant kneeling beside him, dialing a phone in one hand.
He said: "Someone just called an ambulance. I'm afraid the old man is dying. He's not breathing."
Li Rongsen immediately squatted down to look at Old Man Li, and called him, "Grandpa, how are you? Wake up." While checking his breath, he found that he was indeed not breathing. He couldn't help but feel frightened.
An Yan first pressed two fingers on Mr. Li's aorta, then took out some medicine from her bag and put it into his mouth. She then took out a golden needle and stuck it into his head. At the same time, she said to Li Rongsen, "Go, get a towel."
Rong Qian was terrified and very sad. She kept blaming herself for being ignorant. For so many years, she had abandoned her loving family and stayed with such a scumbag. It was really not worth it.
"Dry or wet?" Li Rongsen asked.
"Wet, cold water." An Yan simply instructed him.
Li Rongsen immediately rushed to the kitchen, took out a wet towel and handed it to her, saying, "An Yan, my grandfather can still be saved."
The servant stood by and watched, thinking that the person was already dead, how could he be rescued? It was impossible, but he was also afraid that he could be rescued.
Rong Qian went to see him and asked him sternly, "Why didn't you come to open the door just now?"
"I wanted to give the old man medicine and also had to make a phone call, so I didn't have time." The man said without any nervousness.
"Who is getting the medicine? It was you, right? How long did it take?" Li Rongsen asked him. He felt that this matter was very strange and full of doubts.
"I was working in the kitchen when I heard a noise outside and ran out to see. I found the old man lying on the ground. I went to get medicine, but when I came back, I found that he was dead." The servant explained calmly.
"How could he die in such a short time? Unless you missed the time to get the medicine." Rong Qian didn't believe him.
"I absolutely didn't do that. Absolutely, absolutely not." The man waved his hands quickly and added, "I've been working here all my life, and Mr. Li has been very kind to me. Why would I do something like this?"
Li Rongsen didn't say anything, but he was always suspicious of him and wanted to check on his grandfather's condition first.
An Yan said to Li Rongsen, "Help the master lie down on the bed."
"Is he breathing? Can he be cured?" Rong Qian asked anxiously.
"He was just in shock, but he's normal now. Lift him onto the bed first, and then I'll give him the acupuncture." An Yan signaled Li Rongsen to come over and help.
Li Rongsen did as he was told, and together with the servants, he carried Old Man Li to the second floor and laid him down on the comfortable big bed.
An Yan began to give him acupuncture, saying, "I don't think he'll wake up soon. Go prepare some warm water first. I'm helpful."
Rong Qian said, "I'll go."
"I wonder what the old man's condition is like and when he will wake up?" The servant now looked very anxious, as if something had happened to his own grandfather.
"Not so fast. Maybe he won't wake up. It's very difficult." There was no expression on An Yan's face.
When the servant heard her say this, he turned and left.
An Yan was giving Mr. Li an acupuncture injection while leaning close to his ear, as if she was saying something to him.
Li Rongsen stood at the door of the room and said to An Yan, "You must find a way to cure my grandfather."
"Your grandfather didn't take the medicine as I asked. If he continues to be so willful, I really won't save him in the future." An Yan said as if Grandpa Li was awake.
"How do you know my grandpa didn't take the medicine?" Li Rongsen was a little surprised.
"How could I not know? I know exactly how many doses he took and how many he didn't." An Yan said as she looked at Mr. Li's face and added, "You still want to lie to me? You secretly poured out the medicine. He drank less than two doses in total."
Li Rongsen didn't say anything.
And An Yan continued: "From now on, if you don't listen to me, I won't come here anymore."
At this time, Rong Qian came in from outside with a small basin of water and said to An Yan, "The water is here, where should we put it?"
"Put it on the bedside table." An Yan gestured for her to put it there. She began to give Mr. Li's leg acupuncture again and said, "This time, I'm going to increase the dosage of the medicine. Take two doses a day, and don't miss a single one."
Rong Qian thought An Yan was quite interesting. She spoke as if Old Master Li was awake.
Li Rongsen saw that Mr. Li's eyelids moved, and the corners of his mouth drooped slightly, and then raised again. He couldn't help but feel confused.
Could it be that Mr. Li could hear everything that An Yan said?
An Yan took a look at Mr. Li's leg and felt that he was fine. She said to Li Rongsen, "Okay, it's nothing serious. Let him rest. I don't think he will wake up that soon."
"I think that servant is suspicious."
"It's useless to be suspicious. There are no cameras installed at home. We need evidence." An Yan whispered to him.
"I'll stay and accompany grandpa." Li Rongsen came up with this idea.
An Yan felt that this was not a good idea and said, "It would be bad if you stayed. It would only make him afraid to make any moves. It would be better if we all left and left him alone so that it would be easier for him to do his work."
"What if he wants to do something bad to grandpa?" Li Rongsen asked.
"Don't worry." An Yan gestured to him not to worry, put another bottle of something on the bedside table, and said, "The house next door should still be yours. Is that empty house yours?"
"Yes, it was where my parents lived before. They moved out after they passed away." Li Rongsen nodded.
"That's fine, let's go wait next door." An Yan said as she put on her bag.
At this time, a servant came in and said, "Are you getting ready to leave?"
"Take good care of the old man. If he wakes up, call us immediately. We have something to deal with now." Li Rongsen instructed him earnestly.
The man nodded and said, "Okay, I understand. I will take it seriously and be responsible. I will notify you as soon as there is any situation."
"I have asked a private doctor to come over. Please take good care of him." Li Rongsen instructed him again, and then signaled Rong Qian and An Yan to leave.
The three men simply drove the car around for a while, and then quietly went to the next house to keep watch.
An Yan said, "No one lives here, so why is the refrigerator full of fresh fruits, vegetables and meat?" She felt a little curious.
Rong Qian said to An Yan, "That's because Grandpa believes Dad hasn't left and is still living in this house, so he has people prepare everything that needs to be prepared every day. He has been doing this for many years and has never changed."
"I'll cook dinner for you. You can go over there and have some rest." Li Rongsen said as he was about to go to the kitchen.
"Can you do it?" An Yan and Rong Qian asked him in unison, and then smiled at each other.
