Chapter 118: Telling Stories While Treating Injuries

Chapter 118: Telling Stories While Treating Injuries

Li Rongsen completely ignored what Zhou Qingxue would think. He just hoped that An Yan would be okay. Although her wound was not bleeding much, it was festering at an astonishing speed.

"What's going on?" Li Rongsen asked her.

"Don't be afraid, I have medicine in my bag. Give me the bag." An Yan reminded him that although she had a physique that was immune to all poisons, her body had not yet fully adjusted to the point where it would remain unchanged when encountering poison. Therefore, the wound was oozing pus due to the toxicity. Fortunately, the problem was not particularly serious and she could control it.

Li Rongsen handed her the bag and asked, "Do you want me to help you open it?"

"Okay, help me unzip it. It's not convenient for me to use one hand."

It was the first time that Li Rongsen helped a girl open her bag, and he always thought that An Yan's bag was different from other women's bags. Every time he saw her taking medicine, needles, alcohol, tools and other things out of it, there was almost no rouge or powder.

Sure enough, when I looked into her bag, there was really no rouge or powder or anything like that, not even a lipstick.

An Yan took out a medicine bottle from inside, and then said to Li Rongsen, "Please help me open the lid."

Li Rongsen did as he was told and said, "Let me apply medicine for you." Then he sprinkled it on her wound.

But because he was too nervous, his hands were shaking.

An Yan smiled and said, "Why, you look like you're afraid of the wound. Your hands are shaking like this, could it be that you've contracted some kind of tremor disease?"

Li Rongsen knew that An Yan was joking with him, trying to make him less nervous. He said, "I'm afraid you'll get hurt."

An Yan lowered her eyebrows, thinking that this grown man was quite sentimental. She said, "This little bit of pain is nothing. There are many times when it is much worse than this pain."

"You seem to have a lot of stories." Li Rongsen said. His hands were no longer shaking, and he helped An Yan tear off the medicine powder on the wound.

An Yan didn't know why, but she was actually very relieved about him. However, she didn't tell him the whole truth. She only said, "I often dream. I dream about many things from my past lives, and I still remember them clearly."

"Can you tell me what's going on?" Li Rongsen was curious. He wanted to know more about her. She usually seemed distant from everyone. Although she was quite close to him, they were not to the point where they could talk about anything. Today was an opportunity.

"Take out the red bottle from your bag and continue to sprinkle it on the wound." An Yan reminded him of this first.

Li Rongsen didn't dare to neglect it at all. He took out the red bottle and removed the lid while asking, "What are the ingredients of this medicine and what is it used for?"

"It's used to repair the skin." An Yan told him.

"Is this good enough? Or do we need to do something else?" Li Rongsen asked her.

"Wait a moment, then apply the medicine." An Yan said as she sat down on the sofa. "This will make you feel a little more comfortable."

Li Rongsen brought the water cup for her and was about to clean up the things on the table, but was stopped by An Yan. She said, "Don't touch those things. They are poisonous. You can't touch them."

"Then just leave it here?" Li Rongsen asked.

"Wait until my wound gets better and then you can clean it up. I'll do it." An Yan said as she leaned back on the sofa.

Li Rongsen first went upstairs to get a blanket and put it on the sofa where she was sitting, saying, "Cover yourself with it."

"Thank you." An Yan smiled at him and went to check the wound.

Li Rongsen sat down on the single sofa and brought up the previous topic again, asking her, "You said earlier that you often dream about things from your past lives. What were they?"

"In one of my lives, I was an assassin. I was forced to become one. In order to leave the organization, I had to complete the task of assassinating the emperor. As a result, I was caught and stabbed a hundred times."

"Nothing happened?" Li Rongsen, a grown man, couldn't stand it.

"You mean death?" An Yan chuckled, her expression calm, and then said, "Of course I won't die. That dog emperor won't let me die, but keeps me alive to suffer and keep me alive."

"And then?"

"I was saved by someone."

"Is it your husband from that life?"

An Yan remained expressionless, but a glimmer of light flickered in her eyes as she said, "He went through so much trouble to rescue me from the dungeon, and then he completed the mission for me, but he was killed by that dog emperor."

"What happened in the end?" Li Rongsen was very curious.

"Of course I had to avenge him, and also avenge myself. I got rid of the dog emperor with my own hands, and then I supported a new king. Then I lived in seclusion and lived to be eighty years old. That's it." An Yan said to him.

"All of them are the same person?"

"I'm alone, guarding a peach garden. I watch the peach blossoms in spring, eat peaches in summer, water and fertilize the fruits in autumn and winter, and wait for the next year to watch the peach blossoms and eat peaches again." An Yan answered him frankly.

Li Rongsen suddenly felt a huge sense of loneliness, but An Yan did not show any sadness, which made him have a different feeling.

He also wanted to plant a peach orchard in the mountains.

An Yan saw that he seemed to be deep in thought and asked him, "What's wrong with you?"

"I was thinking that you must have experienced a lot of things. It would be very interesting if you wrote them all down." Li Rongsen was also a person who was reborn. He thought that An Yan might be even more experienced than him, and believed that she had encountered many new and interesting things.

An Yan's bright eyes turned slightly, and she said, "It seems quite interesting."

"Write it down and publish it as a book, then make it into a TV series. It's bound to be a big hit." Li Rongsen thought this was a brilliant idea and added, "I'm planning to start a film and television company. You can leave it to me to manage."

"You've wanted to do so many businesses recently. You're not satisfied with the pharmaceutical sector anymore. You want to get involved in catering, and also in film and television. Do you want all aspects to flourish?" An Yan chuckled, thinking that this was indeed his ambition. He would be the richest man in the future.

Li Rongsen said: "There are many things I want to do. I want to be the strongest in the world."

"You will." An Yan had no doubt, because he had done it before.

Li Rongsen also believed that he could do it, and he must do better than before. He looked at An Yan's arm and said, "Your medicine is really effective. The wound has obviously improved and the pus has dissolved."

"Just help me spread some more medicine, and that will be enough." An Yan gestured for Li Rongsen to help, and then said, "Then go to my master to pick some herbs."

"It won't leave scars, right?" Li Rongsen asked her.

"Of course not. Any scar will disappear in my hands." An Yan chuckled.

Li Rongsen looked at his watch and said, "Go upstairs and sleep. I'll stay with you downstairs for an hour. If there's nothing else, I'll go back to my mother's."

"I'll be fine. Go back early. I'll call you if anything happens."

Li Rongsen nodded and strode away, but he did not actually go back to Mrs. Li. He was still a little worried, so he simply slept in the car to prevent any new developments in An Yan.

When he got back to his car, he saw many calls from Sheng Mingjie. He picked up one and asked, "What's up?"

"Have you and An Yan developed to the point where you spend the night together?" Sheng Mingjie asked.

"Don't listen to Zhou Qingxue's nonsense. It's not true." Li Rongsen was a little impatient, thinking that Zhou Qingxue was not much better than Wang Lina.
