Chapter 13: Making Trouble

Chapter 13: Making Trouble

Mu Mingya and Wang Lina were both puzzled. Why was the woman named An Yan in front of them motionless? Logically, she should have fainted.

An Yan held her breath and did not breathe, so she was unable to inhale the drugs. She grabbed Mu Mingya and Wang Lina's arms in one hand each, and then threw them back with force.

Only two "thumps" were heard.

The two women fell into the pool, splashing water everywhere.

Wang Lina struggled to get up and yelled at An Yan on the shore: "Are you crazy? Who the hell are you? This is my home, you don't know what's good for you!"

"You are such an ungrateful person! You shouldn't bully your own family!" Mu Mingya was sad when she saw that her newly ordered skirt was covered with black mud.

"Wang Lina, have some shame. After all, you haven't married Li Rongsen yet. How dare you say this is your home?" An Yan almost laughed out loud. If this was really her home, she would definitely not come.

At this time, Li Rongsen and Li's mother hurried over with a group of people.

Wang Lina seemed to have found a supporter. She climbed up the bank crying and said to Li Rongsen, "Rongsen, she bullied me." She then complained to Li's mother, "Auntie, this woman is crazy. She actually pushed me into the pool."

Mu Mingya also followed suit, slandering him, saying, "Auntie, I'm really sorry. It's all my fault. She's my sister. I didn't bring her here to the dinner, so she secretly followed me here. I asked her to go home, but she refused, and she pushed us all into the pool."

"Look how ridiculous this extremely jealous woman is." Wang Lina glared at An Yan.

An Yan didn't care and she was too lazy to explain.

I heard Li's mother scolding me harshly: "Why don't you apologize quickly!"

Wang Lina felt more confident after hearing this. She pointed at An Yan's nose and said, "Did you hear that? I told you to apologize!"

"I'm asking you to apologize, and Mu Mingya, you also have to apologize to Miss An Yan." Li's mother raised her voice and said again.

Wang Lina looked at Li's mother in disbelief and asked, "Why should we apologize to her? She was the one who pushed us into the pool."

"Who saw it?" Li Rongsen came out and asked.

Wang Lina immediately asked An Yan, "You wouldn't dare to admit it, would you? It was you who pushed Mu Mingya and me into the pool, right?"

An Yan replied calmly, "I pushed him." She bent down to pick up the spray bottle on the ground and said, "Just because you sprayed me with this, I can't defend myself properly?"

Li Rongsen naturally knew what that thing was, and he also recognized that it was the self-defense spray that Wang Lina carried with her.

Li's mother glanced at her face, causing Wang Lina to shudder uncontrollably. She quickly said, "I didn't know who she was. She followed me and I thought she was a bad person, so I sprayed her."

"Hurry up and tidy it up." Mother Li was still in a bad mood. She glanced at Mu Mingya and said, "An Yan is my guest. If you disrespect her, you are disrespecting me. Do you understand?"

Wang Lina looked towards Li Rongsen with a pitiful look as if she wanted him to help her, but he remained indifferent. She couldn't help but feel secretly angry, but she didn't dare to do anything. She went back to change her clothes in shame.

Li's mother held An Yan's hand and said, "Yan Yan, please allow me to call you that."

An Yan was a little uncomfortable with it, but she also felt that it was just a name, and saying no would make her seem stingy, so she didn't refuse and said, "It's all right."

Li's mother then asked, "Will you allow me to introduce you to everyone?"

"That's not necessary. We agreed to come here for tea." An Yan didn't want to be too high-profile. She knew that the Li family still had some influence in this place, although at present, it was far from reaching its peak.

Li's mother naturally respected her wishes, but fearing to scare her away, she took her hand and led her to the master's living quarters. She seated her on the sofa and signaled for the servants to serve tea, saying, "I really want to introduce you to everyone attending tonight's banquet. It's all because of you taking care of my life that I'm able to live and host this banquet."

"You're welcome, ma'am." An Yan took the tea brought by the servant. This was excellent tea, the king of teas, which most people could not drink.

"From now on, you are as close to my family as Li Rongsen." Li's mother said this sincerely. She really liked An Yan and there was absolutely no empty talk.

Although she did not say that she wanted to adopt An Yan as her goddaughter, her words made the point clear.

An Yan felt that she was too enthusiastic, which actually surprised her.

Then she heard Li's mother ask her, "What are you doing now? Where do you live? Do you want to move here? There are many rooms, you can choose any one."

"I have a father and a younger brother at home. Thank you for your kindness, ma'am." An Yan politely declined and added, "I don't have anything to do at the moment. I'm going to find a job."

She had just casually mentioned the job search, but Li's mother had taken it to heart and quickly said, "It just so happens that there's a position open in Rongsen's office. I don't need to do anything, just clock in and out. Would you mind?"

Li Rongsen felt that his mother was too partial. This was a position she made up herself. What kind of job was this? It was clearly free money.

An Yan naturally refused and said, "I guess it's not suitable. After all, I have no experience in this area."

"Then tell me what you want to do and I will arrange it for you." Li's mother wanted to repay her. Moreover, after taking a closer look at her today, she liked her even more.

If it were someone else, they might have made some requests, but she didn't say a word.

An Yan didn't care about these things at all. Her cell phone alarm rang, and she quickly put down the teacup and said, "I should go back. Dad and my brother are still waiting for me at home. They will be worried if I go too late."

"Okay, I'll let Rongsen take you back." Li's mother didn't force her to stay, thinking that there were still many days to come.

An Yan did not refuse and walked out.

Li Rongsen followed her, opened the car door for her, and said, "Think about my mother's advice. If you think of where you want to work, tell me."

"No need." An Yan doesn't like to rely on others, especially men who have nothing to do with her.

Li Rongsen got into the driver's seat and said as he fastened his seat belt, "My mother seems to want to adopt you as her goddaughter."

"No chance." An Yan answered directly.

"That's great. I don't like having another sister." Li Rongsen continued.

When he was about to start the car, he noticed someone tapping on the window. He rolled down the car and saw it was his cousin. He asked, "What's the emergency?"

"Lina is sick. She's cold all over and her forehead is burning. Let me help you take her home. You go and take care of her." Li Rongan had already opened the car door and forcibly pulled Li Rongsen out. He got in and said, "Don't worry, I promise to take her home safely."

"You go and take care of it." An Yan also said this to him.

Li Rongsen frowned and saw that Li Rongan had already started the car and drove away.

Somehow, he felt that it was wrong for his cousin, who was usually nosy, to rush to send a woman home like this.
