Chapter 17 Hypocritical

Chapter 17 Hypocritical

An Yan knew that he was beginning to fall ill, so she took out the gold needles to treat him.

Lin Fu stood by and watched in amazement. It's not like he had never seen Chinese medicine and acupuncture before, but her method was completely different. She was fast and accurate, and so skilled as if she practiced it thousands of times every day. And soon she saw Li Xuan wake up.

He said, "I'm so sorry to have caused you trouble."

"You've helped me today, so it's only right that I treat you." An Yan said, then turned to Lin Fu, "Thank you too."

"It's my duty. It's all my duty." Lin Fu said flatteringly. He admired this girl from the bottom of his heart. It was not easy for her to remain calm in times of crisis at such a young age and to support a family alone. Judging from her attitude towards An Cheng, she was not an ungrateful person at all.

An Yan was about to put the needle away, but she took out another one and said to Lin Fu, "Do you want me to give you one too?"

Lin Fu instantly felt that his life had hope, and he nodded quickly and stretched out his arms.

An Yan injected the needle steadily and said, "You can't rush this illness. Splitting the needles will help you adapt better. Eat less greasy food, go to bed early at night, and quit smoking."

"Okay, okay, whatever you say is what it is." Lin Fu was very happy and said, "I will take him back now, and you should go to bed early." After that, he left with Li Xuan.

An Yan could finally relax. She was exhausted after a whole day of hard work. She first took a shower and then went back to her room to look up some information.

An Yichen walked in, sat in front of her, and said, "Sister, we seem to be dragging you down."

"What nonsense are you talking about? We are a family, there is no need to worry about whether we are a burden or not." An Yan signaled An Yichen not to let his imagination run wild, and gently tapped the bandage on his forehead and asked, "Does it still hurt?"

An Yichen smiled and said, "It doesn't hurt anymore."

"That's good." An Yan nodded and said, "Just study hard and do your job well. Don't worry about anything else. When we make some money later, we can move to a bigger house, okay?"

"I will work hard too." An Yichen promised solemnly.

"Okay, let's work hard together." An Yan nodded and asked him, "What do you want to eat today? I'll make dinner later."

"I'll cook dinner and let you taste my cooking skills." An Yichen said as he stood up.

"When did you learn it secretly? How come I didn't know about it?" An Yan said with a smile. After watching him leave the room, she turned back to the computer. She had collected a lot of valuable information recently.

But she lacked a stepping stone.

At this time, her cell phone rang. She picked it up and saw it was Mrs. Li. She picked it up and asked, "Hello, what do you want to talk to me about?"

"Have you decided where you want to work? Don't be polite, just tell Rong Sen directly and he will arrange it." Mrs. Li's tone was very gentle and kind.

An Yan also replied politely: "Okay, I'll tell him when I think it through."

"That's great. I'll tell him to wait." Mrs. Li was very happy to hear her say that. She then asked, "Where are you eating tonight? Do you want to come to my house? I've made some new dishes that should taste great."

"Thank you for your kindness. I want to stay home with my father and brother."

Mrs. Li didn't force her to do so and said, "Okay, come to my house for tea when you have time and we can chat."

An Yan said OK and hung up the phone. She could actually feel Mrs. Li's sincerity towards her, but she was Li Rongsen's mother after all, so she felt it was strange that she was too kind to her.

The phone rang again. It was an unfamiliar number. She picked it up and asked, "Who is it?"

"Hello, is your name An Yan?" The other party's voice sounded very cold.

"It's me. Who are you? What's the matter?" An Yan was very sure that she had never heard this voice before. It should be someone she didn't know.

The other party asked again: "Do you know Li Yu?"

"I don't know him." An Yan replied.

"You still dare to say you don't know him? The Tianmen needle you are using in your hand was taught to you by him. Now you still have the nerve to say you don't know him." The other party was already snorting in disdain.

"Why would I lie to you?" An Yan said and hung up the phone.

Later, she received a news text message saying that An Yan, the exclusive successor of Li Yu, had mastered the skill of Tianmen Thirty-Six Needles. This was ridiculous. She had never worshipped him as her master, so why would he say that?

She didn't care at first, let alone explain anything, but trouble always came.

Whenever An Yan goes downstairs, she will meet two people. They are Li Yu's apprentices. One is called Ding Yi and the other is called Ding Er. They are a pair of brothers. They keep pestering her and asking her why the master taught her but not them.

She was already fed up with it and finally walked into Li Yu's office.

Li Yu is the president of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His office environment is in a Chinese style, with pavilions, towers, and flowing bridges in the garden. His office is on the second floor and is spacious and elegant.

No one dared to stop An Yan when she came in, because everyone knew that she was Li Yu's last disciple. She pushed the door open and walked in, and saw him studying the golden needle.

Li Yu was not surprised to see her. Instead, he greeted her with a smile and said, "We finally meet."

"Why do you have to use such means to make me come to see you?" An Yan sat down generously.

Li Yu poured her a cup of tea, placed it in front of her, and then sat down himself. He said, "I have some reputation in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. People who want to be my apprentice are lining up all the way to the next city. How can I let you down?"

"I didn't learn from you, so I naturally won't be your apprentice. Besides, are you worthy of being my master?" An Yan asked him back. She was not being subjective, but her intuition told her that he was a hypocritical hypocrite.

"You're just a little girl. If you don't have anyone to protect you, even if you know the Thirty-Six Needles of Tianmen, people will think you're a liar. Even if you heal a few people, it won't help. Who will respect you?" Li Yu said logically, and then said, "If I protect you, everything will be easy. Money, fame, and popularity will come to you uninvited. Isn't that great?"

"You are afraid of losing face. You only know the Eighteen Needles of Tianmen, while I know the Thirty-Six Needles of Tianmen. I am afraid you will have to give up your position. So, to the outside world, I am your apprentice. You pass on the secret to me so that you can continue to hold your position firmly and be more respected, right?" An Yan had thought of this a long time ago.

"I hope you can agree. It will be good for everyone." Li Yu said with a forced smile.

"What if I don't agree?"

"Then I will cut off both of your hands and see if you can still use the Thirty-Six Needles of Tianmen." He chuckled twice.

"I'm afraid you simply don't have the ability." An Yan sneered.

"You just drank my tea and got poisoned by my medicine. You can't leave this room without my antidote." He said with some pride, and then said, "Do you feel a little dizzy? That's the effect of the medicine."
