Chapter 19 Want to accept a disciple

Chapter 19 Want to accept a disciple

An Yan felt very surprised, but also full of curiosity about this man. He was obviously a stranger and she had never met him before, but she followed him into the yard unconsciously.

The door was closed, as if isolated from the world.

The man brought over a bowl and said, "I know you can control this poison, but I'll still help you."

As expected, it was him who poisoned it. An Yan was not wrong. She took the bowl and smelled it. It was a few benign herbs, so she drank it in one gulp and said, "I never thought that there was still an ancient person living in this era."

He laughed heartily and said, "I am not an ancient person. I just admire ancient medicine, so I wanted to be one. It's just that I was born in the wrong era and ended up here."

"You mean you have all the skills but can't defeat those cunning villains, right?" An Yan asked him, and at his request, sat on a chair he handed over.

The man also sat down and said, "They're after money, fame, and profit. I just want to heal people, but in the end, I've got nothing and my family and I've been torn apart."

An Yan didn't respond. She just thought quietly and asked him, "From what you said just now, it seems like you were waiting for me?"

"You could say I'm waiting for you, or you could say I'm waiting for someone to inherit my legacy." He fiddled with the herbs in his hands, brought them close to his nose to sniff, and then asked her, "Are there any herbs here that you don't recognize?"

"I don't see this herb often. It can only be found deep in the mountains. Ordinary people can't go to such places." An Yan said as she picked up a herb and handed it over.

"I can grow all kinds of medicinal herbs." He said as he pulled off a piece of cloth, which surprised An Yan.

She has experienced many lifetimes and is no stranger to herbs. All the herbs grown here are very rare and precious. They were herbs that could only grow long ago and are now extinct. Even Wancaotang cannot get them.

He smiled and said, "My time is running out. I need to find a qualified apprentice. I have been waiting for so many years, and now he has finally come."

"Are you talking about me?" An Yan asked him.

"You're not happy?" he asked.

"Then you should know the herb Snow Lotus Purple." An Yan was already eager to know the whereabouts of this herb.

"I know." He nodded.

An Yan seemed to have hope ignited. She immediately stood up from her chair and approached him, asking, "Where is it? Can you tell me?"

"You are talented, have good roots, have a natural sensitivity to medicinal herbs, and know the Thirty-Six Needles of Tianmen. It would be a pity if you don't become my apprentice." He looked at her, as if waiting for her.

An Yan had never thought of finding a master, and since this was her first meeting with him, she said, "Old Master, could you please tell me the whereabouts of Xue Lian Zi first?"

"It's not difficult for you to obtain Snow Lotus Purple. If you become my disciple, you can get it, and much more than it. There are also some things that no one else knows except me." He said it in an unfathomable way, and when An Yan didn't answer immediately, he said, "You can go back and think about it. I am absolutely qualified to be your master."

"You are Hua Ye, what is your relationship with Li Yu and the three major families in the medical field?" An Yan asked about this matter again.

He did not directly answer the question, but simply said: "Go back and think about whether you are willing to be my apprentice."

"I also have a way to get Snow Lotus Purple myself."

He smiled and said, "If you have another way, I don't need to talk to you about this."

"A friend just told me that Snow Lotus Purple is being auctioned at an auction house. So I have to doubt whether the medicine in your hand is real." An Yan expressed her doubts directly.

"The Snow Lotus Purple sold at the auction house is real, and I am the one selling it." He looked at her calmly.

An Yan was shocked and had no idea what he meant, but she said, "I can raise the money and auction it off."

"Except for the people from the three major families, no one else can get him, no matter who it is, or even if their assets are combined, it is impossible." His tone was thick and steady, as if he had a plan in hand.

An Yan became even more confused when she heard this and asked, "Then why did you say you would give it to me?"

"As long as you agree to be my apprentice, he will of course be yours."

"Will you go get it from the auction house and give it to me now?" An Yan asked him again.

"It's just a purple snow lotus. Why are you so nervous? As my disciple, you can get not only a purple snow lotus but even white fairy water at your fingertips." He laughed again, thinking she was petty.

An Yan was finally shocked. Baixianshui was a legend. It was a medicine that could bring the dead back to life and even rejuvenate. It was said to be a prescription left by immortals. He was simply a madman.

But if what he said was true, then he could really be her master, but she still had to think about it.

"What's wrong with being my apprentice? Why are you still hesitating?" He stared at her again.

"Do you still want your disciple to avenge you?" An Yan sat back in her chair. She was much calmer than before.

He laughed heartily and said, "I really like you, little girl. You're so smart!"

"I won't do anything illegal. I'm a good girl."

"No need, it's very simple for you." He threw away the herbs in his hand.

At this moment, An Yan's cell phone rang. It was An Cheng calling. She picked it up immediately and asked, "Dad, is something wrong?"

"Nothing, I just called to ask you to come home for dinner. It's already six o'clock."

An Yan quickly agreed and said, "Okay, I'll be back soon. You and Yi Chen can eat first."

"How can this be? The two of us will wait for you to come back together. Yi Chen will cook today, and all of them will be your favorite dishes." An Cheng hung up the phone after saying that.

The old man said to An Yan, "Go back and have dinner first. If you decide to be my apprentice, come find me. With your qualifications, you can learn everything I have learned in one night."

"Are you Hua Ye?" An Yan asked him again before leaving. She thought he was a man with a story.

"My last name is Hua. Some people used to call me Grandpa Hua, but that was a long time ago. Now I'm just an old man living alone." He chuckled lightly, his tone full of desolation.

An Yan thought of something and asked again: "Li Yu is one of your enemies, right?"

"He's a hypocrite and a thief!" He breathed out of his nose in anger and stretched out his hands to show An Yan, "See the wounds here? The broken tendons were all caused by him."

An Yan raised her eyebrows slightly, thinking that she was almost harmed by that man just now, but she still decided to go back to her home for dinner first.

She had just gotten out of the taxi and walked into the community.

Suddenly, five people rushed out and blocked her way. She looked closely and saw that it was those haunting men again. She really didn't know what they were doing. She said, "What are you doing?"
