Chapter 422 Confrontation
The peach grove was still full of colorful peach blossoms, and petals rained down in the wind. Some even drifted onto the corridor, decorating the ground with pink dots.
I heard Gu Zinan say again: "You should be a few years older than me."
"Yeah. It should be." An Yan nodded.
"Then I'll call you Sister from now on, okay?"

An Yan thought his questions were nonsensical, but they reminded her of something. Ling Hai once said that she would have to forget Li Rongsen. Thinking of this made her feel scared, and now that Gu Zinan mentioned it, she was even more uneasy.
Seeing her lost in thought, Gu Zinan asked, "Sister, what's wrong with you? Are you thinking about something?"
"No." An Yan has regained her composure. She will think of a way to make herself remember.
"I really miss my sister." Gu Zinan sighed lightly.
An Yan didn't respond, and when she found the medicine was ready, she quickly put out the fire, poured out the medicine, and said to Gu Zinan: "Drink this medicine first, and then drink the medicine for your legs."

An Yan threw the big scarf on the chair first, then reached into her bag and took out two candies. These were snacks that the old man had thrown in a long time ago, and she had never remembered to eat them, but they came in useful today.

After a while, Li Rongsen came over and said to An Yan, "I'll take Yan Qingqiu to the hospital for a checkup and I'll take him back later."
"Why, did he ask you for a luxurious dinner again?" How could An Yan not know what Yan Qingqiu was thinking.
Li Rongsen was used to it and said, "I can afford it. Besides, it's okay. He asked what you want to eat and it's up to you."
"Since he wants to take it, it's natural for him to decide. I don't want to have a headache about eating." An Yan had already packed a dose of medicine.
"Okay, I'll tell her later." Li Rongsen nodded, and then asked An Yan, "When can we leave?"
"Hey, this is my territory. Do you treat me like air?" Gu Zinan was really unhappy. He thought Li Rongsen was arrogant. Seeing the way he talked to An Yan was really infuriating.
"You can also treat me as air." Li Rongsen rejected him rudely.
"The air smells terrible. Please go out." Gu Zinan said bluntly.
"My wife is here, I'm not going anywhere." Li Rongsen said as he sat down at the table.
Gu Zinan frowned, while An Yan was surprised. She thought she had heard it wrong, so she pricked up her ears to listen again.
But the room was silent.
The more Gu Zinan thought about it, the angrier he became. He thought that he couldn't let those two men go out to eat with Anyan in peace. He had to stop them no matter what, so he slowly pushed the wheelchair towards the corridor.
Li Rongsen immediately stood in front of him and pushed him back into the house in a very domineering manner, saying, "Don't go outside. If you get bumped or bruised, it will be bad."
Gu Zinan was surprised and wondered if this damn man had the ability to read minds.
Li Rongsen stared at him and chuckled, the kind of smile that said, "You can't fool me." He then said, "I want to tell you that An Yan is not only my wife, but also my secretary. She's very busy with work every day. But since she's already promised Bai Shichen to treat your illness, I don't object. However, she can only come for two hours a day."
"Why do you make the decision for An Yan? She has the right to make her own choice." Gu Zinan snorted coldly.
Li Rongsen looked over at An Yan and said to her, "It was you who said you wanted to be my secretary."
"I resigned unilaterally. I think the job content you mentioned is not suitable for me." An Yan didn't want to hand over the work to Yan Qingqiu.
"You've never been one to go back on your word."
"Oh, it's Yan Qingqiu who thinks I'm not suitable to take over from him." An Yan said calmly, with the second set of medicine already wrapped in her hand.
"You take over Auntie's job. She wants to take her grandson to study abroad." Li Rongsen said, but he was not sure whether An Yan would agree. But since she had said it before, he softened his tone and said, "Can't you come and help?"
An Yan couldn't refuse, so she said, "I understand."
"Sister!" Gu Zinan immediately became unhappy.
"What sister? Who is your sister?" Li Rongsen was unhappy when he heard him calling An Yan like that.
"An Yan is my elder sister now, and I am his younger brother. If you have any objections, it's none of your business." Gu Zinan asked two questions in a row.
Li Rongsen chuckled and said, "Then I am your brother-in-law."
"I don't admit it. An Yan hasn't married you yet."
"Our wedding is about to take place."
"What the hell are you talking about? She doesn't love you."
"How dare you talk like that?" Li Rongsen was about to get angry when he heard this, but when he saw An Yan glance at him, he had no choice but to ignore Gu Zinan and said, "She's my wife after all. Since you call her sister, you should call me brother-in-law. How can you deny her?"
An Yan was actually quite happy. She liked hearing Li Rongsen say that she was his wife, and she fully acknowledged this identity.
Gu Zinan had also caught the smile on An Yan's lips, and wondered why he could not defeat Li Rongsen. Otherwise, he would start to pretend to be unwell, so that An Yan could stay and not go to dinner with them.
Just as he was about to hold his chest and cry out in pain, he saw Li Rongsen approaching him and said calmly, "Pretending to be sick is not a skill."
Gu Zinan was shocked. He looked up at Li Rongsen and asked him, "Who the hell are you?"
Li Rongsen straightened up, looked at his watch, and said, "Dinner time is almost here. I want An Yan to leave. You stay here and wait for Bai Shichen to come back and cook for you."
"Then take me with you. Who knows when Bai Shichen will come back." Gu Zinan simply planned to go with them.
"You can't get some fresh air right now. If you do, you'll get some red spots again." An Yan signaled Gu Zinan not to be so willful. Seeing Bai Shichen coming back, he said, "Why don't you stay for dinner today? I picked a lot of vegetables."
"That's what I said, but they refused to stay." Gu Zinan interrupted.
Li Rongsen said to Bai Shichen, "Yan Qingqiu is in the hospital. I have to take An Yan there."
"Okay, go ahead. I'll take care of him here." Bai Shichen immediately gave up on keeping them and said, "Give him a message. Say hello."
Li Rongsen nodded and glanced at Gu Zinan, then walked closer to him, bent down and whispered in his ear: "Self-harm is useless, we are not idiots."
The corners of Gu Zinan's mouth twitched, but he could do nothing about it.
Li Rongsen pulled An Yan into his arms and carried her out of the house.
