Chapter 496 Fully Recovered
When the light faded, An Yan found that she had her hair done up in a bun, with luxurious jewelry on her head and her long tasseled hairpin trembling slightly. Her husband came hurriedly outside.
He said, "My dear, your brother has killed someone."
"Who did you kill?"
"You'll know when you go and see." The man took An Yan's hand and rushed towards her house.
Her house was a river of blood, with corpses everywhere. No one was left alive. Only her brother stood in the center with a sword in his hand, his beautiful eyes purple.
"He has been possessed by a demon and has murdered his own people. Both your parents died at his hands."
"This is impossible, how is it possible?" An Yan didn't believe it, but what she saw before her was the most cruel scene.
"Sister, I didn't kill anyone." The man with purple eyes explained.
An Yan felt that her consciousness was dispersing, and she seemed to hear someone calling her name: "An Yan, An Yan, wake up, An Yan"
An Yan finally opened her eyes, and the person she saw was Li Rongsen, and she felt a little relieved.
Li Rongsen wiped the sweat from An Yan's forehead and asked her, "What's wrong with you? Did you have a nightmare? I saw you crying."
"I cried?" An Yan touched her eyes and sure enough, there were tears.
Li Rongsen asked her: "What happened to you? What kind of dream did you have?"
"I don't know either. I don't remember anything when I woke up." An Yan was telling the truth. She really didn't remember anything, but she felt a tightness in her chest. She asked, "What time is it now?"
"It's almost lunch time, that's why I came to call you." Li Rongsen helped An Yan up. He felt that her face looked a little strange.
"It's so late already." An Yan rubbed his forehead and prepared to go to bed.
Li Rongsen asked: "Didn't you sleep well? If not, go and get some more sleep."
"I'm not going to sleep anymore. I wasn't fully recovered just now, but I feel much better now." An Yan said as she got off the couch and went to the bathroom to wash up. When she came out, she saw food on the table outside.
"It's time for lunch," the old man said, telling his servants to hurry up.
"Where are Meidie and the others? Call them to eat together." An Yan said.
"Meidi is not coming. She is eating in Beifeng's room." Yan Qingqiu said as he walked into the room, sat down at the table calmly and generously, picked up the chopsticks and bowl and started to pick up the dishes.
"Beifeng has fully recovered, right?" An Yan asked.
"It should be about time. I just fought with him. He's pretty capable and quite good." Yan Qingqiu said.
Li Rongsen said, "Two people just came over to the river and asked us to go over and take care of it. It's a complete mess over there."
"Did you send anyone?" An Yan asked.
Suddenly, heavy rain began to fall outside the yard, as if a pool of water had fallen from the sky and was pouring down.
Yan Qingqiu was shocked and asked, "What does this mean? Will there be another rainstorm in West City?"
"How is this possible? Who is causing trouble?" the old man said as he went to see what was going on outside, but another pool of water poured down, almost soaking his clothes. He hurried back into the house and said, "This is really lawless."
An Yan also felt strange. She put down her chopsticks and went out of the house. She conjured up a short arrow with her hand and asked him to find out who did it. In just a moment, Mei Die and Bei Feng hurried into the yard.
Bei Feng, whose arm was pierced by the short arrow, said, "Why did you stab me?"
"Were you responsible for the water just now?" An Yan asked him.
Before Bei Feng could say anything, Mei Die explained, "It's my fault. I wanted him to show me his abilities, but I didn't expect it would affect others."
"With such a huge flood, the entire West City will be submerged in no time." The old man frowned.
"Can you help me take the arrow off?" Beifeng raised his arm.
An Yan waved her finger, and the arrow returned. She said, "You guys have already had lunch, why are you still making such a fuss?"
"We've finished eating, so let's have some fun." Meidie said with her eyes lowered.
An Yan looked at Bei Feng's face and said, "Not bad, you've recovered quite well. Your Kung Fu skills are almost back, right?"
"I just tried it with Yan Qingqiu, and he basically came back. I didn't dare to use my full strength on him, for fear that he wouldn't be able to bear it." Bei Feng said.
"What a joke! How could I possibly not be able to handle you?" Yan Qingqiu was unconvinced upon hearing this. He immediately dropped his chopsticks and bowl, stood up, and walked to the long corridor outside the house. He said to Bei Feng in the yard, "Use your best skills, and let's have a proper competition."
"Okay, just watch." Beifeng said as he waved his hands. Two blue dragons appeared from behind him and flew around in the yard.
Yan Qingqiu was very curious and said, "Wow, this is the legendary Dragon King making rain?"
"You really know your stuff." Bei Feng chuckled and added, "As soon as they spit water, no matter where it is, it will be flooded. I've only scratched the surface, but if my eldest brother comes, it will be a different story. He can turn the world upside down."
"You're bragging." Yan Qingqiu didn't believe it at all.
"Our territories are different, so you haven't heard of it. Our Haiguo is also a big city like Xicheng, and it has jurisdiction over many areas." Beifeng said with some pride.
An Yan naturally believed what he said. She had never been to Haiguo, but she had heard many rumors.
The old man said, "That's true. The world is divided into two parts: West City and Sea Country. We have always respected each other, each keeping to our own boundaries and doing our own things."
"You saved me, which means you have done a favor to the Hai Kingdom. We can form an alliance." Beifeng said.
Meidie just listened carefully from the side. She suddenly felt that Beifeng was not a small person either. She had to be more careful with her words in the future so as not to appear too uncultured. It was not good to be too casual.
The old man said: "It has always been the best to be friends. Who wants to be an enemy?"
"How is this possible? If it weren't for you, Meidie, and the city lord, my life would be over." Beifeng said with great gratitude.
"I should be grateful to Meidie for this. It must be fate." An Yan said and went back to the house to continue eating.
Meidie said: "This is called good deeds are rewarded. If you hadn't saved me, I wouldn't be in this situation now."
Bei Feng smiled at Mei Die, and felt even happier for her. He thought that she and Ling Hai had no chance after all, and she should give up.
"Would you like to come over and eat some more?" Yan Qingqiu said to Mei Die and Bei Feng.
"I don't want to eat anymore. I'll go back to my room first." Meidie said as she walked out of the yard, and Beifeng also left with her.
Yan Qingqiu sat back in his seat and said, "Look at these two people, it seems like they have made eye contact."
"That's a good thing." Li Rongsen replied.
An Yan lowered her eyes and smiled softly, saying, "On the day of Meidie's wedding, we can have a great time in West City."
The old man was surprised and said, "How come I didn't see that they were in love?"
"Because you are an old man and have never fallen in love with anyone, you naturally can't understand these things." Yan Qingqiu said.
"Nonsense, I've been in love too." The old man sneered in dissatisfaction.
Yan Qingqiu immediately became interested and asked him curiously, "Who have you loved?"
"What's it to you?" The old man snorted and strode away.
Yan Qingqiu had no choice but to ask An Yan, "An Yan, do you know who the old man loved?"
"He just wants to be an old man. With his abilities, he should be forever young. Haven't you seen what he looked like when he was young?" An Yan asked him.
"Never seen it before." Yan Qingqiu couldn't help but feel curious.
