Chapter 512: Eliminating the Poison
The next day, An Yan and Li Rongsen went to Linghai. Naturally, they had to say hello first, and besides, the old lady's illness would not be delayed.
Ling Hai also knew that An Yan did not like Ling Xian, so he did not force her to go and worship, and only said: "City Lord, there is no need to be so rigid, just go and do your work."
"Okay, then I won't be polite. I'll go out of town to see grandma in a while, and then I'll go back to town directly, okay?" An Yan's tone was polite.
Ling Hai didn't dare to say no, so he nodded and said, "Okay."
An Yan was about to leave with Li Rongsen.
But Li Rongsen said, "I should have gone with you, but I have something to discuss with Brother Linghai. I'll come find you after I finish my work here, okay?"
"Okay, then I'll go first. You don't have to worry. We can discuss it slowly." After An Yan finished speaking, she left the city first and rushed to her grandmother's place. Uncle Wang happened to be on duty in the city, so he took leave in advance and took her there.
Uncle Wang said, "I don't know why I suddenly became ill. I'm also clueless and can't figure out the cause."
"Don't worry, I can handle it." An Yan signaled him to relax. She came here to do two things at once and was not afraid of not being able to help the old lady.
Uncle Wang asked again, "Why, the City Lord came here alone this time, so why didn't Mr. Li come along?"
"He's here. He's discussing something in Linghai. He'll come over later." An Yan explained to him.
Uncle Wang nodded slightly.
On the other side, Li Rongsen was discussing An Yan's health with Ling Hai and said, "I thought she would probably keep it a secret from me. Yu Yu endured the pain and refused to tell me."
"Logically speaking, it should have started to break out." Ling Hai calculated the date and thought it should be about time. But when Li Rongsen said in his tone that An Yan had never had an attack, it made people confused.
Li Rongsen said bluntly: "I don't want her to feel wronged. She did this for me, so I should also think about her and not let her suffer."
"So you came to me to think of a solution?" Linghai asked him.
"That's exactly what I mean. Do you have any way to make the things in her body fall out on their own?" Li Rongsen asked him. He really hoped that he had a way.
Ling Hai lowered his eyes and thought for a while, then said, "There is a way, but she will forget you."
"Just forget it. I will try my best to pursue her."
"It's not that simple. Just because I forget about you doesn't mean I will fall in love with you 100%." Ling Hai told him frankly, asking him not to be too confident.
Li Rongsen continued, "I don't dare to think so. I'll just do my best. Besides, I don't want her to suffer. Besides, if this thing is not taken out, it will endanger her life."
"That's true. It must be taken out." Ling Hai nodded.
"You don't have to care about me or what I think. What I think is not important. The key is whether An Yan can be safe and sound." Li Rongsen only cared about this matter.
Ling Hai nodded slightly, and then said to Li Rongsen: "The most disadvantageous thing about this matter is you."
"It's not a big deal." Li Rongsen replied.
After hearing what he said, Ling Hai agreed and gave Li Rongsen a method.
Li Rongsen accepted it and went to find An Yan.
An Yan had already confirmed that the old lady was infected with Gu. She frowned and asked, "When did these symptoms begin?"
"It's been the past month, it's been up and down. I didn't pay much attention to it at first, I just thought it was typhoid fever," the old lady said, coughing twice more. "It's just an occasional cough, and I didn't think it was anything serious. But recently, my whole body ached and I couldn't get out of bed, so I realized it was serious."
"I can't figure out why. It turns out he was poisoned." Uncle Wang sighed.
"I have never had any contact with other people, and I have no grudges against anyone. Who put the poison on me?" The old lady was a little confused.
"You'll know once you take the Gu out." An Yan signaled her not to worry, then opened her bag and signaled Xiao Hei to crawl out.
Uncle Wang immediately said, "What is this? Is this it?"
"Don't be afraid, Xiao Hei can remove the poison, he won't hurt you." An Yan said as she motioned Xiao Hei to go to the old lady.
Xiao Hei slowly crawled to the old lady's side and looked her up and down.
The old lady was horrified by what she saw, but fortunately she closed her eyes and stopped looking. Suddenly, she felt a bite on her wrist, and it seemed like something was being pulled out.
An Yan saw Xiao Hei pulling out a black thing, which looked like a worm, thin and long. She thought it would end there, but she saw it had been completely pulled out and thrown to the ground.
Uncle Wang saw it and immediately stepped on it, saying, "This is the poisonous insect in the city. I know who is keeping her."
"Who is it?" An Yan asked.
"It's Lingxian. She raised these bugs." Uncle Wang was furious. He didn't expect that Lingxian was such a bad woman who would actually harm his own wife.
An Yan frowned and said, "I'm afraid I've implicated Grandma. Lingxian is angry with me, but she's taking revenge on Grandma."
Uncle Wang added, "I thought these bugs had been destroyed by Linghai a long time ago, but I didn't expect there was still one. It's really hateful." After he finished speaking, he stomped hard on the ground a few more times.
But the insect could not be killed by being stepped on. It was still moving, but its movements were very slow.
An Yan signaled Uncle Wang to move aside and began to shoot energy at the insect, instantly igniting him and turning him into ashes.
Uncle Wang went over to check the old lady's pulse and said, "You're feeling much better now."
"You still need to recuperate. I'll write a prescription for you later and you just need to boil it according to the instructions." An Yan said as she walked to the other end of the table to write a prescription.
Uncle Wang said, "We have limited medicinal materials here."
"Don't be afraid, I brought the medicine." An Yan signaled him not to worry, and she could also feel Uncle Wang's sincerity and care for grandma.
After An Yan wrote a prescription, she handed it to Uncle Wang, then went to see the old lady and said to her, "It's okay now. Just rest for a few days and you'll be fine."
"Are you staying today?" the old lady asked her.
"I won't stay any longer. I have to go back soon. I'll come to see you next time." An Yan said as she tucked the quilt in for her.
"Okay, I'll come back when I feel better, or I'll come see you." The old lady was still a little weak and her voice was lacking.
An Yan signaled her not to talk any more and said, "If you have anything, ask Ling Hai to bring the letter over."
The old lady nodded.
At this time, Li Rongsen came over from outside and asked, "How is grandma?"
"It's been cured." An Yan waved at him, motioning him to come over.
When Xiao Hei saw Li Rongsen coming, he quickly crawled towards him and coiled around his shoulders, rubbing his cheek and neck with his little head from time to time.
"This little black snake likes him very much." Uncle Wang only now realized that Xiao Hei is also very cute.
Li Rongsen stroked Xiao Hei's body with his fingers and said, "I feed him often." He looked at the old lady again and found that she was still weak. He asked, "How are you now?"
"You were poisoned by a poisonous insect. You're recovered now, but you need to rest for two days. You're very weak." An Yan told him.
Li Rongsen nodded and asked her in a low voice, "When are we going back?"
"It's almost there. I'll have a few words with Uncle Wang." An Yan said as she motioned Uncle Wang over and handed him a few medicine bottles. "These are common medicines, and they're basically universal. There are also first aid pills, keep them safe."
"Thank you." Uncle Wang nodded repeatedly.
"Who cast the poison?" Li Rongsen asked.
"It was the poison cast by the spirit fairy, but there's no need to mention it. She's dead anyway." Uncle Wang said.
Li Rongsen nodded slightly. There was indeed no need to bother with a dead person.
