Chapter 97: Absent-minded

Chapter 97: Absent-minded

An Yan and Rong Qian took a taxi out together. Although it was raining, both of them were in a good mood.

Rong Qian asked her, "What do you want to eat tonight?"

"I'm fine with either. You make the decision and I'll treat you." An Yan said to her generously.

"I'm treating you. I invited you to accompany me." Rong Qian rushed to pay the bill.

"Don't be so polite. Just treat me next time."

Rong Qian thought about it and immediately said to the driver, "Master, drive to the right and go to Chuan Xiang Lou."

"What is that, Sichuan cuisine?" An Yan asked.

"Yes, it's authentic Sichuan cuisine. Lingfeng and I often eat there. Although it tastes spicy, it's delicious. Can you handle spicy food?"

"Not really, but you can eat a little bit." An Yan said.

"Okay, I'll ask them to make it slightly spicy, not too spicy." Rong Qian said to her with a smile.

The taxi arrived at the destination quickly. The two got out of the car, and You Rongqian walked into Chuanxianglou with an umbrella.

Chuan Xiang Lou was full, so many people were waiting outside. For An Yan, it would be the same to eat at another restaurant, but Rong Qian insisted on eating here. She said that the taste of this restaurant was the most authentic, and she hadn't eaten here for a long time. She was just craving food and couldn't satisfy it with other food.

An Yan naturally indulged her and waited with her.

But the number on Rong Qian's hand was fifty, so she said, "It's okay if we go shopping in the mall first and then come over."

"Okay, I'm fine with anything." An Yan nodded, and then followed Rong Qian to the mall.

Rong Qian went to the bookstore and looked for books about dance on the shelves in the art area.

An Yan took the opportunity to ask her, "Rong Qian, what are you going to do next?"

"I want to dance, but I'm afraid Ling Feng will be unhappy." Rong Qian sighed.

"Why should he be unhappy? You're not doing anything improper. It's boring to stay at home alone all the time." An Yan said, looking at Rong Qian's expression and asked, "Does he disagree?"

"Well, he said he'd rather I stay home." Rong Qian was struggling with this, and she was almost unable to bear it. She didn't know what to do, so she added, "Why don't you go and persuade him? He's your classmate, isn't he?"

An Yan's mouth curled up slightly, with a hint of sarcasm in her eyes. What did Ling Feng say to her just now? He said that he would support Rong Qian's hobbies, but it was Rong Qian herself who refused. It was obvious that he was lying.

Rong Qian continued flipping through the book in her hand and said, "I've actually missed the best age for dancing, and I haven't practiced well. I'd like to win a big prize, but I don't know if I'll have another chance. Then I can open a dance class. That would be great."

"If you start practicing now, of course you can win the award." An Yan said.

"I feel like I can't keep up with the physical strength."

"Don't be afraid, I'll help you adjust, you just focus on dancing." An Yan signaled her to rest assured, she would do her best to support her dream.

Rong Qian's spirits were immediately lifted, and she said, "That's great. I'm really touched that you're supporting me."

"Your brother also supports you to continue dancing. You shouldn't just revolve around a man all day. A woman should have her own career and life." An Yan said to her.

"That's what I said." Rong Qian nodded. She glanced at her watch and said, "It's almost time. Let's go over now. It should be our turn soon."

An Yan nodded and went to Chuanxianglou with her.

There were more people there, and it was even a bit crowded. There was almost a long queue at the door, which showed that this store was doing very good business.

At this time, the waiter was announcing: "Please come in and take your seats, guests 111."

Rong Qian heard someone calling her, but she lost her grip and dropped the number on the ground. When she bent down to sign, she found that a woman's hand was faster than hers and picked up the number paper.

"This is mine." Rong Qian said.

"Whoever picks it up owns it. Do you have evidence to prove it's yours?" The woman said as she walked into the store.

"How could you do this? This is obviously my number. You can get it yourself." Rong Qian was really unconvinced.

The woman said, "Now that the number is in my hand, what can you do to me?" Then she gave her a very sarcastic smile.

At this time, An Yan came over, thinking that she was just going to the toilet, how could something go wrong, and asked: "What happened?"

"My number paper fell on the ground, and she picked it up and said it was hers." Rong Qian pulled the woman and refused to let her enter the store.

The woman shook her off and said, "It's your fault for not holding it steady."

An Yan felt that this woman was extremely uncultured and said to her coldly, "Hand it over."

"Why? Whoever gets it owns it."

An Yan stepped forward and held her hand. She was in so much pain that tears were about to fall out. She had no strength left in her hands and had to let go. Then she saw the number paper fell to the ground.

Rong Qian picked it up and said to An Yan, "Let's go, let's go in."

An Yan immediately let go of her hand and followed Rong Qian into the store.

Of course the woman was not convinced, but she didn't dare to do anything.

Rong Qian, An Yan and others were taken to a seat and then started ordering food.

Rong Qian said, "You're really amazing. I feel so safe when I'm with you."

An Yan chuckled and said, "Don't talk like I'm a man."

"It makes me feel safer than men." Rong Qian couldn't help but say. She glanced to the side and suddenly found a familiar figure walking into the box. She couldn't help but feel curious.

An Yan noticed Rong Qian's abnormality and asked, "What's wrong with you? What are you looking at?"

"No, no, I'm just looking for the toilet." Rong Qian said.

"I know there's a toilet outside the store, but I'm not sure if there's one inside." An Yan wanted to find a waiter to ask, but Rong Qian said no, and then said, "I think that looks like a toilet over there. I'll go over there. You wait here."

"Okay." An Yan nodded, thinking that since she came here so often, how could she not know where the toilet was.

Rong Qian stood up and went over there. There was a corridor there, and inside was an exclusive private room. She saw that the rooms in front were still empty because their doors were all open, and only the room in the back was closed.

She walked to the innermost room, trying her best to make no sound, and stopped at the door.

There were people talking in the room, a man and a woman, and there seemed to be no one else.

The man was saying, "Why did you think of eating here? We can go to better places."

"This shop is my family's business. I just brought you here to try the food. How is it? Is it delicious?" This is a woman's voice.

"I never thought that the most popular Sichuan restaurant in the country would be owned by your family."

"My dad is a painter, but my mom is a businesswoman. She's run this restaurant for many years. No one can compare to the authentic Sichuan cuisine here because my mom is from Sichuan," the woman said with a smile. "From now on, whoever marries me will own this place."

"I wonder who has this blessing." The man's voice was flat and it was impossible to tell what he meant.

Rong Qian's cell phone suddenly rang, and she immediately ran away like a rabbit.

The man in the box was alert and opened the door to look, but found that there was no one outside. He thought that there were many people like the ringing phone.

The people in the room shouted: "Ling Feng, what's wrong?"

Ling Feng sat back down and said, "It's okay."
