Chapter 227 What a long dream
Li Rongsen felt that this question was too insulting to him. It was a thorn in his heart. He said, "My relationship with her is that if she wants to find a boyfriend, she must get my consent."
"Why?" Wen Jiaer was confused.
"Because we are good friends, she is afraid that she has chosen the wrong man, and since I am a man, I have some experience."
"Isn't this something Dad should worry about?"
Li Rongsen felt like he was stabbed again, but he could only force a smile and said, "That's what happened anyway."
Wen Jiaer nodded slightly and said, "It turns out she doesn't have a boyfriend yet."
Li Rongsen was stunned. He hated himself for being too truthful. Why didn't he lie just now? But now he couldn't regret it, so he could only say, "She said she didn't plan to find a boyfriend."
Wen Jiaer smiled. He looked at Li Rongsen and said, "So, her destined person hasn't appeared yet."
Li Rongsen turned sideways. He felt an inexplicable pain in his chest, but he couldn't say anything. He asked him, "Why don't you find a girlfriend?"
"My destined person hasn't appeared yet." Wen Jiaer smiled.
In Li Rongsen's eyes, his smile seemed to hide something meaningful, but he didn't realize what Wen Jiaer was thinking, which made it even harder for him to see through him.
"After breaking up with Wang Lina, don't you plan to find someone else you like?" Wen Jiaer asked him.
Li Rongsen frowned and said, "Let's talk about it later."
"Don't think about the unsuitable person, there will always be someone who is right for you."
Li Rongsen just smiled awkwardly and didn't say anything.
"Where are we going to eat today?" Wen Jiaer asked.
At this time, someone knocked on the door.
It was Rong Qian who came over. She handed the handkerchief to Li Rongsen and said, "Brother, this handkerchief was left by Jiaer at Anyan's house. Give it back to him and tell him to be more careful next time."
Li Rongsen took it and said, "Let's eat together."
"I'm not eating anymore. I have an appointment." Rong Qian said and left.
Li Rongsen didn't have the energy to stop her and ask who she had an appointment with today. He turned back, handed the handkerchief to Wen Jiaer, and said, "Why did you leave your things at Anyan's house?"
Wen Jiaer quickly took it, folded it carefully, and hid it in his jacket pocket. He said, "It must have fallen out when I was wiping the rain. I was so careless. It would be troublesome if it fell out."
"You're a grown man, why do you need a handkerchief with two peach blossoms embroidered on it? It looks so effeminate. Who likes you embroidered it?" Li Rongsen asked. He wished that many women liked him so that he could quickly pick one of them to be with him.
Wen Jiaer said: "I'm looking for someone."
"Who are you looking for?" Li Rongsen asked him as he picked up the water cup and drank some water.
"Looking for an old friend, someone I knew a long, long time ago, someone who can embroider two peach blossoms." Wen Jiaer answered him, clearly with a story to tell, with a hint of melancholy in his eyes. He added, "I came back this time just to find her."
"Is this your sweetheart, your destined one?" Li Rongsen asked.
Wen Jiaer nodded and said, "I want to be with her. We were destined to be together in our previous life, and we will definitely meet again in this life. She will recognize me when she sees this peach blossom, for sure."
Li Rongsen thought this was a really romantic idea. He thought that this was good, since it had nothing to do with An Yan. His mood immediately brightened up and he said to Wen Jiaer, "Come on, let me treat you to a meal. But don't be polite with me. Let's go to the most expensive place."
It was still raining outside, beating against the windows relentlessly.
An Yan didn't go anywhere today. She lay on the sofa, looking at the rain outside the window, and fell asleep while looking.
She dreamed of spring, a beautiful season.
The peach blossoms in Taohuazhuang are in full bloom, and the whole place is filled with pink, with patches of them like red clouds. She sits on a chair in front of the house, feeling a little weak.
Someone came out of the house, holding a thin blanket. He covered An Yan with it and said, "Ayan, it's cold this morning. Don't catch a cold."
"Little sister, where did he go?"
"Brother Jiaer said he was going out to buy something, but I don't know what he bought." The younger sister took out a medicine bowl from the inner room and said, "Ayan, it's time to apply the medicine."
She lifted An Yan's skirt. Her legs were covered in cuts and bruises, with pieces of flesh missing here and there. It was ugly and shocking. She sighed, "Does it still hurt?"
"It doesn't hurt anymore." An Yan replied, but she still remembered the scene of that day. She had always been an assassin who never failed. She had thought that after finishing this big deal, she would retire from the underworld and not care about worldly affairs, but she didn't want to be captured.
A failed assassination meant death. She thought she would never come back, but unexpectedly he saved her life.
"The emperor is so cruel. How could he come up with the idea of cutting flesh one by one? He is so brutal and inhumane. It is right to kill him. Look at how miserable the people in the city are." The younger sister wiped her eyes as she spoke.
"I'm wondering, after we kill him, who will take over?"
"King Ren De is a king of a different surname, but he has the talent and ambition to be an emperor." The younger sister applied the medicine carefully.
An Yan looked up into the distance and saw someone running towards her, shouting, "A Yan, I'm back."
The younger sister immediately stood up to check and said with a smile, "Brother Jiaer, where have you been? Why did you take so long?" She handed him the medicine bowl and said, "You help Ayan apply the medicine. I'll go make lunch." After saying that, she went back to the house.
"Ayan, look, what I bought for you." Jiaer handed the things in his hand to An Yan.
It is five-colored needles, threads and cloth.
An Yan said the day before yesterday that she wanted to learn embroidery and no longer be an assassin.
As Jiaer applied medicine to her leg, he said, "Let's embroider peach blossoms. Two, one for you and one for me, on the handkerchief, okay?"
"I've never embroidered before, so I need to learn first. Let my younger sister teach me." An Yan nodded.
"I'm going out for a few days and will be back in three days, okay?"
"Where are you going?"
Carl covered her legs tightly with a thin blanket and said, "Let's buy some things. We still need a lot of furniture here."
“I don’t think there’s a shortage.”
Jia Er raised his eyes to look at Anyan, smiled at her gently, and said, "This will be your home from now on, and the peach tree will be yours too. It will be wonderful to see peach blossoms in the spring and eat peaches in the summer."
"I'll watch it for you for the time being." An Yan replied lightly. She had never thought of occupying his house.
"Every peach tree here was planted by me. This is the sixth year. No one knows about this place. No one will know about it." Jiaer said as he looked at the peach trees beside him.
An Yan reached out and picked up the peach blossom that fell on his shoulder.
Jia Er took it from her hand, clipped it in her hair, and said, "Ayan, you are the most important thing, don't worry about anything else."
"Come back soon."
"good."
He was gone for much longer than three days. On the fifth day, his younger sister came back crying and said to Anyan, "Ayan, Brother Jiaer is dead."
"How could that be? He said he would come back." An Yan put down the embroidery in her hand. She had just finished embroidering two peach blossoms.
"He's dead, really dead. When he went to assassinate the dog emperor, he was shot into a hedgehog by thousands of arrows. A spear pierced his throat and his intestines were dug out. His body was hung on the city gate to deter people with evil intentions." The little sister's tears fell like rain.
An Yan didn't cry. She lowered her head to look at the handkerchief in her hand. In just a few days, she had embroidered the peach blossoms exquisitely and beautifully. Then she saw a flower falling from the tree and covering one of the flowers.
"Ayan, where are you going? Ayan!" The younger sister saw An Yan drop the handkerchief in her hand and run out of the peach forest.
