Chapter 242 What if there's a next time...



"Get out? Why should I get out?"

"My mom said that no matter whose name the house my dad bought is registered under, half of it belongs to me. She'll tell me to get out, but give me half!"

Lin Mengmeng finished speaking with a smile and bent down.

He grabbed the tabby cat by the scruff of its neck and lifted it up, then stretched out his arm and dangled it over the balcony.

"They say cats have nine lives, I really want to try it out..."

Lin Xiaoya slammed the trunk shut, rushed upstairs in a few quick steps, and ran onto the balcony without even changing her shoes.

Seeing Lin Mengmeng holding the cat in her arms, a smug smile appeared on her face.

Lin Xiaoya was furious. She gritted her teeth, raised her arm, and slapped her hard across the face.

"If this happens again, I'll throw you off the building!"

Her pupils contracted, her eyes sharp as knives, and her shoulders shrugged slightly, as if she were truly gathering her strength, preparing to kill Lin Mengmeng.

Sensing her owner's thunderous rage, the cat in her arms shrieked in alarm, stretched out its claws, and kicked hard against Lin Mengmeng's arm before darting away.

Lin Mengmeng's head was turned to one side by the force of that slap, her ears were ringing, her cheek was swollen and numb, and she could hardly stand up.

A sudden, sharp pain shot through her arm, and the double agony brought tears to her eyes.

"Lin Xiaoya, you're courting death!"

After a brief moment of shock, she pushed Lin Xiaoya away and ran downstairs crying loudly.

Hearing the engine roar to life, followed by a violent slam of the iron gate, Lin Xiaoya slumped her shoulders in despair…
