"Change to the next flight, I'll have Hong's men pick you up!"
Lu Han, without suspecting anything, picked up her phone and called Master Hong.
Lu Baoqi pressed down on his wrist, "Don't bother Master Hong, just let Feng Anna pick me up. She shouldn't have gone far after dropping us off!"
As she spoke, she took out an exquisite gift box from her bag.
"When I was in China, there was an aunt who was very kind to me, named Cuihua. Could you go back and give this to her for me, and also invite her to the banquet?"
Lu Baoqi went up and hugged him.
"I didn't have any real friends in China, and it wasn't until I came here that I realized she was the best person to me!"
"Sigh, to be honest, if she were by my side, I would definitely be happier than I am now. By the way, she's a pretty good actress!"
Cuihua, isn't that his biological mother?
Lu Han's thoughts raced through her mind.
Remembering that Feng Anna was also one of Master Hong's people, she slowly let go of Lu Baoqi's hand.
"I'll board first, you take the next flight. Don't change your ticket again, or your parents and sister will worry about you!"
"I'll contact Anna for you!"
He didn't fully trust Lu Baoqi, but he had no doubts about Feng Anna's stance.
Lu Baoqi remained calm, nodded, and watched him walk into the boarding gate before turning and leaving.
Lu Han received a message from Feng Anna before the plane took off, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
...
Gu Huainan's hotel choices were all rejected, leaving Lu Yi to decide for himself. In the end, he chose an inconspicuous hotel.
Gu Keke and Fan Huijun share a room, while Gu Huainan and Lu Yi share a room.
Why do you live here?
Gu Keke looked at the cramped room, her brow furrowed.
Gu Huainan didn't quite understand either. They weren't short of money; what kind of hotel couldn't they afford? Staying in this kind of hotel was really inappropriate for their status.
Lu Yi walked to the window, opened the curtains and glanced outside. "Just bear with it for one night, we'll change it tomorrow."
Gu Keke stood beside him and looked into the distance.
"Second brother, this place is the closest to that hospital. Lu Yi was worried I wouldn't be able to get up, so he chose this place, right, Lu Yi?"
Lu Yi patted her head, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
He wasn't doing it for that reason; it was because this was the "safe zone" designated by Gong Che.
He was going out in a little while, and the safety of Gu Huainan and Gu Keke needed to be ensured, so Gong Che made this arrangement for him.
When he came in, he saw a familiar face.
That person was Lu Baoqi's former manager.
However, he has now changed his effeminate appearance and mannerisms and transformed into the lobby manager of this hotel.
Gu Huainan and Gu Keke didn't care much about these things, so they didn't recognize him.
"Why can't we go to the hospital from where we're staying? We can just rent a car later. I don't like it here; I want to move!"
Gu Huainan picked up his suitcase and was about to go downstairs when Lu Yi swiftly stopped him.
"Coco is tired too, so don't bother him. Besides, we came here for Coco's check-up, wouldn't it be better to travel less?"
"Why don't you ask my sister if she agrees to the change?"
Lu Yi couldn't explain things too thoroughly to Gu Huainan yet; the less he knew about this matter, the better.
"Second brother, if you want to leave, you can leave. I'll share a room with Lu Yi, hmph!"
Gu Keke clung to Lu Yi's arm and snuggled against him affectionately.
Lu Yi dialed Fan Huijun's number.
"Sis, I've sent you the hotel location. Take a look and see if it suits you. If not, we'll change it."
Gu Huainan grimaced, trying to stop him, but Lu Yi had already finished speaking.
Fan Huijun was on her way to the coffee shop where she had arranged to meet Liang Shiyue when she heard this. She blurted out, "If there's anything inappropriate, you guys rest first. I'll be right back!"
"By the way, Yi'er, I might need to buy some things later. If it's convenient, could you come and help me carry them?"
She had promised Liang Shiyue that she would call Lu Yi out, and this was the only way she could do it.
Lu Yi readily agreed.
About two hours later, Fan Huijun sent a message.
Gu Keke was sleeping soundly in Lu Yi's arms, while Gu Huainan sat in front of the computer, intently studying some materials.
Lu Yi greeted them and then went out.
As dusk fell, pedestrians of all races hurried along.
Lu Yi put on his hoodie hoodie, walked through the streets, and finally stopped at a subway station entrance.
Then he turned back the way he came, and halfway there, he suddenly jogged across the intersection and got into a taxi.
"Mr. Lu, congratulations, you have completed your mission."
After more than half an hour of fussing, he was drenched in sweat.
Lu Yi glanced at the driver wearing a mask and said in fluent foreign language, "Your boss is a devil. You'd better stay away from him."
The driver smiled and asked him where he wanted to go.
Lu Yi gave an address, and three-quarters of an hour later, the coffee shop that Fan Huijun had mentioned came into view.
The driver didn't say anything more and sped away.
Standing on the street corner opposite the coffee shop, Liang Shiyue watched Lu Yi get out of the car and enter the shop, and the light in her eyes became somewhat blurred.
It really is him; he's gotten a bit stronger than before.
He still prefers to wear white clothes; his style of dress is just like his personality—so white that it's impossible to tell what he's really thinking.
Liang Shiyue really wanted to go over and say hello to him.
After taking a few steps forward, he gave up again.
She's no longer qualified; at least not now.
Otherwise, she would be letting down Lu Yi for the protection and arrangements he made for her.
Fan Huijun watched Liang Shiyue's hesitant figure and felt anxious for her. When she saw Lu Yi come in, she was just about to bring it up with him.
