Chapter 125 Netherworld Dining House - Special Supply
Meanwhile, deep within the underworld, inside Shen Tu's temple.
The space suddenly distorted violently, and a figure shrouded in chilling aura appeared abruptly.
Shen Tu, who was reviewing the list of ghost soldiers, suddenly trembled, and his vermilion brush fell onto the list, spreading a large, glaring red stain.
He looked up abruptly and saw that Feng Jin was surrounded by a terrifying aura, which even dimmed the eternal lamps in the hall.
He abruptly stood up, looked at Feng Jin whose aura was so low it could freeze a ghost to death, and stammered:
"Your Majesty?! What's wrong with you? Who has angered you so much?"
Feng Jin stared at Shen Tu and asked a question that made even the seasoned Shen Tu doubt his own ears:
“Shen Tu,” Feng Jin’s voice was deep, “tell me, if I were to reincarnate now, would it be too late?”
Shen Tu: "...?!"
Reincarnation?!
Shen Tu was extremely grateful that he was already dead, otherwise he might have been scared to death a second time.
Shen Tu's mind raced, and he remembered the mortal woman that Feng Jin had brought back last time.
In his mind, he had already conjured up a melodramatic story of a mortal woman seducing and then abandoning her, leading to the emperor's disillusionment and desire to be reincarnated. He felt that life as a ghost was incredibly difficult.
Shen Tu cried out, "Your Majesty, please reconsider! You mustn't do something rash!"
"If you're feeling too down, go out and clear your head! Go to the Demon Realm and beat up the Demon Lord, go to the Heavenly Realm and play chess with the Heavenly Emperor, or float on the River of Oblivion for a few days?"
"I'll temporarily cover the official duties in Fengdu. Please don't be impulsive and go to be reincarnated!"
Upon hearing this, Feng Jin's terrifyingly low aura seemed to freeze for a moment.
He tilted his head slightly, his gaze falling on Shen Tu, and surprisingly nodded, replying, "Okay."
Shen Tu: "...??"
He was completely stunned.
Okay...okay what? What did he say?
He just blurted it out in a moment of panic, telling the Emperor to go out and relax; he didn't really intend to take over.
The daily cycle of official documents that Fengdu must handle, the coordination of yin and yang balance...
Is that even human work?!
No, no, no, Shen Tu just wants to be a handsome man in peace!
"Your Majesty! I...I'm not..." Shen Tu stammered, trying to explain.
However, Feng Jin gave him no chance to make amends.
"My heart is in turmoil." Feng Jin's voice was low and cold, carrying a restless frustration that had nowhere to go.
He raised his hand, and the space in front of him suddenly distorted. "My power has recovered quite a bit recently. I'll go find Mingye and give him a beating to clear my head."
Before he finished speaking, he left only one last, nonchalant sentence: "The affairs of Fengdu are entrusted to you."
"Your Majesty! No!!"
Shen Tu's wailing echoed throughout the entire temple.
Unfortunately, Feng Jin's figure had completely disappeared into the space, leaving Shen Tu staring at the air, wanting to cry but having no tears.
Meanwhile, in the human world, in Black Wind Village.
Shen Yuepo finally came to her senses.
She instinctively picked up her phone, unlocked it, found Feng Jin's name, and pressed the dial button.
"Beep...beep..."
A cold, electronic voice announced the news.
Shen Yuepo immediately realized the problem: his cell phone signal was completely lost.
Outside the window, the entire Black Wind Village was plunged into pitch blackness, and even the faint noise from the temporary compound of the Special Case Bureau not far away was instantly replaced by amplified deathly silence.
The village lost power, which also paralyzed the mobile base station, leaving no network signal.
The mighty Emperor of Fengdu, if he's angry, why does he take it out on the entire village's power grid?
Shen Yuepo glanced at the portable rechargeable emergency light on the table, which Wu Feng had brought last night.
Her gaze shifted to the two food boxes that still emitted the aroma of food.
Shen Yuepo walked to the table, picked up the two still substantial food boxes and the emergency light, pushed open the door, and headed towards the courtyard where Wu Feng and the others were temporarily stationed to treat the wounded.
Inside the compound, the wounded are receiving initial examinations and treatment.
The logistics staff are preparing a simple late-night snack, consisting of nothing more than bread, sausages, and instant noodles.
When Shen Yuepo appeared in the courtyard carrying two large food boxes, the entire courtyard instantly fell silent.
All eyes were on her and what she was holding.
"Master Shen?" Wu Feng was the first to react, rushing forward to greet him. Looking at the two food boxes, he was shocked and bewildered. "What is this...?"
Shen Yuepo remained calm and placed the two food boxes on an empty long wooden table in the center of the courtyard. He said calmly, "This is a midnight snack. Share it with everyone, don't waste it."
After saying that, she ignored everyone's stunned expressions and turned to go back to her small, dilapidated house.
She needs to rest as soon as possible, as she has to go into the mountains again tomorrow.
"Master Shen, wait!" Wu Feng quickly called out to her, "Where did you come from...?"
Shen Yuepo paused, but without turning her head, casually tossed out a sentence: "Oh, a friend gave it to me, I can't finish it."
A gift from a friend? You can't finish it?
As everyone watched Shen Yuepo's figure disappear into the night, Wu Feng and everyone present fell into silence.
In the dead of night, in the middle of nowhere, what kind of "friend" could deliver two large boxes of steaming food without anyone noticing?
Recalling the sudden power and internet outage that had just occurred to the entire village, a chill ran down everyone's spines, and they couldn't help but shiver.
Wu Feng steeled himself, took the emergency light, and approached to examine the two enormous food containers.
When the flashlight beam swept across the side of the food box, he noticed with his sharp eyes that there were several words engraved on it:
"Netherworld Dining House - Special Offer"
Wu Feng gasped sharply, feeling a chill travel from the soles of his feet straight to the top of his head.
The Netherworld... Restaurant?!
This, this is really... He dared not think any further and quickly looked away.
His awe and understanding of Shen Yuepo instantly rose to an unimaginable level.
Master Shen... is indeed no ordinary person!
The "friend" she's talking about probably lives down there!
The next morning, as dawn broke.
Shen Yuepo opened her eyes on the hard bed, took out her phone and glanced at it; the signal bars were still empty.
Shen Yuepo: "..."
She sighed silently.
Forget it, let's talk about it after we get out of Black Wind Pass.
