Liu Jinghong paused in her steps.
Chu Hongluan sighed and called out to the group that was still circling around the demons ahead, "You guys go up first."
"good."
Everyone responded without hesitation.
They fought and retreated, climbing the cloud ladder all the way up.
There weren't many demons left who still had fighting power, and most of them were injured to varying degrees. At this moment, they were only facing off against the group with great caution, and it seemed that they had no intention of fighting to the death.

Within the seal, the black mist slowly condensed into a human shape.
He transformed into a young man dressed in black with dark hair.
He crossed his arms, a half-smile playing on his lips, his gaze, filled with intense aggression, fixed directly into Chu Hongluan's eyes.
“Eri, how about trying to bow down to your former master? Just for the sake of the man beside you. Look how much he loves you, even willing to abandon the dignity of the young master of the Heavenly Mystery Pavilion and debase himself to become a sword servant of a demonic blade for you. And you? Are you willing to make a sacrifice for him to prove your love?”
"Don't even think about it!"
Before Chu Hongluan could speak, Liu Jinghong roared and pulled Chu Hongluan behind him.
With just this one movement, Liu Jinghong's face turned even paler, and she almost lost her footing.
Chu Hongluan didn't say anything, but silently moved closer to him and supported him from behind.
Feeling the warmth behind him, Liu Jinghong felt a sense of reassurance. He took a deep breath, his gaze towards the Demon Lord darkening, and his grip on Chu Hongluan's wrist tightened unconsciously.
"You're not the only one who knows the truth about my father's death. Since you won't tell us the truth, then we're leaving."

"You are not worthy to address my mother by her given name!"
"Hmph. You're right, she does know the truth about what happened back then. But will she tell you? If she would, you wouldn't have stayed because of a single, baseless statement from me."
Liu Jinghong's face grew increasingly grim. After a long silence, she said in a low voice, "I will ask her."
"Hahahaha!" The Demon Lord laughed loudly again, every syllable radiating undisguised mockery.
Suddenly, his laughter stopped abruptly, turning into a low growl: "She won't tell you! Because back then, it was she who killed Liu Qingfeng!"
Before the name Liu Qingfeng was even uttered, Chu Hongluan had already quickly reached out and covered his ears.
Don't believe him.
But Liu Jinghong still heard it, and her whole body trembled uncontrollably.
"No, no way. You're lying to me, you're lying to me."
Chu Hongluan sighed, then gently hugged his waist and repeated, "Don't believe him, Senior Brother."
The Demon Lord raised his chin slightly, looking down at them with an air of superiority, his tone mocking:
"Don't believe it, don't believe it! Is that all you can say from your high ground? Instead of that, why don't you humble yourself and beg me properly? I will then tell you everything that happened back then. Then you can let him judge whether it's true or false!"
"Shut up!"
Liu Jinghong growled and swayed again.
"Oh? You're already in so much pain, yet you still want to protect her? Is it worth it? Can't you see this woman's true colors? She doesn't love you at all. She could easily solve your pain with just a few humble words, but she selfishly remains silent."
"Shut up!!!"
This sound was almost a roar.
Liu Jinghong's eyes were red, but he still held Chu Hongluan tightly behind him, his gaze unexpectedly firm: "No one is worthy of humiliating my junior sister. Not even myself."
He lowered his eyes, avoiding the Demon Lord's incredulous gaze.
"I will verify the information about my father with my mother myself."
After saying that, he pulled Chu Hongluan and turned to leave.
But it couldn't be pulled.
"Really..."
The air pressure around Chu Hongluan dropped to freezing point, and her blood-red eyes became terrifyingly dark, as if some kind of chilling and terrifying storm was churning inside.
"I've had enough of your bullshit."
"I thought that a Demon Lord of this generation could use some superb methods."
