As I entered the room, I saw him come in and I recoiled as if startled, my body trembling involuntarily.
He frowned as he looked at me.
When other women saw him, they would immediately run over and give him a big hug.
He moved closer to me with a menacing air and asked softly, "Why aren't you eating?"
"I'm not very hungry!" Her voice was slightly choked.
"Take just one bite, then take the birth control pill!" His tone was gentle, yet cold and merciless.
He patted my head, but his eyes were as cold as ice.
It was as if he was warning me to listen to him.
"Okay!" I nodded in agreement, mainly because I didn't want to get pregnant.
The servants brought out the food again, and after I finished eating, he handed me the medicine.
Without the slightest hesitation, I swallowed it.
He watched me swallow.
"I'll arrange a contraceptive injection for you tomorrow. Taking pills all the time isn't good for your health!" he said, seemingly out of concern.
It was as if it were stroking a beloved pet, gently stroking my straight, black hair.
