As if he had been prepared, Qin Shisheng quickly pulled a small voice recorder from his pocket and pressed the play button without hesitation.
Play the dialogue inside for me.
First came Qin Shisheng's deep voice: "I can let your company go! But I only want Yao Qian!"
Then Jin Buwei's voice rang out: "Fine! I want 3 billion!"
Qin Shisheng was clearly furious, and his voice instantly rose eight octaves: "3 billion? You're asking for the moon!"
Jin Buwei was not intimidated by his imposing manner. Instead, he replied in a flippant tone, "Of course you can choose not to give it! But she is indeed extremely beautiful! Even Wang Yijin is tempted! He is willing to offer 1 billion."
Qin Shisheng was even more furious and said, word by word, "I'll give you 1.5 billion! If you agree, then this deal is done."
If you insist on having 3 billion, I'm afraid even if I had the money for you, you might not be alive to spend it!
Finally, Jin Buwei nonchalantly replied, "Okay! See you at the bank entrance tomorrow!"
Immediately afterwards, there was the sound of a door opening and footsteps leaving.
I stood there, stunned, the heartbreaking conversation echoing in my ears, my heart growing heavier and more painful.
Tears uncontrollably blurred my vision.
My heart is aching unbearably...
"This is what we discussed the day before the car accident!"
He asked me the same question.
"You lost, so you lost. Are you still not willing to admit defeat?"
"I don't believe it... I don't believe it... How could this be..." My voice trembled, filled with unbearable pain.
He covered his head tightly with both hands, as if that could alleviate the pain in his heart.
He kept muttering to himself, "I don't believe it! I don't believe it! I absolutely refuse to believe it!"
She screamed hysterically, completely out of control.
Standing to the side, he felt heartbroken seeing me like this, and involuntarily reached out to support me as I swayed precariously.
"Don't get so agitated! Calm down!" he shouted anxiously, as if afraid I might accidentally fall off the bed.
In the blink of an eye, he swiftly stretched out his strong arms and pulled me tightly into his embrace.
Startled by his sudden action, I felt somewhat helpless in his warm embrace, my body trembling uncontrollably.
But I still stubbornly muttered to myself:
"I...I don't believe it! It can't be like this...it can't be like this..."
He leaned down and whispered in my ear, "Little fairy, wake up. He doesn't love you at all! All he cares about is power and status."
He only pursued you to make some kind of deal or negotiate with me or someone else. How could you be so foolish? Couldn't you see through his true colors!
Hearing her words, my head was buzzing. In an instant, everything went black before my eyes, the whole world spun around, and then I fainted without any awareness.
"Yao Qian... Yao..." He called my name anxiously, shaking me tightly in his arms as I lay unconscious.
His voice was low and hoarse, filled with anxiety.
He growled, "Jiang Zhou, call the doctor right now!"
—
When I slowly opened my eyes
I found that it was pitch black outside the window, and the night enveloped the whole world.
By the dim light in the ward.
I saw my brother and Xiaohua lying beside me. One of them was curled up on the narrow hospital bed, while the other was leaning against the uncomfortable sofa, fast asleep.
Looking at their tired faces, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow.
I tiptoed out of bed, afraid of waking them.
Dragging her weakened body, she walked slowly and laboriously towards the top floor of the hospital.
The wind on the rooftop was a bit chilly, ruffling my hair and bringing a slight cold. I walked up to the platform, wanting to find a place to sit down and rest for a while.
However, just as I was about to sit down,
A nimble figure rushed over like lightning.
A strong arm instantly wrapped around my waist, forcefully pulling me back from the edge of the platform.
"Are you crazy? You'd risk your life for that kind of good-for-nothing man?" Lin Zhibai roared, his voice filled with barely concealed rage.
I was startled by his sudden shout and froze.
Coming to her senses, she stammered, "Zhibai, what are you doing here?"
"Brother Qin was worried about you, so he specifically asked me to come and keep an eye on you, afraid that you might do something foolish in a moment of despair!" Lin Zhibai was still angry, but his eyes revealed his concern for me.
I lowered my head, my voice becoming weak.
"I really didn't want to commit suicide. I just felt a tightness in my chest and was feeling uncomfortable, so I thought I'd come here to get some fresh air..."
After I finished speaking, I turned around, leaned against the balcony railing, and slowly squatted down, gently sitting on the ground.
Looking at the bustling crowd downstairs, I couldn't help but laugh as I thought about the words of love Jin Buwei had whispered in my ear while holding me.
As she laughed, tears streamed down her face.
"I thought he was salvation, but I never imagined he was another abyss."
"But I don't regret it at all! After all, he reached out to me when I was at my most vulnerable and suffocating, giving me a glimmer of warmth and hope."
However, I forgot one crucial point—men are utterly unreliable!
