Upon arriving at the imposing gate of the Qin family,
The first thing that catches the eye is the two solemn and majestic stone lions.
They stood there silently, still majestic.
I had just stepped into the spacious and bright courtyard of the front hall.
Just then, a series of cheerful footsteps sounded.
I, Little White, rushed out like a white lightning bolt, warmly welcoming my return.
Looking at Little White now, he has grown up, with a strong body and snow-white fur.
I saw it running towards me excitedly, a brightly colored ball tightly clutched in its mouth.
A familiar light shone in its bright eyes; it clearly still remembered me, its master.
When it ran up to me,
Little White gently placed the small ball from its mouth onto the ground.
Then it rubbed its head against my legs and began to excitedly circle around my feet.
From its movements and eyes, it's easy to see how much it wants me to play with it.
Looking at the adorable little white one,
I couldn't help but smile indulgently as I bent down and picked up the small ball from the ground.
The moment I held the ball, Xiaobai let out a joyful cry, as if cheering for the game that was about to begin.
Just then, Butler Sun walked over slowly with a smile on his face.
He bowed slightly and said politely, "Miss Yao, you're back! I can tell Xiaobai is extremely happy to see you!"
Hearing what Butler Sun said, I squatted down and gently stroked Xiaobai's soft fur, and replied with a smile, "Thank you, Butler Sun. You've taken such good care of Xiaobai these past few days."
Butler Sun quickly and respectfully replied, "Miss Yao, you flatter us. This is all within our duty, and we should do our best."
I then said to Butler Sun, "I'll play with Xiaobai for a while, you can go and do your own thing."
After bowing slightly once more, Steward Sun respectfully withdrew.
However, when my gaze inadvertently swept over the dungeon where my brother had been imprisoned, I wondered if Zhibai might have been locked up there as well.
So, I instinctively threw the ball in my hand forcefully towards the dungeon.
Almost simultaneously, Xiaobai immediately sprinted off, chasing after the rolling ball.
Seeing this, I didn't hesitate to run after him, a faint hope in my heart that I wanted to see if Lin Zhibai would appear nearby.
Unfortunately, when I arrived at the dungeon, panting, all I saw was desolation.
The dungeon was long gone, the walls marked by the passage of time, showing no signs that anyone had ever lived there.
I couldn't help but wonder: Lin Zhibai, where are you?
...
Night fell,
A tall, imposing figure was striding toward me.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be Qin Shisheng.
He had a bright, cheerful smile on his face.
He carried large and small bags in both hands and placed them in front of me.
I then discovered that he had brought many exquisite gifts.
Among them are several handbags from high-end luxury brands, exquisitely designed and made of superior materials; and a Bulgari limited edition necklace, with dazzling gemstones radiating a captivating glow.
“My little fairy, these are limited edition items that I specially asked Jiang Zhou to buy for you from various brands! I didn’t know exactly what you liked, so I just bought them all for you.” Qin Shisheng said, placing the gifts on the table.
I glanced at the gift, but I didn't feel much excitement.
I said softly, "Ah Sheng, you really don't need to send so many things. Actually, I don't particularly like these things, but thank you for your kind gesture anyway!"
Qin Shisheng then chuckled.
Then he unbuttoned his coat and deftly hung it on the hanger.
Immediately afterwards, he sat down next to me and pulled me into his arms.
He picked me up and carried me straight to the bedside, gently placing me on the soft mattress.
He leaned down and looked at me gently, asking, "Little fairy, what kind of gift do you like? What do you really want?"
I looked up into his deep and warm eyes, thought for a moment, and said, "Actually, for me, the happiest days are the ordinary ones."
I don't need too many luxurious items; living a simple life is enough.
Qin Shisheng's lips curled up, revealing a doting smile.
He paused for a moment.
He seemed to suddenly remember something.
"By the way, someone mortgaged the farm island in the North District to me a while ago. Since you like a peaceful life, how about we go there and stay for a while? Get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some quiet and pleasant time."
After a while, I replied, "Hmm... let's go after the New Year."
Qin Shisheng nodded slightly in agreement.
Then he reached out and gently stroked my long, black, and shiny hair.
His fingers slowly ran through my hair, giving me a ticklish sensation.
Then, he lowered his head and placed a kiss on my fair and delicate face, and I could feel his joy.
I nestled in his broad embrace.
Quietly enjoy this warm moment.
Then, somewhat tentatively, she asked, "Ah Sheng, when I was watching TV just now, they said that Lin Zhibai has passed away. Will this have any impact on you?"
Upon hearing this,
Qin Shisheng frowned slightly, a hint of displeasure flashing across his face, and asked, "What? Are you worried about him now?"
When asked that,
A slight panic gripped me, and I quickly explained, "No, I was just a little curious. Besides, wasn't Lin Zhibai your right-hand man? Aren't you sad at all about his passing?"
