Chapter 202 Can't Let Go

Just then,

The door to the ward was slowly pushed open, and a tall, slender figure appeared in the doorway.

Kim Bu-hwan walked in with steady steps, dressed in a well-fitting light gray suit.

The melancholy atmosphere that had filled the room became...

The atmosphere grew even more somber.

"Qin Shisheng, let her go!"

Qin Shisheng gently wiped away the crystal-clear tears from the corners of her eyes, her movements soft and slow.

He slowly released the hands that had been tightly holding me.

Qin Shisheng slowly turned her head, her gaze falling on Jin Buhuan who was standing there.

Anger permeated his eyes and brows.

"Who allowed you to come in!" Qin Shisheng roared.

With a serious expression, Jin Buhuan threw a document he was holding at Qin Shisheng's feet.

The document traced an arc in the air before landing steadily at Qin Shisheng's feet.

Jin Buhuan's tone was cold and resolute.

"Take a good look for yourself!"

Qin Shisheng hesitated for a moment, but eventually bent down and picked up the documents from the ground.

He opened the file and began to read it word by word.

As he read on, his brows furrowed deeper and deeper, forming a deep frown.

Qin Shisheng murmured incredulously, his voice filled with shock.

"Impossible! This is absolutely impossible! How could she possibly have...this kind of disease?"

Kim Bu-hwan's eyes were unwavering.

"If you don't believe me, you can ask the doctors outside. This is a hospital run by your Qin family; do you think anyone would dare to lie to you?"

Qin Shisheng could no longer sit still. He suddenly stood up and rushed out of the ward.

In the blink of an eye, they disappeared outside the door.

Immediately afterwards, Kim Bu-hwan slowly walked to my side.

He looked down at my injured arm, his eyes filled with heartache.

He spoke softly.

"Qianqian, does it hurt? Please don't hurt yourself like this again. I'm really worried when I see you like this."

I looked up and glanced at him indifferently.

My lips parted slightly: "Thank you!"

Kim Bu-hwan reached out and gently stroked my long, black hair that cascaded down like a waterfall, his fingers lightly running through the strands.

"I'd be happy to help you!"

I helped myself up from the bed.

She gazed at him with somewhat dim eyes and asked softly:

"How much time do you think I have left?"

Jin Buhuan forced a smile and said, "I was just kidding Qin Shisheng, don't take it seriously!"

However, after he finished speaking, he dared not look me in the eye again.

At this time,

I sighed softly and slowly said, "I want to go see Lin Zhibai!"

Kim Bu-hwan reached out and held my wrist.

He nodded and replied, "Okay."

Throughout the journey, Jin Buhuan kept muttering to himself.

"Lin Zhibai's matter has nothing to do with you. If you hadn't come back, Qin Shisheng would have kept him locked up for life! Your arrival is a relief for him. You don't need to worry too much about him; he has already woken up..."

They told me not to do anything foolish, and offered some words of comfort.

But at this moment I am upset.

I couldn't hear what he was saying at all.

I went to Lin Zhibai's bedside.

He had already woken up by this time.

However, the expression on his face appeared exceptionally cold and distant.

When he saw me,

Their eyes were filled with unfamiliarity, as if they had never seen me before.

He stared straight at me.

He asked in a slightly hoarse voice, "Who are you?"

Those two simple words made me catch my breath.

My lips trembled slightly.

In the end, he could only stammer, "I am...I am...I'm fine!"

Tears were already welling up in her eyes.

It's a good thing he forgot about me!

After all, memories can be categorized in two ways: pleasant ones are called recollections, and unpleasant ones are called pain.

Lin Zhibai subconsciously moved his body backward, creating some distance between us.

Looking bewildered, he continued to ask, "Have we met before? I've lost part of my memory, and I can't remember anything."

My tears could no longer be held back and streamed down my face.

I forced a smile that looked even worse than crying, while tears streamed down my face.

He muttered to himself, "Losing my memory is good. I can forget all the bad memories!"

How are you feeling?

"I'm fine," he said coldly.

But when he looked up, he saw me crying so sadly.

He was somewhat at a loss.

She quickly reached for the tissues by the bed and handed them to me.

Why are you crying?

"It's okay, I'm so happy you're awake!" My voice trembled slightly with excitement.

"These are tears of joy; I'm happy for you!"

She wiped the tears from her eyes with her hand.

Lin Zhibai was embarrassed and at a loss for what to do.

What are your plans after you wake up?

He thought about it for a moment.

"In my memory, during my university years, there was a girl I liked, but I couldn't see her face clearly."

I want to go back to university, and once I find a girl, I'll travel with her, see the world, and then settle down on the little island I bought!

"Okay! Let's go to the school and take a look! I hope you'll be happy in the future!"

When I heard that, my eyes welled up with tears, and the tears that had just stopped started flowing again. I kept crying.

"You don't have to cry so much, do you?"

Lin Zhibai looked at my tearful appearance.

He touched his forehead helplessly.

However,

When his gaze fell on my face again.
