Chapter 59 Rescue~

I went up to my brother and walked to his side.

She leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Brother, don't worry, I've already arranged for people to rescue you. Just go with them."

As soon as he finished speaking, his brother looked surprised and his lips parted slightly as if he wanted to say something.

My heart tightened, and I quickly reached out my right hand to cover my brother's mouth, afraid that he might accidentally say something he shouldn't.

At the same time, I took a beautiful box out of my pocket with my left hand and said to my brother with a big smile, "Brother, look! This is a gift I bought especially for you."

Then, I gently opened the box and presented the warm and white jade Guanyin to my brother.

Then, I personally picked up the jade Guanyin and gently helped my brother put it around his neck.

As I was helping my brother put it on, I leaned close to his ear again and whispered in a voice only the two of us could hear, "Brother, I don't know if there's a recording device installed here, so you have to believe that everything I'm doing is for your own good."

After listening to me, my brother nodded firmly, indicating that he understood what I meant.

Just then, my brother suddenly spoke up and said to me, "Qianqian, you must be careful out there and take good care of your safety."

I replied, "Okay, brother, I will definitely take good care of myself, don't worry!"

Finally, I opened my arms and hugged my brother tightly, feeling his warm and generous embrace.

After a while, Lin Zhibai escorted me back to my residence.

I called SF Express and delivered the bracelet to Sister Ye.

I also sent her a text message.

Then I received a call from Sister Ye. "Ms. Yao, how could you let Zhou Li gain the upper hand?"

She launched into a tirade against me over the phone.

"Why can't you be so dense? You're just trying to get your hands on some easy prize and then hand it over to someone else."

You're Qin Shisheng's woman, why don't you fight for it? What can I say to you?

I've put so much effort into teaching you, yet you take it all for granted. You've wasted all my hard work!

"Don't ever tell anyone you're my apprentice again, or you'll ruin my reputation..."

Such words poured out of her mouth, giving me no chance to catch my breath.

The image of her face, flushed red with anger, and her eyes filled with disappointment and reproach, involuntarily appeared in my mind.

Without a doubt, she must have looked disappointed and frustrated at that moment.

Faced with her accusations, I could only rack my brains to find various excuses to evade them.

After all, now is not the time to completely confront her...

In fact, I am carefully planning a grand scheme—to find ways to stay away from Qin Shisheng.

The first step in this game was to cleverly use Jin Buwei to test his strength and see if he was capable of successfully rescuing my brother.

With these thoughts in mind, I returned to my room and moved into the second bedroom.

Lying quietly in bed, I repeatedly considered each step of my plan, silently reminding myself that I must keep my distance from Qin Shisheng no matter what.

Night falls and the city lights come on.

Qin Shisheng sat upright in the car, his face ashen.

At this moment, Jiang Zhou respectfully said, "Miss Liu invites you to have dinner together."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shisheng frowned slightly and subconsciously asked, "Where are the others?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, he realized that what he really wanted to ask was whether Yao Qian had invited him to come.

However, Jiang Zhou shook his head helplessly.

Qin Shisheng's face grew increasingly grim, and a nameless anger welled up within him.

But in the end, he suppressed his dissatisfaction and coldly ordered, "Then go to Liu Yu's place!"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Zhou nodded in agreement and started the car, heading towards Liu Yu's location.

Jin Buwei acted very quickly; I saw the news the next morning.

The Qin family manor was engulfed in flames last night...

I was worried about my brother's safety, and I wasn't sure if he had been rescued.

I arrived at the library downstairs with a feeling of trepidation.

This library is usually very quiet and peaceful, as I walked through the door.

My gaze involuntarily turned upwards, and I saw Jin Buwei standing quietly by the railing on the second floor, gazing at me with a smile.

That smile was like warm sunshine, making people feel incredibly comfortable and at ease.

We exchanged a glance, and an unspoken understanding drew us toward a corner of the library.

Before I could react, Jin Buwei reached out and wrapped his arm around my waist.

He leaned down slightly and whispered in my ear, "Is my efficiency satisfactory, Miss Yao?"

Hearing his words, my heart tightened, and I quickly asked, "Is my brother alright?" My voice was full of concern and anxiety.

Jin Buwei smiled slightly and reassured him, "Come to my house tonight, and I'll let you meet your brother."

"I'll be waiting for you in the building next to yours~" His tone revealed an irresistible allure, as if it could steal one's soul.

“Okay! Thank you!” I replied gratefully.

However, before he could finish speaking, a hint of dissatisfaction flashed in Jin Buwei's eyes.

"Is this how you thank me?"

He looked at me with a slightly teasing expression, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.

I hesitated for a moment.

Finally, she mustered her courage, stood on tiptoe, and gently kissed his lips.
