Lin Zhibai slowly walked to the center of the living room and then sat down calmly.
Then, he said coldly, "Those guys who tried to kidnap you have long been dealt with by me and will never dare to bother you again!"
After hearing these words, a warm feeling immediately rose in my heart.
I said in a soft, grateful voice.
"Thank you! Zhibai!"
Lin Zhibai nodded and replied, "Yes! Brother Qin has already taken Zhou Li into custody. Once he's dealt with things on his end, he'll settle accounts with her, and she won't have a chance to cause you any more trouble."
I couldn't help but ask, "Does he know about this? Is he sure it was Zhou Li who did it?"
Lin Zhibai nodded affirmatively.
“Zhou Li is Brother Qin’s woman. It’s not convenient for me to take action right now. It would be better to let Brother Qin handle it personally.”
I was furious. Zhou Li sent those people to capture me; it was obvious they were after my life. They didn't intend to leave me any way out!
"How will he deal with Zhou Li?" The thought that he would leave Zhou Li a way out only adds to my troubles.
But he added firmly, "What is certain is that anyone who crosses his bottom line usually doesn't fare well. That's why I'm warning you not to easily challenge his bottom line."
He paused for a moment, then continued, "None of those who dared to assassinate him have survived to this day. Only your brother has been spared."
I couldn't help but purse my lips and replied irritably, "Am I supposed to thank him for this?"
