I struggled to get away from him.
He wrapped one arm tightly around my waist, holding me firmly in his palm.
He leaned close to my ear and whispered, "Don't you understand your situation? The only thing that will happen to you if you go against me is death!"
I was furious and bit his shoulder hard.
He immediately turned around, pressed down on my shoulder, and lifted my chin with his other hand.
"Bite me?"
"Kill me! I don't want to be with you!"
He gripped my chin tightly, as if he wanted to crush it, a sinister smile playing on his lips.
"You're not afraid of death? Fine, but what about your brother? Do you really want me to set him up and get him addicted to gambling or drugs, forcing him to incur huge debts, making you harassed by debt collectors every day, and forcing you to come begging me for help?"
I stared at him in shock. "Don't you have any morals?"
"The means don't matter as long as the goal is achieved!"
As he spoke, he pulled out a card from the bedside table and handed it to me.
“Here’s eight million! If it’s not enough, just ask me for more. I can even give you a whole building to live in, with the deed in your name. You won’t have to live in that tiny 60-square-meter apartment anymore! And you won’t have to work so hard to get an internship. I can give you a government job, so you’ll get paid whether you go to work or not!”
"Of course, all I ask is that you behave and stay by my side! Don't have any contact with any members of the opposite sex." In his mind, there are no people who can't be negotiated, unless the offer isn't enough.
A wave of fear washed over me, but I quickly fell into deep thought. After a moment, I said, "I don't want your money... Don't touch my brother!"
His tone carried a hint of pleading.
Seeing that my gaze and tone had softened.
He smiled contentedly and gently stroked my fair and radiant face.
Don't worry! I love you very much right now! I can't bear to see you sad!
