At 6 p.m., Li Jia returned to the store and noticed something was wrong.
There was no sign of a struggle inside the shop. Li Jia darted to the second-floor door, when her phone suddenly rang. Startled, Li Jia kicked open the second-floor security door with a thud, and it crashed to the ground. She then dashed into the room. Meng Yao's room door was open, but Meng Yao was nowhere to be seen.
At this moment, Zhou Xiaoyu ran out of the study and said anxiously to Li Jia, "Brother Li, Sister Meng Yao has been kidnapped!"
"What happened? Tell me slowly, don't rush." Li Jia grabbed Zhou Xiaoyu's shoulder and took out her phone to check. It turned out to be a call from the store. Apparently, Zhou Xiaoyu had wanted to call her earlier, but she was startled and burst in. Zhou Xiaoyu naturally didn't continue making the call.
