Invited by Yan Ruyu to the party, I saw Mr. Shabi, a senior member of the Shu Family Dry Cleaning headquarters, again. We greeted each other upon meeting.
"Li, I didn't expect we'd meet again so soon. Let me introduce you. This is Ms. Ruhua, and Ruhua, this is Li. We've met once before." Shabi was still very enthusiastic, standing between the two and introducing them to each other.
"Ruhua? Hehe, Ruyu, when did you change your name?" After Li Jia finished speaking, Yan Ruyu was already standing next to Li Jia with a wine glass in hand. "This silly gentleman gave me this name. He said I'm very beautiful, and Ruhua would be more fitting. This silly gentleman's Chinese is not bad!" Yan Ruyu suppressed her laughter. The silly man's stiff Chinese pronunciation when he introduced himself just now almost made her burst out laughing. The silly man's Chinese pronunciation was really annoying.
"You two know each other?" Mr. Shabi asked with a hint of doubt, watching Li Jia and Yan Ruyu's conversation.
"Well, this is my good friend, Yan Ruyu. It's better to call her Ruyu. You should give the name Ruhua to another woman. Come on, ladies, I'd like to invite you two to sit over there. Do you mind?" Li Jia's last words were directed at Shabi. With Shabi looking somewhat annoyed, Li Jia led Tina and Yan Ruyu to a rest area and sat down on the sofa. They were chatting animatedly for a short while. Meanwhile, Shabi was already seething with rage.
He had specifically requested Tina as the deputy team leader because he wanted to use this nominal review, which was actually a trip, to seduce her into his life. Unfortunately, his beautiful colleague didn't buy it at all, so he had no choice but to go to various bars and clubs to find his prey. He got the party invitation from a woman he had slept with.
When he arrived, he spotted Yan Ruyu. Her alluring attire and noble demeanor immediately captivated him. Just when he thought he was about to succeed, Li Jia reappeared. Including the incident with Hai Mingyue, Li Feng had ruined his plans twice. A seed of revenge slowly sprouted in Sha Bi's heart. After memorizing Li Jia's face, he steadied himself, stood up, and left the party. "This place is really not my lucky spot. It's best to leave as soon as possible."
Watching Shabi leave, Li Jia changed his demeanor and stood up between the two beauties. "Alright, I've done what you two asked me to do. Now, I have to go. I have things to do tomorrow, so I can't continue enjoying the party. You two continue." With that, Li Jia turned and left.
The two women were clearly surprised by Li Jia's words. "When did I ask him to do that?" But then they realized they had indeed had that thought at the time, and so they watched Li Jia's retreating figure as they raised their glasses. The two women then sat together and continued chatting. Yan Ruyu and Tina were the kind of people who, even after Li Jia left, would still have many men present, so the party was still worth enjoying.
Li Jia left the party not just because he had something to do the next day, but because his phone was vibrating. Since he was at the party, he had naturally put his phone on vibrate. It had vibrated three times in just a short time, so Li Jia made an excuse to leave. At the door, he took out his still-vibrating phone and answered, "What is it? Is there news? Okay, I don't have a taxi here, can someone pick me up? Okay. That's all, we'll talk when we meet."
After hanging up the phone, Li Jia patiently waited for the car to arrive. It seemed that not driving was not a good decision. Although the car might be quite shabby when it arrived, it wouldn't leave her standing on the street in the evening breeze.
About half an hour later, a black Volkswagen SUV pulled up in front of Li Jia. Cang Lang got out, opened the car door for Li Jia, and then the car started and drove away.
“Mr. Li, that person is called Shabi. He is a senior employee of the Italian Shujia Dry Cleaning Chain International. He came here under the guise of a business trip to travel.
