In an instant, Xiao Liu, Xiao Si, Xiao San, and Li Jia disappeared from the hall, rushing off in four different directions from the villa, with the occasional faint sound of snipers monitoring the surrounding area.
The villa had no walls, only a low, symbolic railing. Around the villa were many green plants, all neatly trimmed in various shapes. Li Jia went up alone towards the people coming from the southeast, while Xiao San and Xiao Liu went up together towards the people coming from the northwest.
"Miller, turn off the power, leave only the decorative lights around the villa on," Li Jia said calmly into her earpiece, watching the dark figure rapidly approaching in the distance.
Miller didn't answer, but the next second all the lights in the villa went out, plunging the entire villa into darkness. The shadowy figure that was moving forward hesitated when it saw the villa suddenly turn off its lights, but still made a few hand gestures. The two groups of people immediately dispersed and continued to surround the villa in a fan shape.
Li Jia smiled inwardly as she watched the nine people disperse. "These scoundrels, so self-righteous." Then she gave the order through her earpiece, "Split up, free hunt, try not to fire, move out!" After Li Jia finished speaking, Xiao Liu and Xiao San quickly separated and disappeared into the green belt around the villa, silently heading towards the newcomers.
"Hehe, be clean, I'll treat you all to roast duck later." Li Jia's voice came through the earpiece to everyone's ears. Everyone chuckled to themselves. They really didn't have much interest in these insignificant assassins. So, their innate tacit understanding led them to choose a common action: immediately retreat and move towards the villa. At this moment, only Li Jia was left facing the nine assassins.
Xiao San and Xiao Liu returned to the villa, staring at the dark night sky outside. There wasn't a sound in their earphones. They exchanged a glance and temporarily turned them off. "Third Brother, do you think we need to be so tense? Do we really need to send out a few assassins who haven't even fully developed?" Xiao Liu's words carried a hint of complaint.
It's really not worth sending them to deal with the hyena's assassins. But Xiao Liu didn't know that the hyenas were only acting as eyes and ears and cannon fodder this time. They were well-informed and naturally knew that Jiang Songbai was not just an ordinary business owner. They had also taken Ou Boshi's comings and goings into their sights. As for whether they could find out Ou Boshi's identity, that was unclear.
"This is the leader's order. Don't ask any more questions. Let's wait and see. Our mission is to ensure Mr. Jiang Songbai's safety. Li Jia will handle the rest." After saying this, Xiao San put her earphones back on, but there was still no sound in the earphones, not even a breath.
"What is he doing?" The same question mark flashed in both of their eyes, and there was no sound from Li Jia in their earphones.
"Third Brother, it seems that Li Jia's communication with us has been cut off." The sniper's voice came through the earpiece, and Li Jia had suddenly disappeared from behind his sniper scope.
Just as the group was wondering where Li Feng had gone, a slight noise suddenly came through the earphones. If you listened carefully, you'd hear the sound of a neck being snapped. After the slight noise, the earphones fell silent again.
Li Jia didn't turn off his headphones. The feeling he hadn't had in a long time allowed him to quickly regain that sense of peace. He moved swiftly towards his first target, like a cat leaping and a snake slithering under the cover of the greenery.
Just after the target passed his hiding place, Li Jia followed him like a ghost, her steps and breathing rhythm perfectly mirroring the person in front of her. After a few steps, they arrived at a clump of rounded green plants. Li Jia's hands shot out like lightning, one hand covering the target's mouth, the other gripping the back of the target's neck. With a sudden burst of strength, the target's neck snapped with a soft crack.
Gently placing the target's body in the bushes, Li Jia vanished once again into the sparse foliage. Five seconds later, Li Jia's ghostly figure approached the next target. This attack was equally silent; she grabbed the target's throat with one hand, then squeezed hard, snapping the trachea. She then pressed a button near the target's ear, rendering the unfortunate man unconscious before he collapsed into the nearby bushes.
When Li Jia knocked out the sixth person, the newcomer finally realized something was wrong. One by one, the people around him inexplicably disappeared, which frightened the last three people. They clenched their silencers tightly and even temporarily forgot about their mission.
The most terrifying enemy is the one you can't see. In less than a minute, six of the nine people who came were gone. The guys who had reached the villa and were about to enter suddenly chose to retreat. This made Xiao San and Xiao Liu, who were prepared inside, feel a little frustrated after hearing the sniper's prompt in their earpieces. Just as they were about to attack, they heard a crisp sound of someone falling to the ground in their earpieces. When the two rushed out, the last three people were already lying on the ground, unconscious.
"Miller, turn on the lights. The game is over for today." Li Jia's voice finally came through the earpiece. After the villa was lit again, Li Jia looked at Xiao San and Xiao Liu standing in front of the door and asked, "Wouldn't you two consider this slacking off?"
"Uh...! Please punish me, Brother Jia!" Xiao San and Xiao Liu looked at each other in surprise, then stood up straight and said in unison.
"Alright, I was just kidding. These small fry are no match for a third-rate bodyguard like me. Hehe, let's make a call and deal with them. There were nine of them. I accidentally killed one, but the rest are still alive. I'll go upstairs and check on Mr. Jiang... uh... I guess Mr. Ou should have a private talk with you two, right?" Li Jia looked at Xiao San and Xiao Liu, nodded and smiled at them after speaking, then turned and went upstairs, casually taking off his earphones and throwing them on the coffee table in the lobby.
