"Dragon King? The Dragon King of Dragon Dance?" A famous organization flashed through Li Jia's mind: the Dragon Dance Club, one of the largest Chinese gangs in Italy, whose leader was called the Dragon King.
"I knew you weren't a teacher. How many teachers would know about the Dragon Dance Club? Li Jia, what exactly do you do?" Emily looked at Li Jia, holding a revolver that had been replaced with blanks by someone.
"I'm just an amateur bodyguard. I came here to join the fun, but I never expected something like this to happen." Li Jia said, taking out her phone, looking at the screen, and then shaking her head. "Looks like we're in big trouble." She then put her phone back in her pocket.
"What's wrong?" Emily asked, taking out her phone as well. She hadn't been able to contact the people at the Florence headquarters while she was in the house, and when she picked up her phone, she realized that it had no signal.
“Electronic interference? No need to look anymore. This hotel is probably electronically blocked now. There’s only one way out: go back to the ball. Only there can we find a chance to break out.” Li Jia strode to the door, glanced at the situation outside, and then pulled Emily into the elevator.
A dozen trucks and several black vans were parked outside the hotel, which was completely surrounded. Even more alarming, the hotel was surrounded by hundreds of men in colorful uniforms, armed with AK-47s. By the time Li Jia checked, the encirclement was complete, and four squads were ready to approach the hotel. When Li Jia and Emily arrived at the ballroom on the rooftop, the people downstairs had already entered the hotel. Clearly, this friendship exchange meeting between students from three countries was not as simple as it seemed. It was highly likely that these outstanding students and teachers from different countries were in grave danger.
Upon arriving at the ball, Li Jia pulled Emily to a secluded corner and sat down on a chair. She looked around, searching for Angel. "Master, are you looking for me?" Under the flashing lights, Angel, dressed in white and holding two wine glasses, appeared before Li Jia.
"Hehe, we're in trouble. You'd better be prepared." Li Jia took the wine glass Angel handed him, took a sip, and said to Angel with a smile.
“I know, the ghosts have sold us all out. Heh, they’re probably already in the elevator. Master, are you going to make a move this time?” Angel looked at Li Jia, without a trace of worry on her face.
“What do you think? This is Emily, a new friend of mine. This is Angel, my student.” Li Jia introduced Angel and Emily to each other. Then she stood up. “Let’s go find a place to prepare. We might be facing a dozen heavily armed AK-47s soon. I don’t want to go head-to-head with blanks again.” After saying that, Li Jia walked out of the ballroom.
The top floor of the hotel houses several enormous banquet halls, and the one currently hosting the ball is the largest on the south side of the top floor. It has three elevators and two staircases connecting it to the rest of the hotel. The elevators are directly opposite the main entrance to the banquet hall, while the staircases are located on either side. Li Jia glanced at her watch and then said to the two people who followed her out, "You're here!"
As soon as Li Jia finished speaking, eighteen burly thugs armed with AK-47s emerged from the three elevators. Their arrogant figures entered the ballroom and immediately fired a volley of shots into the air. The deafening sound caused screams to erupt throughout the ballroom, with some even shouting that they were terrorists.
"Lights on! Very good! We've arrived at Kawa Island. Now I declare the ball over! Everyone put down what you're holding, line up in rows of ten, and then obediently follow us out. Remember! Men and women must separate, and teachers and students must also separate, understand? Very good! Let's begin. You have five minutes!" The only man among the eighteen people wearing sunglasses stood at the ball and spoke loudly in English, his hand occasionally sweeping over the terrified crowd.
Before the thugs entered the ball, Li Jia, Emily, and Angel circled around to the south staircase and walked down the stairs, floor by floor. When they reached the seventh floor, they heard footsteps in the stairwell. "Four people, 48 AKs, little girl, how long?"
Li Jia looked at her apprentice, then glanced at her watch, and asked.
"Two seconds, Master. Those two on the right are yours. They're too ugly! I don't like them!" After Angel finished speaking, Li Jia nodded lightly and waited for the enemy to appear in the stairwell.
The four men had just finished searching the sixth floor and were now heading up to the seventh floor to continue their work. They were carrying A47 and walking step by step toward the stairwell.
"Here they come!" Angel blinked at Li Jia, and her white figure flashed out as the two figures stepped into the stairwell one after the other. Her two small white hands transformed into the scythe of death, slicing into the necks of the two first people to appear almost simultaneously. The clear sound of bones breaking echoed in the not-so-small space.
Emily's eyes widened in shock at Angel's actions. This girl, who was about the same age as her, possessed such terrifying strength!
The two people behind were Li Jia's enemies. Angel's actions made it much more difficult for Li Jia to deal with them. Just as the two men were about to raise their AK-47s after their comrade fell, a black figure appeared in front of them like a ghost, locking their necks with both hands. The next moment, the two men saw their backs.
