The next morning, Li Jia got up early, washed up, took the car keys from Meng Yao, and drove Xiao Yue and Xiao Long to Tianfu Garden.
"I wonder what kind of expressions your older sister and brother will have when they see you?" On a whim, Li Jia also thought of giving her younger brother and sister a surprise.
"I hope my older brother and sister will like me." Xiaoyue looked a little nervous. After hearing her words, Li Jia walked over and put his arm around her shoulder. "Come on, they will definitely like you as much as your older brother does. Don't worry." After saying that, he put his arm around Xiaoyue and walked into the stairwell.
On the sixth floor, standing in front of Xiaoqing's room, Li Jia looked at Xiaoyue, who was taking deep breaths, and smiled as she patted Xiaoyue's hair. "Don't be so nervous. We're having a sibling reunion, not going on a blind date or anything, haha." Her joke eased Xiaoyue's tension, and she reached out and gently knocked on the door.
"Who is it? We're coming, just a moment." A soft female voice came from inside. "It's your sister Xiaoqing." Li Jia immediately explained to Xiaoyue after hearing the voice.
"Big brother? It's you? You're really back? Could it be? Is this your little sister?" As soon as Li Xiaoqing opened the door, she saw Li Feng with a smile on his face, and a pretty girl standing at the door looking at her. When she saw the little girl, Li Xiaoqing couldn't help but be filled with great joy. She looked at Ai Xiaoyue standing in front of the door and asked excitedly.
"Hehe, that's right, she is our youngest sister, Xiaoyue! Now she takes her adoptive father's surname and is called Ai Xiaoyue. Xiaoyue, this is your eldest sister, Li Xiaoqing, the eldest of the three sisters." Li Jia nodded slightly when she saw Li Xiaoqing's excited expression, confirming Li Xiaoqing's guess, and then introduced the two of them again with a smile.
"It really is my little sister!! Haha! Little sister, you're finally back! I've missed you so much! Waaah!!" After receiving confirmation, Li Xiaoqing couldn't help but hug Ai Xiaoyue tightly. She was so excited that she couldn't hold back her tears. After so many years of waiting, she finally saw her today! This immense joy even made Li Xiaoqing forget to invite everyone into the house. It wasn't until the two of them had hugged and cried their hearts out that Li Jia finally spoke up.
"Alright, it's a good thing that the sisters are reunited, stop crying. Xiaoqing, just let us stand at the door and talk to you, okay?" Li Jia's words reminded Li Xiaoqing, who was still immersed in joy. She quickly let go of Ai Xiaoyue, whom she was hugging. "Come in quickly. Xiaoyan, come out and see who's here!"
Li Xiaoqing excitedly ushered Li Jia and the others into the house. Li Yan, who was still in the bedroom, heard Li Xiaoqing's call, slowly dressed, and came out of the room. When he opened the door and saw Li Jia, his eyes were blurry. He rubbed his eyes hard, and after confirming Li Jia's identity, he saw a little girl next to her. The girl looked about his age, but why did this little girl give him such a familiar feeling?
"We've never met before, have we? Why do I feel like you're so...so...familiar...no, more like intimate...no, that's not quite right either..." For a moment, Li Yan couldn't think of a suitable word to describe it.
"She's our little sister, Xiaoyue, who was adopted when she was little!" Li Xiaoqing hurriedly explained before Li Jia could speak.
"Little...Little Yue...Big Brother. You really found her?!" Li Yan seemed to wake up from a dream, his eyes wide open, his handsome and sunny face filled with shock and disbelief!
"Brother, it's me, Xiaoyue." Ai Xiaoyue's address filled Li Yan with happiness. His little sister was calling him brother. He kept calling her "brother" for at least five minutes before he could calm down.
"Xiaoyue, where have you been all these years? How have you been? Has anyone bullied you?" Li Yan was very fond of this little sister he was meeting for the first time. His reaction surprised Li Jia, who thought Li Yan's personality was not like this.
"I grew up in Florence, Italy..." Xiaoyue and Li Yan got along surprisingly well. They sat down at the study table and chatted back and forth, while Li Jia, Xiaolong, and Li Xiaoqing seemed to have become insignificant figures.
"Hehe. Yes, after searching for so long, we're finally reunited as siblings. By the way, Xiaotong might be home this afternoon. We're going to have a good meal tonight, just at home. We're not going anywhere else. Let Xiaoyue stay here tonight so you sisters can have a good chat." Li Jia turned to look at Li Xiaoqing, whose face was beaming with joy, and said with a soft laugh.
"Okay, I'll go out and prepare the dishes. You guys rest here for a while, big brother." After saying that, Li Xiaoqing turned around, went into the bedroom, put on her coat, and then pushed open the door and went out.
For a moment, only Li Jia and Xiao Long were left in the room, unsure of what to do. "Hey, I'm going out for a bit. You can continue your task here!" Li Jia thought for a moment, turned around and said to Xiao Long. Then, without waiting for Xiao Long's reply, she opened the door and went out. She then stood in front of Jiang Ling'er's door across the street, hesitated for a moment, and decided not to knock.
"Let's go for a walk." Li Jia said to herself and went downstairs. After leaving the building, she wandered around the somewhat old but still beautiful neighborhood.
In the afternoon, Xiao Tong rushed back to City B. The first thing he did upon arriving home was to hug Xiao Yue and shake her vigorously for a while before letting go of her and saying in a nonchalant tone, "You little brat, your big brother finally found you! How was it? Has anyone ever bullied you since you were little? Tell your sister, and I'll stand up for you!"
