"People from China are coming the day after tomorrow. Once we reach an agreement with them, that old fat pig Kaman will have a channel to get his goods into the country, and our profits will multiply several times over! At that time, even without the business under the Dragon Dance Gang, it will be enough for the three of us brothers to squander as we please!" The Second Elder Yang Qinghai's next words brought another smile to the First Elder Yu Xianming's face. He lit a pipe and took a deep drag. "Hmm, I hope things go smoothly!"
"Brother, don't worry. I've already prepared two emergency plans to deal with any unforeseen events. Time is passing, and we can't just wait here any longer. Florence is our Dragon Dance Society's territory, so finding a few people shouldn't be difficult. So, I think we should send someone out to investigate and then inform that fat pig..." After listening to Yang Qinghai's words, the Grand Elder pondered for a moment, then nodded. "Go ahead and do it. Be quick about it. I don't want to hear any negative news about the Dragon Dance Society before things are settled."
"Don't worry, brother! Leave it to me!" Yang Qinghai said, then got up, pushed open the door, and left the council hall.
On the other side, the underlings, having received their orders, hurriedly left the manor with a dozen or so brothers, driving straight to a hospital on the outskirts of Florence. They were completely unaware that a lithe figure was following them closely, leaping and running like a ghost through the night.
When the army stopped, the hospital that appeared in front of them was not large but very famous. More importantly, this hospital was no more than a kilometer away from the small hotel where Li Jia and the others were staying.
"Be quick, you guys wait downstairs, the rest of you come up with me." After saying that, Dajun took the lead and strode into the hospital. Seven or eight people rushed straight to the VIP ward on the fourth floor. There was only one bed in the ward, and the person lying on the bed was Uncle Liang, whom Li Jia and the other two were looking for.
"Carry the Fifth Elder away." At Da Jun's command, two henchmen walked over. One helped Liang Bo up, while the other carried Liang Bo on his back, regardless of whether Liang Bo was awake or not, and headed outside.
"What are you doing?" Uncle Liang had already woken up when he was helped up. In fact, his injuries had almost healed by now. However, Uncle Liang had inadvertently learned about some of the things happening at the Dragon Dance Association, and since he had been under surveillance since being hospitalized, he simply pretended to be sick and couldn't get up.
Now a few thugs barged into his ward and, without saying a word, picked him up and started to walk him out. If he didn't speak up at this moment, he probably wouldn't know where these guys would take him!
"Fifth Master, the eldest master instructed that the environment here is no longer suitable for your recuperation, so he specifically sent me to bring you to the villa to recuperate. There are the best private doctors there, and you won't have to smell the disinfectant in the hospital every day." Dajun explained, then waved his hand to signal the underling carrying Uncle Liang to hurry up and leave.
"What are you doing? The patient can't do strenuous exercise! What you're doing is murder! Murder! Don't you know that? Put the patient down immediately, I need to perform a routine examination!" Just then, the door suddenly opened and a doctor walked in. He was wearing a mask, as if he had just come off the operating table, with only his eyes showing, so his true face was obscured.
“I said put my patient down! If you don’t, I’ll call the police! Peace Hospital isn’t a place where just anyone can run wild!” The doctor’s fluent local accent left Da Jun and the others with no reason to doubt him. They looked at the tall, thin doctor. Da Jun nodded. “Put Fifth Master down first.”
After listening to Dajun's words, the younger brother put Uncle Liang back on the hospital bed and then focused all his attention on the doctor. "Please leave! My patient doesn't welcome you disturbing him so late!" The doctor looked at Dajun and the others and sternly gave them the order to leave, staring at Dajun without backing down, because the doctor could tell that Dajun was the leader of this group.
"Let's go out first, doctor. We need to pick up Fifth Master by dawn at the latest. Everything is ready over there. Before that, I hope you can give him a thorough examination..." Dajun said, staring into the doctor's eyes, before turning and leaving the ward, gently closing the door behind him.
"Brother Dajun, what should we do?" The younger brother who had been carrying Uncle Liang earlier asked as he approached.
"Wait! We must get Fifth Master out of here before dawn. We'll wait here and see what tricks he can pull! If all else fails, we'll have to resort to force!" Dajun looked back at the tightly closed door of the ward and whispered to his henchmen.
"Okay!" After everyone answered, they dispersed in front of the ward door, anxiously waiting for the doctor to come out.
Five minutes passed, and the room remained completely silent.
Ten minutes…
Fifteen minutes…
"Damn it! What the hell is going on! Let's go in!" Dajun finally couldn't wait any longer, muttered a curse under his breath, and pushed open the door.
"Damn it! Where are they? Where did they go?!" The ward was already empty. When Dajun and the others entered the ward and found that even the doctor and Uncle Liang were gone, they were immediately enraged and overturned the table next to them. "Find them! We can't let them get away!"
"Brother Dajun, it looks like they went down from here!" a younger brother suddenly shouted from the small balcony of the ward. Dajun quickly ran to the balcony. "What happened?"
