"Little Scorpion!" Angel finally understood the true meaning of the smile in Scorpion's eyes. She screamed and pounced on Scorpion, snatching him from Li Jia's arms. She kept calling Scorpion's name, and finally carried him carefully back to the hotel on her back.
Back at the hotel, ignoring the strange looks from the hotel staff, Angel placed the scorpion on the bed. At that moment, Li Jia also rushed back, carrying a large pile of medicines and tools, wearing a white coat. "Where is my patient?"
As soon as she entered, Li Jia anxiously asked, "A man and a woman, the man has a cut on his back from a piece of metal, which room are they in?"
Li Jia's words relieved the hotel staff, who quickly told her about Angel's room. Li Jia thanked them repeatedly and walked into the elevator. Once inside, her anxious expression from outside was gone, and she stared blankly at the rising numbers on the elevator.
"We have all the medicine, tools, tourniquets, and sutures. Shall we do it ourselves or should we?" Li Jia asked Angel as soon as she entered the room, placing a large medicine box she was carrying beside the bed.
“I’ll do it. I want to treat the little scorpion’s wounds myself.” Angel immediately took over, skillfully searching for suitable tools in the box and beginning to clean the wounds on the scorpion’s back.
Watching from the side, Li Jia revealed a faint smile. "So many years have passed, perhaps this time will be a turning point." With that thought, Li Jia went into the bathroom, took off the white coat she had borrowed, and removed the blood that had congealed on the clothes underneath. She skillfully took out the dagger at her waist, gently cut the clothes stuck to her body, and then cleaned them off, leaving a long, narrow wound about thirty centimeters long on Li Jia's chest.
The wound was deep. It ran diagonally from the left chest to the right side of the navel, appearing quite gruesome on Li Jia's smooth muscles.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Li Jia picked up the hydrogen peroxide disinfectant that was placed aside and slowly cleaned the wound.
The strong bactericidal effect of hydrogen peroxide also brought unbearable pain. Li Jia's eyes were fixed on the white foam rising from her wound. Her face twitched constantly from the pain, but a faint smile remained on her twitching face.
After cleaning the wound, Li Jia picked up the suture needles and thread from the first-aid kit, watching the sterilized silver needles pierce her skin. Then she stitched the two sides of the exposed muscle back together. This process took more than half an hour. After the stitches were finished, Li Feng applied some anti-inflammatory medicine that had been ground into powder at the clinic, and then bandaged it up. Only after finishing these procedures did Li Feng realize that he looked somewhat like a half-finished mummy in the mirror. The waves of pain in his chest made Li Jia realize that he was not a mummy, but a living person. It had been a long time since Li Jia had felt this way.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Li Jia took a few deep breaths! Then she wrapped a bath towel around herself and walked out of the bathroom. Since they weren't here on vacation, neither Li Jia nor Scorpion had a second set of clothes to change into, so they had to make do with the bath towels for now and figure out how to buy a couple of sets later.
Inside the room, Angel had finished treating the scorpion's wounds, and the scorpion had woken up. The two sat there staring at each other. "Why did you do this?"
Angel's voice trembled with a sob. Scorpion simply looked at Angel's face, a relieved smile on her lips, and said, "I don't want you to get hurt...anytime..."
These two short sentences revealed all of Scorpion's feelings for Angel. It was through this that Angel realized for the first time, "There's a man who has always been devoted to me; this kind of happiness must be what I've been searching for!"
Seeing Scorpion and Angel embracing, Master Li Jia coughed lightly, quite inappropriately, "Hey little girl, if you two are going to be all lovey-dovey again, hurry up and buy a couple of outfits. We can't just go out like this. I think someone will find us here soon."
“Okay! I’ll go right away!” Angel didn’t seem embarrassed at all. Scorpion, however, smiled shyly at his master and then told Angel, “Be careful. Just buy whatever’s available nearby.”
"Okay, you two wait here, I'll be right back." Angel said and left the room. Less than ten minutes later, she returned carrying two sets of denim outfits and a few T-shirts. "So fast?"
“There’s a denim store right next to the hotel, of course it’ll be quick!” Angel laughed, then handed the clothes to the two of them. “There’s no time to buy decent underwear, so just make do with T-shirts and shorts!”
After Angel finished speaking, she came to the bedside, helped Scorpion up, and prepared to change his clothes.
"I can do it myself." Scorpion saw Angel's movements and quickly picked up his clothes to put them on. "Alright! How old are you? Still being shy, really." After saying that, Angel ripped off Scorpion's pants and stared at Scorpion's buttocks, unable to help but be surprised. "I didn't expect your buttocks to be so sexy!" After saying that, she reached out and grabbed it.
Scorpion's body stiffened at Angel's actions, but she dared not resist and could only let Angel strip her naked. Then, amidst a barrage of comments, she slowly put on the new clothes she had bought.
"You two leave Rome immediately. Don't go back to Florence yet. Find a place to recover from your injuries, and then come back to Florence to meet me. I'll finish up the rest of the business here!" Li Jia looked surprisingly handsome in his denim outfit, which fit perfectly, showing that Angel knew her master very well.
