The television program was showing a murder case, or more precisely, an assassination. The assassin's target was a wealthy man in New York. The wealthy man was unharmed in the attack, but his bodyguard was shot more than a dozen times and died. The bodyguard's face, Hai Fei, was clearly visible on the screen, his eyes wide open in death. Hai Fei was dead. Although Hai Mingyue's older brother died on his own battlefield, the expression in his eyes puzzled Li Jia.

Hai Mingyue was startled and looked at Li Jia with her phone in hand. "Don't be afraid, answer it, put it on speakerphone," Li Jia said softly from the side. Hai Mingyue nodded, then placed the phone between the two of them, pressed answer, and then pressed speakerphone.
"Very good, very obedient! You didn't call the police, that's commendable. I'm sure your boyfriend is with you right now, don't worry about how I know. I'm calling today to inform you that you have three days to pay the five million US dollars in four installments. Don't blame me for not warning you, if you don't pay it in three days, I'll give you a big surprise!" The call ended there. No location for the payment was specified, only the timeframe.

Li Jia smiled at Hai Mingyue after saying this, then took out her phone and gestured for Hai Mingyue to make a call and inquire.
