Li Jia was standing in a room at another hotel, about 300 meters away from this hotel. On the spacious balcony, Li Jia held a glass of red wine and stared in the direction from which the explosion had come. The rolling flames even illuminated Li Feng's smiling face.
Li Feng took a small sip of the exquisite wine, picked up his phone, and expertly dialed Angel's number. "Is Mingyue by your side?"
A moment later, Hai Mingyue's voice came through the phone, "Jia, are you alright?"
"Hehe, I'm fine, everything's taken care of. But Horton Charles can't be taken to Florence, that bastard was blown to bits by me." Li Jia felt a surge of relief upon hearing Hai Mingyue's voice and replied with a soft laugh.
"By the way, Jia, go to where my dad lives and tell the shop owner not to tell him about my older brother. I'm afraid he won't be able to handle the shock." Hai Mingyue's voice trailed off at the end, and the worry and anxiety in her tone clearly reached Li Jia's ears.
"Okay, don't worry, I'll handle it. Also, I'm going to Florence the day after tomorrow, and I'll go back to China with you then. If possible, try to bring your father back to China to live as well. After all, China is his root. He's so old; he should return to his roots and enjoy his retirement." Li Jia agreed to Hai Mingyue's request, but then she thought of Hai Mingyue's father. This somewhat eccentric old man had left Li Jia with a very vague impression. Li Jia didn't know why he was avoiding his children and even constantly changing his residence. She wondered if there was some other reason behind it.
The next morning, Li Jia arrived in Chinatown and found where Hai Mingyue's father lived. She smiled and explained the situation to the shop owner. After settling things, she left New York, boarded a plane to Florence, and flew halfway around the world to reach Florence.
At the entrance of the Dragon Dance Manor, Li Jia got out of the car, looked at the manor she always cared about, and walked in with a smile. The guards at the gate already recognized Li Jia, so she arrived at the villa without much explanation.
"Master! You're here!" In the villa's hall, Angel's eyes were sharp, and she immediately spotted Li Jia's smiling face. She excitedly stood up and ran to Li Jia's side.
"Well, where's Mingyue? I have something I want to talk to her about." Upon arriving in Florence, Li Jia's first thought was naturally to see his woman. He wondered if Hai Mingyue, after everything she had been through, could handle it mentally.
“Xiaoyue and I get along very well.” Angel noticed the worry that Li Jia inadvertently showed between her brows and immediately replied softly.
Li Jia nodded, then walked towards Xiaoyue's room and gently knocked on the door. "Wait a minute!"
A crisp sound came from inside, and a moment later the door opened. Xiaoyue saw her older brother standing outside. Overjoyed, she leaped into Li Feng's arms, crying, "Big brother! You're finally here! Xiaoyue missed you so much!"
"Hehe, little Yue, school's starting soon, right? I'll have Angel go to school with you then." Li Jia put down Yue in her arms after saying that, and nodded to Hai Mingyue, whose face was a little pale. "Yue'er, I have something I want to tell you."
"Okay. Xiaoyue, I'm going out for a bit. You play by yourself for now, and I'll teach you other things later." Hai Mingyue nodded, then said goodbye to Xiaoyue. Xiaoyue obediently nodded and went into the room. Li Jia and Hai Mingyue went downstairs and then left the villa.
"Jia, do you want to ask me about my father?" Hai Mingyue had a very deep understanding of Li Jia. She had already anticipated that Li Jia would come to her to ask questions when she sent Li Jia to Chinatown, after all, the family's current situation was too strange.
"Hehe, I knew you'd know what I was thinking. Now that our relationship is like this, I think I need to find out more about your father. After all, he'll be my father-in-law sooner or later, and this strange situation is really baffling me." Li Jia smiled and walked slowly on the lawn of the manor. Her words brightened Hai Mingyue's face considerably.
Li Jia asked this question naturally because he had already regarded Hai Mingyue as the woman he had chosen. This feeling of loving care and protection made Hai Mingyue's heart slightly warm. She quickened her pace to catch up with Li Jia. "Jia, Dad's situation is complicated, but it is actually very simple in summary."
Li Jia stopped in her tracks, then looked at Hai Mingyue with a smile, waiting for her to continue.
After wandering around the manor for a while, Li Jia finally understood why Hai Mingyue's father had become like that. With that information in mind, Li Jia and Hai Mingyue returned to the villa.
"Xiaoyue, we're going back to China tomorrow. Your older brother has already arranged things for your schooling. You must study hard and become knowledgeable and cultured so that you won't be left behind by society in the future." During dinner, Hai Mingyue continued her encouraging words at the table, and Xiaoyue nodded frequently, agreeing with Hai Mingyue's words.
After the meal, Li Jia met with the First Elder Ma Bin and the Third Elder Liang Bo. The three of them sat in the council hall and chatted. "Elders, I would like to ask you to take better care of the Dragon Dance Festival. After all, Xiao Yue is still young and needs to go to school. I think it is not appropriate for her to participate in many things."
Li Jia took the initiative to start the conversation, and Elder Ma Bin, with a smile on his face, loudly took over, "Don't worry, there are a few of us old guys with the Dragon Dance Association, Miss doesn't need to worry. The Dragon Dance Association has stabilized now, and business in all branches is very good. Miss, just let her rest assured!"
