Chapter 248 Faster Than Your Movements

As night fell once again, Li Jia left the villa alone. The Dragon Dance Club's intelligence system was still insufficient for his needs, so he had no choice but to use his own channels.

Standing by the Arno River, Li Jia took out her phone, dialed a number, and asked softly, "How's it going?" For the next five minutes, Li Jia listened attentively until she finally hung up.

The phone rang again as soon as she hung up. It was an unfamiliar number, but a local one. Li Jia thought for a moment and answered, "Who is this?"

"Is this Li Jia? This is Bai Zirou... I want... I want to see you. Can you spare a little time now?" The voice on the phone surprised Li Jia somewhat. Bai Zirou had been busy with her own things, and she didn't know why she would suddenly call Li Jia at this time.

“Okay, no problem. Where?” Li Jia didn’t hesitate much. He also wanted to find an opportunity to test what Bai Zirou was doing. Since their meeting, Bai Zirou’s behavior had been very strange. She had lost the poise and composure she had in China. Her face was full of worry and annoyance.

"Huaxia Hotel, I'll be waiting for you." After Bai Zirou finished speaking, she hung up the phone. Li Jia left the Arno River, hailed a taxi, and headed straight for the Huaxia Hotel.

The Huaxia Hotel was the room that Li Jia arranged for Bai Zirou and Wang Yuying, so Li Jia knew exactly which room they were staying in. After arriving at the hotel, she went straight to Bai Zirou's room and gently knocked on the door, "Are you there?"

"The door's unlocked, come in." Bai Zirou's voice came from inside. Perhaps because she was in a bad mood, her voice didn't sound very natural. Li Jia didn't think much of it and gently pushed the door open and went in.

"Don't move! Put your hands on your head and slowly walk in!" As soon as Li Jia opened the door, a dark gun barrel was pointed at his forehead. Xiao Liang, whose head he had beaten into a pig's face, had a smug look on his face. The safety of his pistol was already off. He was sure that if Li Jia made any rash move, the bullet would not hesitate to pierce through his head.

“Li Jia, long time no see. I didn’t expect you to really trust those two women so much, coming here without even bringing weapons! Very good, have a seat.” Another voice rang out in the room. It was Bai Yang.

Li Jia smiled and looked around the room. She nodded slightly, then went inside and sat down on the sofa that had been prepared for her.

"Bai Zirou...hehe, I didn't expect that. You're with them. I suppose you brought Yu Ying into this room too?" Li Jia sat down, looked at Bai Zirou standing to one side, and then at Wang Yu Ying, who was sitting on the ground with her hands and feet tied. She asked with a soft laugh.

"Yes! You're a heinous bastard! My brother is an Interpol agent, so of course I have to help him." Seeing that Xiao Liang and Bai Yang had brought the situation under control, Bai Zirou could no longer hide her anger. She threw a stack of papers that looked like files into Li Jia's arms.

“Rapist, murderer, drug dealer…” Li Jia read out some of the charges in the file softly, her smile growing wider.

"Bai Yang, right? You played a good trick, but I think you just wanted to find out who I am. You didn't need to use such despicable methods, did you?" Li Jia looked at the pieces of paper, then casually put them aside, and praised Bai Yang's handsome face.

"Hehe, this wasn't my idea. It was Xiao Liang who wanted to put on a show for you. So I just... you understand. Hehe, sister. Now that you've completed your mission, I think you're no longer of any use. Leaving Wang Yuying behind is enough for us to get Li Jia to tell the truth! So! Liangzi, you're yours!" As soon as Bai Yang finished speaking, Bai Zirou, who had been glaring angrily at Li Jia, suddenly changed her expression.

"Bai Yang! What are you doing? Stop! Xiao Liang! You...!" Bai Zirou was startled by the sudden change in front of her, while Wang Yuying sat to the side watching the scene coldly. What Bai Zirou did to Li Jia made her sigh in her heart.

"Bai Yang? That pretty boy Bai Yang is long dead. If it weren't for the fact that I look somewhat similar to him, I wouldn't have bothered spending so much money on plastic surgery. But now that Li Jia is here, we'll probably make back double the money we spent soon! Hahahaha!" Bai Yang's eyes suddenly lost their previous clarity; his gloomy face was filled with lewdness as he stared at Bai Zirou's struggling figure, his Adam's apple bobbing incessantly.

"You!...Li Jia! Save me! Li Jia!" Even Bai Zirou, who was still a bit slow, understood what was going on. "I've been completely used as a pawn. I'm a PhD graduate, but once I leave that little world, I'm not even as good as a primary school student." Now, her only hope rests entirely on Li Jia, whom she had tricked.

However, Bai Zirou didn't think this was very likely. "With a gun pointed at Li Jia at close range, how could he possibly save himself?"

"Bai Yang, uh... although I don't know your real name, I'll just call you Bai Yang for now. I advise you to put down your gun and let's have a proper talk, otherwise I'm afraid I might accidentally kill you. What do you think?" Although Li Jia was brought here by Bai Zirou, she didn't blame the woman who knew nothing about it. Instead, she found it somewhat amusing.

Bai Yang and Xiao Liang were clearly quite capable; managing to evade the Dragon Dance Association's notice and arrive here showed they had some skill. However, anyone daring to pursue the God of Killing's whereabouts must have some skill, right? But once that skill meets its match, it's likely to be useless.
