Chapter 61 Campus Incident

After seeing Zhao Fei off, Li Jia, Meng Yao, and Zhou Xiaoyu had a small celebration. They also discussed the training they would be receiving at the headquarters of Zuolong Men's Clothing starting next week. In the end, they decided that Zhou Xiaoyu and Meng Yao would go for the training, while Li Jia would work as a dry cleaner to keep the store running smoothly during the training period.

Li Jia will be working as a shop assistant next week, so Zhou Xiaoyu and Meng Yao took advantage of the few days when they weren't too busy to give Li Jia intensive training. They taught Li Jia how to use the dry cleaning machine, washing machine, and other machines correctly in the shortest amount of time.

Fortunately, Li Jia had done her homework before opening the dry cleaning shop. Although she didn't do the work herself later because of Zhou Xiaoyu, she became more familiar with it and it became much easier for her.

After two days of intensive training and field visits, Li Jia finally passed the test. With one day left before the weekend, Li Jia decided to go to B University to find Li Xiaoqing and arrange things. Next week, she might have less time to visit the three of them at Li Xiaoqing's house, since things at the store still needed to be done well. Li Jia wasn't an ATM who could have as much money as she wanted.

After quickly tidying up her clothes, Li Jia drove away from the dry cleaner and headed straight for B University.

B University is a liberal arts university in B City, most famous for its history research major in the School of History, and Li Xiaoqing happens to be a sophomore majoring in history research.

B University has a large campus with more than a dozen departments spread across various teaching buildings. Li Jia parked her car in a public parking lot and then looked around the campus, observing the students coming and going. She marveled at the beauty of university life and reminisced about her own hellish university experience, which seemed utterly unbearable compared to her current university life.

After asking around, Li Jia quickly arrived at the front of the History Department. The History Department of B University was located in a corner of the school, in a separate six-story teaching building, along with several buildings that resembled museums. After entering the teaching building, Li Jia quickly found Li Xiaoqing.

"Brother Li? What brings you here?" Li Xiaoqing asked, somewhat surprised to see Li Jia's figure.

"I've come over to talk to you about something. If it's convenient, why don't you go for a walk with Brother Li?" Li Jia said to Li Xiaoqing with a smile.

"Okay!" After saying that, Li Xiaoqing went to the classroom, took out her textbook, hugged it to her chest, and silently followed Li Jia out of the teaching building. A boy's head peeked out from the classroom door, watching the two disappear from a distance. Then he came out of the classroom door, watched Li Jia and Li Xiaoqing's disappearing figures, took out his phone, and dialed a number with a gloomy expression...

“Brother Li will be very busy at the shop next week, so he'll have less time to visit you. Xiao Tong is just starting to work hard, and I hope you can supervise him appropriately. The same goes for Xiao Yan; he's a bit aloof and doesn't have many friends at school. So please guide him more often and help him learn to get along with others. This way, they'll develop better personalities when they grow up.” Li Jia finished speaking calmly, then turned to Li Xiaoqing, who had been holding back her questions for a while. “What do you want to ask? Go ahead.”

"Brother Li...why are you so good to us? You...could you be...our brother?" Li Xiaoqing asked cautiously, staring into Li Jia's eyes.

"Hehe, of course Brother Li is your eldest brother. I'm so good to you because you are all orphans like me. Brother Li lost his father when he was young, and later lost his mother and several brothers and sisters. So, when I met you, it reminded me of my brothers and sisters. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Li Jia's words were all from the bottom of his heart and were all true. However, Li Xiaoqing did not know that the brothers and sisters he was talking about were herself, Xiao Tong, and Xiao Yan.

"I'm sorry, Brother Li, I didn't mean to bring up your painful memories." After hearing Li Jia's words, Li Xiaoqing immediately apologized to Li Jia, and the questions in her heart were once again suppressed.

The two walked on the school's sports field, chatting quietly. There were many people playing football on the large sports field. Li Jia and Li Xiaoqing found a less crowded spot in the stands and sat down to watch the students playing football, continuing to chat about seemingly random topics.

However, quiet and happy times always pass quickly. Just as Li Jia and Li Xiaoqing were chatting happily, three people walked in from the entrance of the sports field. One was bald, one had long hair, and the other had a buzz cut. They looked fierce and walked straight towards Li Jia and Li Xiaoqing.

"Are you Li Xiaoqing?" asked the bald young man at the front of the three as he approached Li Jia.

Looking at the group of people, Li Xiaoqing nodded fearfully. "Yes, I am Li Xiaoqing. And you are?!" Before Li Xiaoqing could finish speaking, the bald boy reached out to grab her hand, but Li Jia, who was next to him, kicked the bald boy's wrist. "Get your hands off me!"

The bald man, whose wrist had been kicked, glared at Li Jia with wide eyes. "You pretty boy, you better mind your own business! It's an honor for our boss to have this girl accompany him! Don't think you're safe at school! Watch out, you might get hit by a car when you go out!" After saying that, the bald man reached out to pull Li Xiaoqing again. Li Xiaoqing was so frightened that she quickly ran behind Li Jia. This time, Li Jia didn't give the bald man any face. She kicked him again, this time directly in the tiger's mouth. A clear cracking sound immediately reached everyone's ears. The bald man's wrist was twisted at an eerie angle, and a scream comparable to that of a pig being slaughtered rang out on the sports field.

"Damn it, hit him! Beat this pretty boy to death! Ouch! It hurts so much! Damn it!" Baldy squatted on the ground in pain, clutching his twisted hand and yelling. The crew-cut and long-haired men behind him didn't care whether they were in school or not, and started attacking Li Jia with their fists.

Li Jia turned around and said to Li Xiaoqing, "Close your eyes for three seconds!" Then she turned around and grabbed the two fists that were attacking her head. She pulled her hands together, and a huge force pulled the two bodies together. Bang! With a loud bang, the two had a full-body collision. Blood spurting from their noses splattered onto each other's faces. The two boys' vision went black and they immediately passed out.

"Alright! Open your eyes." Li Jia said with a smile, holding Li Xiaoqing's hand.

Li Xiaoqing opened her eyes. The three people in front of her were groaning on the ground, while her older brother, Li, looked at her with a smile and said, "Let's go! I'll take you back to your class." After saying that, Li Jia pulled Li Xiaoqing out of the school's sports field.

In the distance from the sports field, the face that had been watching Li Xiaoqing and Li Jia leave from the classroom kicked the steps beside him hard, then left the sports field in a huff.
