By the time the red light turned green, Li Jia's car had long since disappeared. The person inside the Hyundai Elantra took out their phone, made a call, and then turned the car around and drove in the opposite direction from Li Jia.
Li Jia naturally found a place to park her car, and after a while, seeing that the other car hadn't followed, she continued driving forward.
"Hello! This is Zhang Liang, account manager of Jiuyun Advertising Company. The roll-up banners, posters, etc. that you requested to be designed and produced a few days ago have all been completed. Do you need them delivered?" Li Jia received a call from the advertising company while in her car. "Okay, same address as before. Thank you for your hard work!"
After hanging up the phone, Li Jia's car quickly returned to the dry cleaning shop. Less than half an hour later, the delivery van arrived at the shop's entrance and placed four roll-up banners and more than a dozen large posters inside. "Could you help me install them? I'll pay you extra," Li Jia said to one of the deliverymen, looking at the banners and posters on the ground.
"No problem, but I suggest you make a few more glass panels for the poster, then fix them to the wall with advertising nails and sandwich the poster in the middle. This will have a much better effect and make it look more upscale. If you need this, we can come to your home this afternoon to make it, and we'll give you a reasonable price. What do you think?" At this moment, a woman got out of the car. She looked to be in her mid-twenties, dressed in an office lady suit, holding a folder in her hand. She was very neat and tidy, and looked very capable.
"Oh? Sure, as long as you can do a good job and the price is reasonable, I'd be happy to have your help," Li Jia said with a smile, looking at the woman who got out of the front seat of the car.
"Hello! This is Bai Xuemei from the Customer Service Department of Jiuyun Advertising," the visitor introduced herself with a smile.
"Li Jia, the owner of Shujia Dry Cleaning Shop." The two shook hands naturally and introduced themselves before heading to the rest area. Meanwhile, the delivery workers quickly assembled the roll-up banners and placed them side by side at the entrance, while the posters were set aside.
"Hello, Mr. Li, I'm here on behalf of the company to provide service follow-up feedback. I hope you can cooperate with my work." After saying this, Bai Xuemei took out a form from the folder she was carrying.
"No problem." Li Jia took the form, glanced at it, and then filled in the information using the pen Bai Xuemei handed him. He quickly finished the form and handed it back to Bai Xuemei. "OK, is there anything else I need to do?"
"No, thank you. We will have workers come this afternoon to install the posters. We hope you will be satisfied with the result." After saying this, Bai Xuemei stood up, shook hands with Li Jia, and took her leave.
After seeing the advertising company staff off, Li Jia stood in front of the door and looked at the roll-up banners placed side by side at the entrance. The images were fresh and bright, and the different shades of blue made the visual impact of the images even more eye-catching. She nodded in satisfaction and then got up and went upstairs.
Downstairs, Zhou Xiaoyu was busy behind the huge dry cleaning machine. When she came out, she was immediately attracted by the tall and large roll-up banner standing at the door. She looked up and knew that it was the work of the advertising company that Li Jia had hired. So she went to the roll-up banner and adjusted the positions of several of them, making sure that the images were mainly facing outwards, so as to attract the attention of passers-by.
Li Jia came upstairs and saw Meng Yao just coming out of the bathroom. She greeted her with a smile, "I have to go out to run some errands at noon. You two can make your own lunch later."
"Okay, I understand." Meng Yao's voice sounded weak and listless. Before Li Jia could ask any questions, Meng Yao had already gone into the bedroom. Seeing Meng Yao's tired figure, Li Jia didn't disturb her rest and went downstairs with her things.
In the lounge area, today's newspapers were neatly arranged on the newspaper rack next to the sofa. I picked up a copy of the B City Evening News and slowly began to read it.
When Li Jia put down the newspaper, more than an hour had passed. After checking the time, Li Jia decided to find a place to reserve a seat in advance. She put the newspaper back on the rack and was about to leave when a headline from yesterday's news caught her eye: "Follow-up report: What will become of the estate of philanthropist and tycoon Meng Xianzong?"
Li Jia picked up the newspaper, carefully read the follow-up report, then thoughtfully put the newspaper back, said goodbye to Zhou Xiaoyu, and left the dry cleaner.
Sitting in the car, Li Jia took out her phone and sent a text message to Jiang Ling'er: "What do you want to eat? Western food or Chinese food?"
After a while, Jiang Ling replied with a message: "Western food, I haven't had it in a long time."
"Okay! I'll pick you up after get off work." After hanging up her phone, Li Jia drove around City B looking for a suitable place. She eventually drove out of Jinghua District and into Wangshui District before finding a Western restaurant called Discover Taipei. She went in, reserved a booth on the second floor near the window, and then drove towards the City B Criminal Investigation Brigade.
Arriving at the gate of the Criminal Investigation Brigade in City B, it was almost time for Jiang Ling'er to get off work. Sure enough, a few minutes later, Jiang Ling'er walked out of the gate angrily and silently opened the door of Li Jia's car and got in.
Seeing Jiang Ling's somewhat pale face, Li Jia asked as she drove, "What's wrong? You were fine this morning."
"Don't even mention it, I'll tell you later! I just want to have a big meal right now! Let's go! I'm starving!" Jiang Ling didn't answer Li Jia, but urged Li Jia to drive faster.
Knowing Jiang Ling's temperament, Li Jia didn't press her for details, believing that Jiang Ling would naturally tell her after she finished eating.
