Li Jia was undisturbed for the rest of the night and returned to City B around 1:30 a.m. He did not go back to the dry cleaning shop because of the time constraints and because he did not want to wake Meng Yao and Zhou Xiaoyu in the middle of the night. So he decided to stay in a hotel for the night and return to the shop at dawn.
Li Jia drove to the Baiyun Hotel in City B, parked the car, and then went in to book a room. Since it was after midnight, there was a 20% discount. With her room key in hand, Li Jia went into her room.
The next morning, as soon as the hotel opened, three men in suits entered. The one in the lead politely greeted the front desk, saying that he had made an appointment with a friend and described what the friend looked like. He also claimed that the friend's phone was switched off and that they could only inquire at the front desk. Based on their description, the receptionist gave them Li Jia's room number.
The three people smiled and nodded, thanked them, and then went upstairs.
Li Jia got up very early as usual today. After washing up in the guest room, she was about to go out when there was a rhythmic knocking on the door. "Who is it?" Li Jia put on her coat and went to the door to open it.
The three men outside the door nodded slightly when they saw Li Jia. "Hello, Mr. Li, our Brother Tiger wants to see you." Without waiting for Li Feng's reply, they stepped aside and gestured for him to enter.
"Tiger Brother? Which Tiger Brother?" Li Jia saw that the three of them seemed to have no choice but to go, so she straightened her coat and asked.
"You'll find out when you get there. He asked me to tell you that he wants to talk to you about Liu Cangwu," the man at the front explained politely.
"Liu Cangwu? Oh? Okay, I've been wanting to meet this famous Tiger Brother. Lead the way!" Li Jia immediately understood what was going on. The past few days had felt too peaceful, and she was right. Just back in B City, people were finally coming to her door.
"Mr. Li, please!" The three men, one in front and two behind, led Li Jia downstairs, checked out of the hotel at the front desk, and then Li Jia followed the three men out of the hotel.
"Mr. Li, will you be driving yourself, or riding in our car?" Seeing that Li Jia showed no fear or unease, the three men began to believe the conversation between the gang leaders. The man in front of them didn't care about the three of them at all, so they were happy to be generous. Of course, there was another important reason for his statement: Tiger had said that as long as they mentioned Liu Cangwu, he would definitely come. That's why he was now comfortable letting Li Jia drive his car.
"I'll just drive my own car. I'm not used to riding in other people's cars." Li Jia had his own plans. Since they had come knocking on his door, he might as well go and meet the tiger he had never met before, and settle things with them. Such opportunities don't come every day. If he didn't settle things, he would always have some reservations. These people were naturally no threat to Li Jia, but Li Jia wasn't alone. He had younger siblings and friends. Li Jia was all alone, and he couldn't be with these people every day. So, Li Jia was naturally happy to have the opportunity to completely resolve the situation so he wouldn't have to worry about it every day.
Following the black Buick ahead, we drove towards Wanzhao District, the central area of City B. City B has five districts: Jinghua District, Dayang District, Wangshui District, Wanzhao District, and Longhai District.
Jinghua District is the academic hub of City B, while Wanzhao District is surrounded by the other four districts, meaning it is located slightly east of the city center. The district with the largest contact area with Wanzhao District is Longhai District, which is the most chaotic district in City B.
After nearly an hour's drive, the black Buick stopped in front of an entertainment club called Guns N' Roses, located at the junction of Wanzhao District and Longhai District. Four pretty office ladies in business attire were standing in front of the door. Three of them got out of the car, one of them quickly walked forward and whispered something, while the other two went to Li Feng's car, opened the door for him, took the keys, drove the car to the side, parked it, and then returned the keys to Li Feng.
"Mr. Li, please!" The four women standing at the door stepped forward, bowed slightly, and said to Li Jia with smiles. Then, the four of them, like Li Jia, walked into the club. As soon as the women entered, the three men locked the door and hung up a sign saying "Closed." A few minutes later, when Li Jia's figure disappeared from the doorway, a man in a suit carrying a black plastic bag appeared in the distance. After the group huddled together and whispered for a while, one of them, carrying the black plastic bag, crawled under Li Jia's Passat...
Led by four women, Li Jia entered the elevator. The arrangement of the women in the elevator made Li Jia smile inwardly. The four women were vying to stand in front of Li Jia, for reasons unknown, perhaps to show off their figures. In the end, the two women who looked slightly shorter stood in front of Li Jia, while the other two slightly taller women stood behind her. The four pure and beautiful women then surrounded Li Jia.
The building was quite tall, nine floors. In the short time it took Li Jia to get from the first floor to the ninth, he truly experienced the comfort of being surrounded by beautiful women. The four women each exuded a different scent, a faint, almost imperceptible fragrance. Li Jia sensed something was amiss, but just as he was about to ponder it further, the elevator doors opened. The first two women stepped out, smiling as they said, "Mr. Li! Please!"
Li Jia nodded, casually putting aside the strange thought from earlier. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she was in front of a huge lobby. Inside the lobby was a long table laden with a sumptuous breakfast. In the middle of one side of the table stood a burly man with a hairstyle similar to Colonel Gull from the Street Fighter game, and a beard almost as thick as Uncle Binding's. Li Jia smiled faintly at first glance; this man was simply too distinctive.
"Mr. Li! Welcome!" With a welcome, the distinctive man who was standing there took two steps to the side, revealing the man sitting not far from the table. He was in his forties, with a face full of fat, and most importantly, two long scars on his bald forehead. From a distance, he looked somewhat like the prince with the tiger's forehead, which was probably the origin of his nickname "Tiger".
"Brother Tiger, it's an honor to meet you!" Li Jia replied casually.
"Please sit down. I've prepared some breakfast here. Let's eat and chat!" Tiger got up and came to the table. Only then did Li Jia realize that Tiger wasn't very tall, but his body looked particularly sturdy, suggesting he possessed considerable strength.
"Okay, I haven't eaten yet, thank you so much!" Li Jia said calmly without fear, then sat down in one of the chairs with a smile.
"Hmph! Is that seat for you?" Just as Li Jia sat down, the elevator doors opened, and a person walked out, speaking disdainfully.
