Chapter 80 Pulling Teeth from a Tiger's Mouth

Li Jia walked out of the conference room and into the lobby directly opposite the elevator. Having been tricked by Tiger, it would be unreasonable not to settle the score with him. Although Li Jia didn't like to cause trouble, he wasn't the kind of person who would just laugh it off after being tricked by someone.

The tables in the lobby had been cleaned up, but the tiger was nowhere to be found. Li Jia searched everywhere but couldn't find the tiger. The entire floor of the huge club was empty, as if the tiger had never been there at all.

When Li Jia came out of the lobby, the elevator doors opened, and Tiger, now dressed in a black suit, emerged with four bodyguards and two women behind him. Seeing Li Jia standing in the lobby, smiling at him, he was immediately startled. "These two idiots didn't take him out? What are they doing?!"

"Mr. Li, I'm so glad you're alright. I was just about to go out and call some people to get you out of those two bastards' clutches. What happened just now was out of necessity. You know I wasn't confident I could handle those two guys, so please forgive me, Mr. Li!" Tiger said with a smile, sounding nothing like the person who had just tricked Li Jia. No wonder Xiao Liu and Toad called him the Smiling Tiger.

"Brother Tiger, I finally understand why they call you Smiling Tiger. Hehe, alright, let's say you went to find someone to rescue me. Now that I'm alright, can we talk about what happened between us?" Li Jia looked at Smiling Tiger with a fawning smile, staring into his eyes as she spoke each word carefully. Tiger sensed the anger in Li Jia's words, but that was all; he didn't think Li Jia posed any threat to him.

While he was indulging in debauchery with his two concubines, Toad was carried out, and a large group of people left. He didn't notice any of this. Furthermore, he never carries any communication devices when he's having fun, and his subordinates didn't bother to inform Tiger, as they all knew the club belonged to Tiger. Toad being carried away was definitely Tiger's doing, and that large group of men missing limbs were undoubtedly the work of Tiger's men.

“Since Mr. Li is interested, why don’t you have a chat with me? Please sit down! Let’s leave the matter of earlier behind and talk about what happened between us.” After a moment’s thought, Tiger gestured for his two henchmen to sit beside him, while two of the other four men in suits stood behind Tiger, and the other two went around to Li Jia’s back.

Li Jia turned around and looked at the two burly men standing behind her. A slight smile appeared on her lips. She then pulled up a chair and sat down directly opposite Tiger. "Brother Tiger, you told me earlier that you had something to talk about, so please go first!"

Tiger suddenly felt puzzled by Li Jia sitting in front of him. He reasoned that even if Li Jia was incredibly skilled, she couldn't possibly be faster than the five guns in his hand. Why was he suddenly so uneasy?

Tiger glanced at the people around him once more, banishing the unease from his mind, and his face once again plastered with a smile. "Mr. Li, since that's the case, I'll be frank! You injured two of my capable men before. What are you going to do about that?" Tiger's smile vanished instantly, his bull-like eyes widening as he stared at Li Jia. This sudden change showed Li Jia once again what it meant to change faces faster than flipping through a book.

"So, what does Tiger mean by 'what should I do'?" Li Jia asked, continuing Tiger's question.

"Having crippled two of my most capable men, according to my Tiger's rules, I'd definitely have to take you out of your body. But I, Tiger, value talent, so I'll give you a chance: come and help me. What do you say?" Tiger finished speaking and took out a pistol from his pocket, placing it on the table. "This domestically made gun took me a lot of effort to get my hands on. If you agree, I can give it to you as a greeting gift. How about it?"

Li Jia stared at the gun on the table, its dark muzzle pointed directly at her. This time, she didn't try to suppress her anger. Being threatened with a gun so quickly—it seemed she'd been living a life of ease for far too long. Now, anyone could point a gun at her.

"Brother Tiger, are you threatening me? It's been a long time since anyone dared to threaten me, hehe." Li Jia would laugh when she was angry, and the calmer and less angry she was, the more terrifying she would be when she finally got angry.

"Mr. Li, some things don't need to be said so bluntly. In short, will you agree or not? But I hope you'll think it over carefully before you answer. Not everyone has your skills." Tiger finished speaking and picked up his pistol. His last sentence became the fuse that ignited Li Jia's anger.

He reached into his pocket, took out a Blue Classic cigarette, lit it, and took a deep drag. "Mr. Li, as far as I know, you also own a dry cleaning shop, right? And there are two top-quality items there, one big and one small..." Tiger thought Li Jia was hesitating, so he opened his mouth and said the information he had just received. Little did he know that these words almost cost him his life.

As Tiger spoke casually, Li Jia suddenly flung out the four bullets in her hand. The four bodyguards immediately clutched their necks and fell to the ground, bright red blood gushing from the visible holes in their necks. Before they could even utter a sound, they convulsed on the ground and slowly went still.

"Li Jia! You're asking for death!" Tiger roared, grabbing his pistol and preparing to shoot Li Jia. A flash of yellow appeared between Li Jia's fingers; a long, narrow yellow bullet was wedged between her index and middle fingers. Before Tiger could pull the trigger, the bullet ricocheted off, striking Tiger directly in the front teeth. Tiger's gun, however, struck the ceiling because he himself had been shot. The loud gunshot startled the two captives. Li Jia, using one hand on the table, leaped up and landed in front of Tiger, kicking the pistol away. Then, using another hand on the table, she launched herself into the air, slamming her elbow into Tiger's right head. She then landed behind Tiger, grabbing his neck and slamming him onto the table!

The tiger had already lost two front teeth to Li Jia's bullet, which then got stuck in its upper jaw. Li Jia then grabbed its neck and slammed its head against the table like a watermelon, causing it to spit out a mouthful of blood. Just as the tiger was about to speak, Li Jia slammed it onto the table again. This time, almost all of the tiger's teeth were gone. Due to Li Jia's immense strength, the tiger simply swallowed all the blood and teeth.

When Li Jia stopped, Tiger's face was no longer human. Looking at the disfigured Tiger, she said, "Brother Tiger, here's your gun back. Don't wave it in front of me anymore. Also, here's a bullet for you. Keep it as a souvenir! Take it out and look at it whenever you miss me!" After saying that, Li Jia ignored the two trembling women, stood up, and walked into the elevator.
