A powerful C4 plastic bomb lay there silently. If it were to explode, it alone would probably level the warehouse. But there were only five seconds left. What could you do in five seconds?
"Get to the basement immediately!" Li Jia ordered. Angel and Scorpion rushed into the basement without hesitation. Li Jia took out a dagger made by Scorpion and removed the C4 bomb from the corner. In an instant, the powerful firepower completely covered all areas of the ruins, except for the corner of the basement entrance.
After a barrage of fire, while reloading, Kadar raised his hand and signaled, "Advance. Locate the attacker and eliminate him completely!"
The group of fifty-odd people then began their slow advance, while Li Jia and her two companions discussed their strategy at a corner of the basement entrance.
Scorpion was never short of powerful weapons. His modified pistol had a grenade launcher attached, and he happened to be carrying three homemade grenades, which were extremely lethal. These were intended for a surprise attack if a sneak assault failed, and now they came in handy!
The three of them immediately exited the basement entrance. Cover could be found everywhere in the ruins; they spread out and waited for their opportunity!
"Boom!" With the first grenade fired by Scorpion, more than half of the dozen or so men surrounding them from the north were instantly killed. The remaining men immediately dropped to the ground, firing wildly into the ruins. Meanwhile, on the other side, Li Jia's arrows were proving effective, and Angel's fully automatic submachine gun had become a real handgun. Each raised hand and a single shot took down one of the surrounding men.
For a moment, the remaining thirty-odd men, only a few dozen meters away, dared not advance further into the ruins. They had been far too overconfident. They had squandered all the ammunition of their heavy weapons, rendering their two rocket launchers useless and discarding them aside. The thirty-odd men were armed with either A-class or M16 carbines, and the firepower within the ruins made them wary.
After all, the first wave of attack had already resulted in the loss of more than a dozen people without even seeing a single person. If things continued like this, by the time they could begin a thorough search, almost everyone would be dead!
"Call me and get some grenades! Don't move, surround this place first!" Kadar thought for a moment and gave the order. Li Feng and the other two also clearly felt that the people surrounding them were not attacking, but were standing guard, as if waiting for reinforcements.
"Go free! Try to get out of here before their reinforcements arrive!" Li Jia shouted from the ruins, but no one outside could understand what he said. However, Li Feng's shout startled them, and they grabbed their guns and started firing wildly into the ruins.
