Chapter 3 Invitation

Chapter 3 Invitation

Qi Yue stared at Yu Zhiming's hands as they slowly moved from his niece's chest all the way down to her lower abdomen. After more than half an hour, he withdrew his hands and straightened up.

He couldn't help but ask, "Doctor Yu, have you finished the examination? What did you find?"

"Ms. Yin, you can get up now."

Yu Zhiming first instructed Yin Wenzhu, took off his gloves, and then turned his gaze to Qi Yue.

"Mr. Qi, from my perception, my niece's internal organs are weakened, and I feel a sense of lethargy."

"To put it simply, my niece's body is in a serious sub-health state."

Having said that, Yu Zhiming saw that Qi Yue had no reaction, and knew that the other party was somewhat dissatisfied with this statement.

After all, it is obvious that Yin Wenzhu is thin and frail, and her face is slightly pale, which is enough to show that her body is not so energetic.

Yu Zhiming needs to come up with some solid evidence.

He continued, "There are three organs that require more attention in the future."

"One is that there are nodules in the lungs."

"Although these lung nodules are few and scattered, and the largest nodule is only three or four millimeters in diameter, they do not require special treatment. However, they do require special attention during future regular physical examinations."

Yu Zhiming finally noticed that Qi Yue's expression became a little more serious.

He continued, "The second is the liver!"

"There was no obvious enlargement or other abnormalities in the liver, but I noticed some bumps on the surface of the liver, which seemed not smooth enough."

Yu Zhiming looked at Yin Wenzhu who had stood up. "Ms. Yin, you have a slim figure, and there's no obvious congestion in your blood flow, which indicates your blood lipids are not high."

"I infer that you have mild alcoholic fatty liver disease?"

Yin Wenzhu first looked at Qi Yue, and seeing that he didn't express anything, she replied softly, "Doctor Yu, I do have fatty liver."

"I drank a lot earlier because of work needs."

"I was later diagnosed with fatty liver disease. In recent years, I have rarely drunk alcohol."

Yu Zhiming uttered a soft "oh" and heard Qi Yue's question again, "Doctor Yu, the third organ that needs attention is the heart?"

"It's the ovaries!"

Yu Zhiming replied briefly, then explained, "From my perception, both ovaries have slightly atrophied."

"Ms. Yin, you haven't had a boyfriend in a long time, uh, at least three to five years?"

When Yin Wenzhu faced this question, a thin layer of blush appeared on her cheeks.

She replied awkwardly, "Well, well, I'm usually busy with work and don't have time to date."

"Um, Doctor Yu, is there any harm in this?"

Yu Zhiming considered his words and said, "You are in a serious sub-health state..."

"Plus, I've been lacking some kind of nourishment. If I don't rest well and make some changes, I might..."

"Let your menopause be several years earlier than others."

At this time, Qi Yue's voice sounded again, "Wenzhu, did you hear what Doctor Yu said?"

"Your physical condition is much more serious than I thought."

"After I get back, I'll quit my job, take a good rest for a while to recuperate, and then hurry up and find a boyfriend."

Qi Yue saw that his niece pursed her lips and did not respond, and knew that he would need to persuade her again after returning home.

He looked at Yu Zhiming and asked with concern: "Doctor Yu, have you found any problems with her heart?"

Yu Zhiming shook his head and replied, "Your niece's heart function is fine. I haven't found any abnormalities."

"Doctor Yu, are you sure there's nothing wrong with her heart? Do you want to check again?"

When Qi Yue asked this question, he realized that his questioning tone was too harsh, and he quickly made amends: "Doctor Yu, please don't think too much, I don't mean to offend you."

After a two-second pause, he further explained, "Last month, Wenzhu suddenly fainted while taking a shower at home and suffered a major gash on her head."

"That night, if a subordinate hadn't happened to deliver information to her, the consequences would have been disastrous."

Speaking of this, Qi Yue showed a bit of fear on his face.

"Wenzhu's sudden fainting, the hospital's examination results cannot completely rule out heart causes as the cause of the sudden coma."

Qi Yue said solemnly: "Doctor Yu, you are unique in cardiac examinations..."

Yu Zhiming interrupted him directly and asked doubtfully, "Mr. Qi, where did you hear that I have unique expertise in the field of cardiology?"

Qi Yue smiled gently and said, "Doctor Yu, in March of this year, on the south bank of the Binhai Pujiang River, did you give a physical examination to a man in his forties and tell him that he needed to take care of his heart in time, otherwise he would have serious problems?"

"Mr. Qi, is there really something wrong with that man's heart?" Yu Zhiming asked anxiously, his narrowed eyes widening twice as wide.

Qi Yue nodded and sighed, "Just last Tuesday night, his heart stopped suddenly!"

"Fortunately, he listened to your warnings back then. He kept emergency heart medication at home, just in case."

"His wife also learned CPR. This allowed him to make it to the hospital and he narrowly escaped death."

"However, a long recovery period is inevitable."

Qi Yue sighed and continued, "Doctor Yu, I know this person."

"He also told me what you warned him at that time."

"You told him..."

"His heart is like an athlete in the final sprint of a marathon. Although he appears energetic and fast on the outside, he is already extremely tired inside and may stop at any time."

Yu Zhiming nodded, indicating that he did say so.

He then said modestly, "Mr. Qi, actually, I was just expressing my vague feelings at the time. I wasn't sure about it, either."

“I never thought that my words would come true!”

Qi Yue chuckled and said, "Doctor Yu, this feeling is extremely important. It is enough to show that you have a strong intuition and talent in diagnosis."

He sighed slowly again, "It's quite easy to become a qualified doctor."

"But becoming an outstanding and extraordinary doctor is extremely difficult. Most doctors who aspire to this goal lack this intuition and talent."

"Doctor Yu, you have the potential to become a great doctor!"

These words made Yu Zhiming happy in his heart, but he was extremely humble, "Mr. Qi, thank you for the compliment, thank you for the compliment."

"I can't say I'm talented. I'm just a small doctor at the county hospital. That diagnosis was probably a lucky rapport."

Qi Yue laughed heartily and said, "Doctor Yu, don't underestimate yourself. Everything is possible for your future!"

Yu Zhiming wanted to respond with a smile, but it pulled the wound and made him grimace in pain.

He quickly changed the subject, "Since that person listened to me and even prepared emergency heart medicine at home, why didn't he go to the hospital for a heart check?"

Qi Yue had a complicated expression on his face and said sullenly, "He went to the hospital for a comprehensive heart check."

"Just the test results... my heart is quite healthy."

Yu Zhiming let out a long "oh".

Then, there was silence in the ward.

Dean Wu, who had been unable to get a word in, was about to break the silence when he saw Qi Yue stand up straighter.

"Doctor Yu, let me introduce myself again. I'm also a doctor from Binhai Huashan Hospital."

Dean Wu finally found a topic to start with and quickly said, "Xiao Yu, Doctor Qi is not an ordinary person."

"He is a nationally renowned diagnostic expert who leads a medical research center named after him at Binhai Huashan Hospital."

"Xiao Yu, you should have heard of Huashan Hospital, right?"

Dean Wu looked very excited. Without waiting for Yu Zhiming's response, he continued, "Huashan Hospital is one of the four major hospitals in Binhai. It is also ranked among the top comprehensive and large hospitals in the country, at least in the top 30."

Yu Zhiming didn't expect that Qi Yue's background was so prominent.

After Dean Wu finished speaking, he quickly put on the posture of a junior student and bowed to Qi Yue.

"Mr. Qi, it turns out you are a renowned medical expert. I was too shortsighted to recognize you."

He said embarrassedly: "I was just showing off my skills. I'm sorry to have embarrassed you."

Qi Yue smiled faintly and said, "Doctor Yu, you weren't just showing off just now. You showed me your percussion and auscultation skills. They are truly well-deserved."

"To be honest, I can't reach your level."

Hearing this, Yu Zhiming was no longer modest and replied generously: "Dr. Qi, thank you for your recognition and praise. This is very encouraging!"

Qi Yue showed admiration on his face and said in a deep voice: "Doctor Yu, I came here for two purposes."

"First, I would like to formally invite you, Dr. Yu, to join my medical team."

"Secondly, I would like you to examine Wenzhu's body and check if there is any problem with her heart."

Qi Yue looked at Yu Zhiming with a smile and asked, "Doctor Yu, are you willing to accept new challenges and come to Binhai Huashan Hospital to study and work?"
