Chapter 192 Settling Accounts

Jiu Wu took the helmet from her hand and gently put it on her, then turned to the side, wrapped his arm around Xia Xiang's waist, and lifted her up.

"Hey~" Xia Xiang exclaimed, her arms unconsciously wrapping around his neck.

When she realized what was happening, she was already sitting sideways in front of Jiu Wu, with his coat, which he had just taken off, covering her legs.

"Um, won't it be hard for you to ride like this? Why don't you stop and let me sit in the back?" Xia Xiang was completely wrapped in Jiu Wu's arms, one hand around his neck and the other pressing on his jacket. "Actually, you're speeding like this. You can ride slower."

Jiuwu rode his bike intently, glancing at her expression repeatedly, but avoiding looking directly at her, giving off the impression that he was angry and needed to be appeased.

But Xia Xiang still didn't react, and kept muttering to herself.

"Of course I'm not scared, I just think it's not safe for others if you ride your bike while you're emotional."

Her mind was racing, and she didn't notice where they were until Jiuwu stopped at the beach.

"Aren't we going back to the Xia family?!" Xia Xiang looked around and saw only a slightly familiar-looking small wooden house not far away.

Jiu Wu pulled Xia Xiang toward the small wooden house—

As Xia Xiang approached, the first thing she noticed was the flowers she had planted as a child, all of which had been transplanted here and were growing very well, as if someone had taken special care of them. The room was also filled with things from her childhood.

"This is a birthday present for you." Jiu Wu had already calmed himself down and handed her the key with expectant eyes.

"Could this be a one-to-one replica of my model?!" Xia Xiang looked around and saw the small wooden house model on the top shelf of the bookshelf.

Jiuwu nodded, pleased with her reaction. "Also, since I'm coming to take care of your flowers, I have a key too."

"Thank you, Jiuwu." Xia Xiang's eyes were a little hot. She hugged him, deeply moved, completely unaware that the man had been sulking the whole way.

"You're welcome," Jiu Wu said, bending down to ruffle her hair, a rare smile appearing on his face. "Then we should settle the score!"

Xia Xiang: !!!

Jiu Wu took out the "Thousand Miles Connected by a Single Thread" and tied the person up. He then carried the person into the room, pressed them onto the bed, and swiftly wrapped them in a blanket.

"Jiu Wu! You bastard!" Xia Xiang's muffled voice came from under the covers.

"You're a little rascal too!" Jiu Wu wrapped one arm around her through the blanket and used the other to pull her head out from under the blanket.

"If you do anything so dangerous again, I'll use the 'Thousand Mile Thread Tie' to bind you to my side forever! Unless you kill me, I will never let you go!"

Xia Xiang's face was flushed, her eyes were wet, and she glared at Jiu Wu with dissatisfaction, "Let me go first!"

"I won't let go!" Jiu Wu looked away, ignoring Xia Xiang's pitiful yet menacing appearance, and slapped her hard on the buttocks.

"Jiu Wu!!! You've gone too far!" Xia Xiang's tearful voice didn't elicit even the slightest pity from Jiu Wu.

It didn't hurt because of the thick blanket, but it was so embarrassing, that stinky Jiu Wu! I don't think I'll ever forgive him!

"You're going too far!" Jiu Wu slapped her again, controlling himself to avoid looking at her face, and then slapped her several more times. "You almost made me die of anger! Do you know how I've been these past two months?!"

“Every time I close my eyes, I see you covered in blood that day. I’m terrified every moment that you’ll be hurt or abused!”

With each sentence Jiu Wu spoke, a slap landed on his face—

Xia Xiang stopped struggling and let him do as he pleased. Jiu Wu was an important person to her, and she really hadn't considered Jiu Wu's feelings.

"I was terrified." Jiu Wu wrapped his arms around Xia Xiang, who was wrapped up in a ball, lay down next to her, rested his head on Xia Xiang's shoulder, and snuggled close to her.

"I'm sorry, Brother Jiuwu, I know I was wrong." Xia Xiang gently rubbed his cheek to comfort him, speaking softly to coax him.

Although Jiu Wu was still angry, things had come to this point, could he really find a place where no one knew him and lock him up?

Xia Xiang tried to coax him for a while, but he didn't react. She then turned away angrily and refused to look at him. "But it was wrong of you to hit me! Apologize to me right now, and maybe I won't be angry anymore."

Xia Xiang was answered by a soft breathing sound; Jiu Wu's eyes were dark, and he was fast asleep.

My last thought before falling asleep was that maybe I should really consider locking her up.

"Can you let me go before I sleep?" Xia Xiang struggled weakly for a moment, but then, afraid of disturbing him, she stared at his sleeping face in a daze and fell asleep listening to his breathing.

These days, she hasn't been able to get a proper rest at Yehenara's house. Now that she's relaxed, sleepiness is creeping in.

When Xia Xiang woke up, it was already afternoon, and golden sunlight lazily streamed through the huge French windows and spread across the bed.

Jiu Wu propped his head up, placed one hand on Xia Xiang, who was wrapped in a blanket, and looked at her with tender eyes.

"It's getting late, I'll wait for you outside."

Xia Xiang nodded groggily and crawled out of bed...

——

"Wait here for me a moment, I'll go in and let you know, then I'll be right back out." Xia Xiang handed her coat to Jiu Wu, who was adjusting her clothes.

"Aren't you going to invite me in for a seat? Is it appropriate to leave me outside?" Jiu Wu looked at her with a smile, clearly indicating that he wanted to be invited inside.

"Young Master, thank you for visiting the Xia Lanxingde family." Xia Xiang made an exaggerated gesture of invitation.

Jiu Wu put one hand on her shoulder, hooked his arm around her waist, and pulled her inside.

“Hey, hey, Jiu Wu, let go,” Xia Xiang struggled. “If my family sees this, I’ll lose my leg.”

"Heh—" Rex watched the two bickering and leaned against the door frame, letting out a cold laugh.

Xia Xiang immediately distanced herself from Jiu Wu.

"Rex, how are you feeling?" Jiu Wu touched his nose and awkwardly spoke first.

"It's alright," Rex said, turning around and going inside. Xia Xiang and Jiu Wu followed him in.

When Xia Xiang went inside, she found Xiu and A Kou there, discussing how to rescue people in Han's room.

"Hey," A-Kou said with a sly grin, looking at Xia Xiang and Jiu Wu, "You two, something's up~"

Xia Tian thought he had thought of something, his eyes lit up, but then she realized it was her little sister and another boy who had arrived.

"What's going on?!" Xia Tian stared blankly at the two of them.

Xia Tian did not go to Yehenara's house, nor did she meet Jiu Wu. She just felt that he was standing too close to her younger sister, which was quite an eyesore.

"Nothing's wrong!" Xia Xiang glared at A Kou, the warning clear in her eyes.

Jiu Wu didn't say anything, he just looked at Xia Xiang with affection, and then gave A Kou a warning look with a smile.

"I'll shut up," A-Kou begged for mercy, then shut his mouth again and made a muffled sound. He had thought of a way.

Xia Xiang rolled her eyes at him, "Open your mouth and speak."

"Yes, Your Majesty, please forgive me, but the method to cure the cold is actually in your hands." Akou nodded solemnly.

All eyes were on Xia Xiang—
