Xia Xiang has been very busy these past few days.
She was either hunting for illusions with her two friends or looking at information about the Iron Guard, and every now and then Jiu Wu would ask her to come and keep him company under the pretext of work, so she simply didn't have time to go home.
She received the call from her older sister the day after Han disappeared.
Summer sat by the roadside looking haggard, holding many missing person posters with Han's photo on them.
Xia Mei, Ren Chenwen, and the other two were still trying to persuade him to go back and eat something and change his clothes, but Xia Tian seemed not to hear them.
"Investigate a girl named Han Kelama Han." Xia Xiang watched from afar, then called the captain of the North City Guard.
Before the call was even over, Xia Xiang received a definite answer from the other party, and then she walked over to her second brother.
"Second Brother, I know where Han is," Xia Xiang said, sitting down on the steps with him.
"Where is he?" Xia Tian's eyes lit up instantly when she heard Han's name, as if a switch had been flipped. She asked eagerly, "Where is Han, Xiao Ying? Tell me quickly."
"Xiangxiang, how could you do this? Tian-ge is your own brother! How can you just watch him search for people so hard? You should have told me sooner!" Ren Chenwen complained.
Xia Xiang pursed her lips, glared at him, and decided to argue with him.
"Xiaoying, do you really know where Han is?" Xia Mei asked doubtfully.
She just called Xiaoying, is it that fast?
Xia Xiang nodded in agreement.
Xia Tian immediately said, "Xiao Ying, tell me where she is right away, I need to go find her."
“I assure you she’s safe, but you have to listen to me before I tell you,” Xia Xiang said, frowning.
She could understand Xia Tian and Han's feelings, but his way of handling things was a bit too... childish, wasn't it? Maybe she should spend money to enroll him in a class with her older brother.
But my brother is so busy right now, with school matters and Yehenara family matters, he definitely doesn't have time to deal with him.
"Okay, I'll agree to anything you ask." Xia Tian nodded vigorously, eagerly agreeing.
"Go home, eat, take a shower, and go to sleep." Xia Xiang got up and patted off imaginary dust from her pants. "After you wake up, I'll take you to pick her up."
“If you don’t do as I say, I guarantee you’ll never see her again in your life,” Xia Xiang threatened as soon as she saw him sitting on the steps without moving.
Before Xia Tian could say anything, Ren Chenwen, without any sense of propriety, jumped out to criticize Xia Xiang, saying that she had no sympathy for her own brother and that it was no wonder she could be so cruel to her own grandfather. Xia Mi and Frog Brother chimed in.
"Thunder of Despair - Ulabah - Lightning Bolt!" Xia Mei tore off a corner of the Dragon Sealing Talisman right there in the street. She knew that her younger sister was doing it for her brother's own good, and that she wasn't heartless at all.
Finally, the three of them returned to the Xia family home. Xia Xiang stayed with Xia Tian, cooking for him and then urging him to go to sleep, while she waited for her mother in the living room.
Xiong Ge was already feeling guilty about taking Han to the checkup, and seeing her two daughters sitting on the sofa staring at her silently made her feel flustered.
"What's up, you two? Want to chat with your mom about girly things today?" Xiong Ge said with a smile. "Sure, but Mom just got back. I'm going to grab something to eat, take a shower, and then I'll spend more time with you, okay?"
"Okay," Xia Xiang urged her mother to take a shower while she went to the kitchen to heat up her food.
"Wow! Xiaoying, your cooking skills are just as good as your older brother's!" Xiong Ge said happily while eating the food.
"Mom, can you tell me why you sent Han to the Ancient Tomb Hospital for a checkup? And you should be able to tell Second Brother about this, right?" Xia Xiang asked. Seeing Xiong Ge's somewhat embarrassed expression, she quickly explained, "Of course, I don't mean to blame you, Mom. I just want to know why."
"Wow, Mommy Darling, it really is you!" Xia Mei exclaimed excitedly.
"Cough cough, how did you know?" Xiong Ge choked, and Xia Xiang handed her a glass of water.
"I called a friend and he said he saw it," Xia Xiang replied expressionlessly.
"Uh, I just wanted her to get a checkup, it's nothing serious," Xiong Ge said.
"Then just tell us directly, why keep it from Xiao Ge and everyone else?" Xia Mei asked, puzzled.
"Is there something wrong with Han's health?" Xia Xiang asked.
"No, it's not that. It's about her amnesia," Xiong Ge said cautiously in a low voice. "You don't have amnesia, but she does. I suspect her amnesia might be fake."
"Uh, that's true," Xia Xiang said, realizing what she meant.
"But I woke up after Rex transferred his powers to me, while she woke up after listening to the Soul Searching Melody. What if it was caused by the Soul Searching Melody?"
"So, you're not sure either," Xiong Ge said. "That's why I sent her to get checked out. She should be back tomorrow. Don't tell Xia Tian yet."
"What?! Don't tell me yet?!" Xia Tian stood on the stairs, looking completely clear-headed, and asked excitedly.
The three people: ......
