The two stood facing each other, an endless silence enveloping them.
“Thank you for caring about me every day,” Yu Xi finally spoke, breaking the silence in the room. “I just wonder how your good brothers Wang Da Dong and King Arthur are doing. It seems that your brotherhood is just a facade.”
Ding Xiaoyu didn't intervene because she knew the final outcome: time would be reset, and everything would turn out well.
If he suddenly makes a move, it might disrupt the order of this space-time. Besides, he doesn't understand the person in front of him, so this could be considered a breakthrough point.
“Wang Dadong was assigned to a pervert, and very few test subjects survive his hands.” Yu Xi said with a regretful expression. “King Arthur, he was very unruly, but not as obedient as you. You are now dead beyond dead.”
Ding Xiaoyu's expression remained unchanged, but her hand clenched into a fist slightly, then relaxed after a moment. "Are you trying to provoke me? What's your purpose?"
"I'm happy," Yu Xi said nonchalantly.
"I believe them," Ding Xiaoyu said with his eyes closed, ignoring Yu Xi who was deliberately provoking him.
“That’s right, you really should trust them.” Yu Xi was somewhat pleased to see him like this; at least he had some emotion left. Her medicine had no side effects.
"I sold Wang Dadong in order to steal you out."
Ding Xiaoyu opened her eyes upon hearing this and looked at her in confusion.
“I injected him with the antidote and deliberately left his shackles on.” Yu Xi walked to the balcony, her back to Ding Xiaoyu. “He took the opportunity to escape, and the commotion he caused gave you the chance.”
"You're only able to wake up here safely thanks to your good brother. He's currently under full siege by them. Without his superpowers, he'd probably be with King Arthur by now."
"What a pity about the leader of Class KO One..."
As Yu Xi turned around, Ding Xiaoyu's hand was already gripping her fair neck, forcing her slender waist to lean back against the iron railing.
"Hahaha, you've been exposed!" Yu Xi laughed wildly, tears welling up in her eyes, whether from the suffocating feeling in her neck or from excitement, it was hard to tell.
"Master!" Hearing the commotion, more than a dozen people rushed into the small room, all carrying firearms. Even the maid who brought Ding Xiaoyu her meals every day stared at her with chilling eyes.
Ding Xiaoyu stood in front of Yu Xi, holding her hostage.
The bodyguard didn't speak, but instead looked at Yu Xi questioningly.
“No need, I like the feeling of taming animals.” Yu Xi raised her hand, signaling them to leave.
Ding Xiaoyu was puzzled. Before she could even move, she felt a numbing sensation in her wrists and ankles, as if she had been electrocuted. She collapsed to the ground, completely exhausted. Meanwhile, Yu Xi easily escaped and waved lightly towards the balcony, signaling the sniper hiding on the opposite side to retreat.
"I'm a bit timid, so I prepared a bit more thoroughly. You won't blame me, will you?" Yu Xi sat cross-legged in front of Ding Xiaoyu, her slender fingers tracing his eyebrows and eyes. When she stopped at the tip of his nose, she lightly tapped it and laughed.
"Now you believe I'm a pervert?"
"Yu Xihua! Haven't you caused enough trouble?!" Ding Xiaoyu, supporting herself, questioned him in the loudest voice.
The memory of Ding Xiaoyu flashed through his mind, and he remembered this neighbor whose childhood was just as tragic as his own.
However, he was bullied by those unruly kids, while little Yu Xihua directly ordered his bodyguards to shoot them...
