"Why did you seek out Jiuwu?" Xia Xiang asked, finally voicing the question that had been weighing on her mind for so long.
"Do you know why Huai'an opposes you two being together?" Diablo, the Demon Lord, didn't answer her question but spoke to himself.
Xia Xiang shook her head, indicating that she did not know.
“Huai’an isn’t against you two being together, it’s just that he understands you. The more he opposes it, the more rebellious you become.” Diablo smiled stiffly. “He wants to push you back to be sacrificed.”
Xia Xiang really wanted to slap him, but after clenching her fists, she gave up. Although Huai An was annoying and not worth trusting at all, she wouldn't trust a devil.
"You previously set up a God-Slaying Array, which caused the entire God Realm to fall apart and made his brothers and sisters suffer. He hates you so much that he would never kindly transfer his energy to you."
"It's just that your feelings for this person have grown deeper and deeper, and it's time to make a sacrifice."

"That means nothing can bind me anymore. You'd better give Jiuwu back to me, or we'll all perish together."
“I really was protecting him,” Diablo patiently explained, proving he was a good person. “If you don’t believe me, I’ll make a bet with you.”
Xia Xiang looked at him coldly, waiting for him to continue.
