Chapter 393 Three Years Later

"Are you working so hard? You've lost so much weight!" Xia Xiang was stunned. This was completely different from the person who used to need strength to fly just to move.

“I’ve been waiting for you,” Gu Youyou stood up and dusted herself off. “Let’s go, I’ll take you there.”

"Will you come back?" Xia Xiang asked.

“Of course I can’t come back. I’ve arranged everything outside. Let’s go.” Gu Youyou said, turning around.

Xia Xiang followed him, completely bewildered, and entered the room where they had played games.

After opening the hidden door behind it, and passing through several ancient-style corridors built inside the cave, we finally arrived at a huge door.

“It’s inside,” Gu Youyou said with her hands behind her back. “Whether you can pass the test or not is up to you. I wish you success.”

Xia Xiang pushed open the door and was truly shocked—

The environment inside was no different from the underworld, but the dozen or so people at the entrance were just like normal people, unlike the wandering souls of the underworld.

The dozen or so people stood in a row, watching them quietly, until the person at the head of the table spoke, at which point they withdrew their scrutinizing gazes.

"Huaiying, I've finally waited for you again. This time you can't run away halfway." The voice was ethereal, but it was vaguely recognizable as a woman's voice.

"Don't worry, even if the sky falls outside, it won't affect me," Xia Xiang replied.

Xia Xiang now knows all of Huai Ying's memories, so of course she remembers what she said. However, halfway through, Abu suddenly appeared and called her away. After that, there were those strange and melodramatic things at the beginning, and then the bombing of the Divine Realm.

"That's good," the woman's voice chuckled. "I believe you've made ample preparations."

Xia Xiang took a deep breath, her gaze fixed firmly on that mysterious and profound world—

Huai'an said that what she had to do was very simple: just take the scroll to the highest mountain. However, the mountain looked far away, but it was actually much farther away, and the dangers along the way could not be described in just a few words.

Especially since a river, whose opposite bank is nowhere in sight, flows around the foot of that mountain—

For her, who is currently unable to use any power, it can only be described as climbing to heaven.

After Xia Xiang entered the gate of the deep valley, the Demon Realm immediately began to take action, but they were ambushed by the Iron Dimension first.

By the time the Demon Realm realized what was happening, the three other timelines had already set off from their respective realms towards it, beginning a protracted war.

—Three years later—

"Huyan Jing, you son of a bitch, don't you know the principle of not pursuing a cornered enemy?" Gu Baobei, Ren Chenfeng, and Huyan Jing were surrounded by a dark mass of demon soldiers.

“I know, but I also know we can’t give the enemy even a moment’s respite.” Hu Yanjing frowned. “According to the intelligence from the South City Guard, there shouldn’t be so many demon soldiers here. Did that bastard Akou betray us?”

"Stop arguing, save your energy. With so many demon soldiers here, shouldn't they swarm us and take us down? Why are they surrounding us?" Ren Chenfeng keenly noticed the strangeness of the situation.

"Who knows what those brainless bastards in the Demon Realm are up to this time?" Hu Yanjing said irritably. "Old Ren, have you contacted any backup? Is anyone coming to rescue us?"

"No, their supernatural magnetic field is suppressing us completely, making it impossible for us to contact the camp. I can only use about 70% of my power," Ren Chenfeng said, rolling his eyes at him.

As the three talked, they cautiously searched for any weaknesses in the demon soldiers' encirclement.

The demon soldiers suddenly parted to make way, and a somewhat familiar voice came from behind, "You've already said your last words, huh? You're quite resolute."

"The Phantom Soul Demon Lord!!!"

"It is indeed I, the Illusionary Soul Demon Lord," he grinned. "I have invited you all here today because I have a favor to ask of you."

The three men felt a chill run down their spines; they had met this scoundrel, and they were doomed.

The Illusionary Soul Demon Lord is still quite powerful to the three of them, and he can control the minds of those with supernatural abilities. If they fall under his control and the people in the military camp are unprepared, the consequences will be severe.

“Baby, Plan F.” Hu Yanjing’s face was ashen as he nodded to Ren Chenfeng beside him.

“I…” Gu Baobei hesitated.

"Go!" Hu Yanjing immediately launched an attack, hoping that Gu Baobei could break through the encirclement and return to report the news.

Ren Chenfeng followed closely behind, protecting Hu Yanjing while clearing away the soldiers who surged forward.

Meanwhile, Gu Baobei retreated quickly.

They had previously encountered a situation where the Imperial Guards were controlled, causing severe losses to the military camp. Later, the Alliance Leader intervened and almost killed the Illusionary Soul Demon Lord, but was ambushed and seriously injured by other Demon Lords and Demon Venerables.

Gu Baobei, in a frenzy, broke through the encirclement at top speed.

However, there were simply too many people on the Demon Realm side. The Illusionary Soul Demon Lord easily got rid of the heavily injured Hu Yanjing and the exhausted Ren Chenfeng, and flashed in front of Gu Baobei.

"This little thing is quite hard to catch." The Illusionary Soul Demon Lord smiled wickedly, gathering energy in his hand and controlling the ancient treasure.

"Ah—" Gu Baobei struggled in pain.

Meanwhile, Ren Chenfeng, who was protecting Hu Yanjing, was also about to give out.

—Iron Age Air Force Base—

"Bai Yu! Quickly take people to rescue them!" Hai Mo ran into the conference room with blood on her lips and hurriedly found Bai Yu, whom she knew best. "Huan Hun... go quickly."

He then spat out another mouthful of blood.

"Give me a direction!" Bai Yu pressed her into his chair and said anxiously.

Bai Yu sped forward in the direction Hai Mo was pointing—

"I'll go too," Rex glanced at Jiu Wu, who was sitting in the main seat with a pale face, and then followed Bai Yu with some unease.

—Demon Island—

Elder Chang, along with several other elders dressed in their finest attire, waited outside, but there was no movement from Xia Xiang's residence.

The person ran away.

When Elder Pang came out, he plopped down on the stone steps, propping his chin up in distress.

"Then let's call it a day. She's in charge now," Elder Chang said, stroking his beard.

“But her current condition is not suitable for her to go out; it’s too dangerous,” Elder Yu said worriedly.

“The one in danger is someone else,” Elder Pang said, resting his chin on his other hand. “Hopefully, she can at least remember what she was supposed to do.”
