Chapter 175 Don't be impulsive

Jiu Wu didn't understand why her father would agree to Xia Xiang doing something so dangerous. Now she understood; it meant that her claim of having met Lanling Wang in the Gold Dimension wasn't a coincidence.

She's really gone too far! She didn't even tell him something so important!

After finishing his business, Jiu Wu went to the Yehenara family and went straight to Yehenara Xiong Ba.

"You brat! You really think I wouldn't dare kill you!" Yehenara Xiong Ba said in a chilling tone, "Since you, the righteous path, don't blame me for breaking the agreement!"

"Where is Xia Xiang?" Jiu Wu asked directly.

"Who is Xia Xiang? I don't know her." Yehenara Xiong Ba said calmly, "If you want to find someone, I suggest you call the police. Don't come to this place you shouldn't be, or you'll lose your life."

"Make your move!" Jiu Wu, tired of his rambling, started unleashing her superpower index—

The guy standing at the back knew it was his turn to make a move, and he kept ranting and raving in his mind, criticizing whoever came to mind!

"How dare you!" the guy roared, then knelt down on one knee and asked to fight.

Yehenara Xiong Ba nodded slightly, and the guy immediately stepped forward to attack Jiu Wu. Jiu Wu's face was cold, and he showed no mercy. The guy was quickly defeated.

"Please forgive me, Sect Leader," the guy said, kneeling on one knee.

"It's nothing, go down." Yehenara Xiong Ba said calmly, without saying anything, but then said to Jiu Wu, "This person used to be one of your righteous people, yet he still managed to strike so hard."

“Once unfaithful, always unfaithful. I was happy for him that he found a good job here, so I couldn’t stop,” Jiu Wu said coldly.

While the group was talking, Xia Xiang arrived.

"Where is that guy named Jiu Wu? I'm going to kill him!" Xia Xiang rushed over.

Yehenara Xiongba gestured with his chin towards Jiuwu's direction.

"Xia Xiang! Come back with me," Jiu Wu called out, frowning.

"Fine! I'll send you to meet God!" Xia Xiang made her move immediately, and the two started fighting instantly.

Finally, both of them unleashed their ultimate attacks, took a few steps back, and spat out a mouthful of blood at the same time.

Yehenara Xiongba stepped forward and helped Xia Xiang up.

"Old man, you're lying to me! I was still recovering from my injuries when I beat him until he vomited blood. How could I have been captured by him before?" Xia Xiang said with difficulty, clutching her chest.

"And who is Xia Xiang?!"

"Xia Xiang! You're disowning me now, aren't you?!" Jiu Wu's mouth was bloody, and his eyes were bloodshot. "I disobeyed orders and came here alone to rescue you! I never expected you to betray me!"

"What do you mean?" Xia Xiang asked, frowning. "Who is Xia Xiang?"

"Nobody! Just a stupid idiot who thinks he's the father of a thief!" Jiu Wu said and then disappeared.

Xia Xiang: ...That's too much.

Yehenara Xiongba wanted to give chase, but saw Xia Xiang spit out a mouthful of blood and fall backward to the ground.

"Sect Leader, should we send Lanling King to pursue him?" the shameless man asked.

"Quickly summon the imperial physician. Commander A, go find Prince Lanling and lead men to pursue him," Yehenara Xiong Ba ordered. "Leave no survivors."

"Yes!" the guy replied, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth and bowing.

After that guy and Lanling Wang caught up with Jiu Wu, the three of them fought fiercely, and Jiu Wu was seriously injured and nearly killed.

"Brother, why are you so impulsive!" Jiu Lai complained. "Where's Xia Xiang? Is she alright? What is she doing?! I don't understand!"

"Has the commander of the West City Guard not returned yet?" Jiu Wu asked wearily.

After he returned, he claimed to be seriously injured and unconscious, but it wasn't actually that serious. However, this was for the best, as he had plenty of time to eliminate the spies lurking in the alliance.

“Brother, you haven’t slept a wink since Xia Xiang was kidnapped,” Jiu Lai advised. “If this continues, we won’t catch all the kidnappers, and half of our own people will be exhausted to death.”

"Honestly, she caused such a ruckus as soon as she came back!"

"Don't say that. She did it for the sake of the Iron Dimension." Jiu Wu looked at his mature younger brother with disapproval.

Jiu Lai scrunched up his face, looking utterly disgusted. "Okay, okay, my bad. But if you can't sleep, I can force you to shut it down."

As he spoke, he raised his hand, eager to chop off his brother's neck, who had already gone insane.

Jiu Wu looked dejected and sighed.

"Thank you, but I don't want to sleep. Although she is that old devil's granddaughter, that demon's lair is dangerous; one wrong step could be fatal. I can't let her stay there for long."

"You're overthinking it," Jiu Lai said, somewhat speechless.

They are blood relatives, after all; they couldn't possibly go that far.

"Young Master, I have something to report." A voice from the West City Guard came from outside the door, interrupting their conversation.

Jiu Lai originally wanted to listen to it together as a bedtime story, but then he received a telepathic message from Xia Liu.

"I have something to do, you guys talk," he said, and then teleported away.

"All those who had shown unusual activity have been apprehended. The South City Guard is already interrogating them, and the North City Guard has placed those suspected under surveillance. We believe we'll be able to close the net soon," the West City Guard commander reported urgently.

"Very good, be quick, three days at most." Jiu Wu showed a rare hint of joy after hearing this.

"By the way, who were the people who attacked her that day?"

"My subordinates have sent the shrapnel remaining at the scene for comparison; it's the kind of bullets mercenaries commonly use. The current evidence prevents me from drawing any conclusions; we still need assistance from the Southern City Guard in this regard," Ling replied.

"Alright, go and rest. You've worked hard." Looking at his unshaven, unkempt appearance, Jiu Wu felt a sudden pang of conscience and told him to go and rest.

——

Xia Xiang shut down her five senses and fell into a coma.

"You all stay here and wait for her external injuries to heal before erasing the name Xia Xiang from her mind," Yehenara Xiongba said coldly.

"Sect Leader, the young lady's memories were only erased half a month ago. The time interval is too short, and it may have a negative impact on her brain," the imperial physician advised.

"No need for further words," Yehenara Xiongba said, turning his back and leaving after giving his instructions.
