"Xia Xiang, please explain what 'shortsighted' means."
The Chinese teacher staked her twenty-year teaching career on a battle against Xia Xiang, who was at the bottom of the class, in a class full of elites.
"Nine times nine equals eighty-one," Xia Xiang answered, head held high and chest puffed out.
The students looked like they wanted to laugh but couldn't hold it in, and strange noises suddenly rose and fell in the classroom.
"Alright!" The Chinese teacher suppressed her anger. "Xia Xiang, it's okay if you don't know the answer, but your attitude is very important. This is a Chinese class!"
Xia Xiang said nonchalantly, "Teacher, I don't know how."
"It means that wherever the mouse can see, there is sunshine. It is used as a metaphor for a clean and honest government, where people live and work in peace and contentment, and even the lives of cute mice are filled with sunshine."
Xia Xiang: The world has isolated me!
Chinese teacher: "Next question, please answer how many animals are inside the tiger-backed, bear-waisted creature."
Xia Xiang: 9872
"Xia Xiang, your parents are coming in tomorrow. I need to discuss your learning issues with them!" the Chinese teacher said through gritted teeth. "Other students, take notes if you don't know: there are four in total: tiger, wolf, bear, and hawk."
Rex, who was standing to the side, couldn't help but laugh. He covered his face with his hands, manually controlled his expression, and buried his head in the table, not seeing Xia Xiang glaring at him fiercely.
Cao Cao: Xia Xiang is truly a hidden talent. Although she has only shown a little bit of it, her mastery of the multiplication table has reached a terrifying level. She can even recite it backwards!
——
"I don't want to study anymore," Xia Xiang said blankly, sitting on the rooftop railing with her feet dangling in the air.
"My life has been full of hardships, but I have never felt so defeated. But I have no regrets. Even if I, Xia Xiang, die here today, even if I jump off the building, I will not let any messy knowledge enter my smart head."
"Xiangxiang, let's talk this out. Don't be impulsive." Rex carefully pinched the hem of her clothes, afraid that she might jump off the building in a moment of despair.
"You're overthinking it," Xia Xiang said, brushing away his hand that was tugging at her clothes, but she was swaying slightly because she was unsteady on her feet.
"Watch out!" Rex grabbed Xia Xiang's waist with both hands and dragged her off the railing, causing them to fall to the ground.
Two muffled groans sounded simultaneously.
Xia Xiang: "Ouch~ My chin!"
Rex: "I think my sternum is definitely broken."
"Big brother, don't get so excited," Xia Xiang complained. "Even if I fall, there's enough space on the platform below for three of me to stand on."
“Pull me up,” Rex rolled his eyes at her.
Xia Xiang patted the dust off her skirt, turned around and left, completely disregarding Rex's life or death.
"Hey! What happened to our sibling bond?" Rex called out to Xia Xiang's retreating figure.
As soon as I went down one floor, someone pulled me into a stall in the women's restroom.
"Xiu!?" Xia Xiang exclaimed in surprise, "How did you get here?"
"The Alliance Leader sent me," Xiu said somewhat awkwardly, unsure where to look.
"What are you doing here?" Xia Xiang asked, looking at the uneasy Xiu with suspicion. "Weren't you in the Gold Dimension?"
"Young Master Jiuwu felt that you were all alone and helpless in the Silver Dimension, so he applied to the Alliance Leader to send me here to assist you," Xiu said, looking up at the ceiling.
"So how is the Gold Dimension now?" Xia Xiang didn't know what he was looking at, so she followed his gaze and looked at the ceiling.
