Xia Xiang stumbled along, using a small wooden stick for support, but before she could walk ten meters, time stopped abruptly. Huai An sighed, appeared before her, and took her away.
When she woke up, she found herself lying on a chair with her long hair down, her head resting on Huai'an's lap. Her internal injuries had completely healed, and her energy had been restored.
"What are you doing here?" Xia Xiang quickly got up, looked around, and found that they were on the top of a desolate mountain that towered into the clouds.
"I found you by the roadside, how can I repay this life-saving grace?" Huai'an also stood up, shook his robe, and asked calmly.
"You kidnapped me again!" Xia Xiang feigned deafness, then looked down at the robe she was wearing—the same one Huai An was wearing—and screamed, "These clothes! You changed me!!!"
Huai'an looked at her with amusement, "Is there anyone else here besides me?"
"Do you even know what it means for men and women to be different?!" Xia Xiang's face flushed red with anger, and she made a move to hit him.
Huai'an was speechless. "Who do you think you are? You expect me to change your clothes for you personally? It's just a matter of lifting a finger."
Xia Xiang lowered her hand, then took two steps closer and pinched his arm to vent her anger.
"Stop messing around." Huai'an glared at her, dodging her ticklish attack.
Xia Xiang ignored him and picked up the robe that was too long on her body to leave. "I don't know how the war between the Iron Dimension and the Demon Realm is going. I have to go back. Thank you."
Huai'an froze her in place, then grabbed her shoulders. "Don't worry, the Demon Realm has retreated. Now that I'm here, the Iron Dimension is destined to be reset. You wait here obediently, and after I finish my work, I'll take you back to Demon-Slaying Island."
Before Xia Xiang could even get angry, she heard him say, "The Silver Dimension is going to be reset too. The workload is suddenly so big, I don't really like it."
"Huai'an, let's talk this over." Xia Xiang took a deep breath and said seriously, "Is it possible to avoid resetting these two timelines?"
"What are you thinking? Of course not." Huai'an rolled her eyes at her.
Xia Xiang frowned and asked, "I need to know why you reset these two timelines."
"The order of spacetime has been disrupted," Huai'an replied with some regret.
"Ye Si Ti replaced Sun Jian in the Iron Dimension, but he is now dead. Yehenara Xiong Ba is also dead. The order of both dimensions will be severely disrupted, and the order of time and space has become unbalanced."
"No, Huai'an, this isn't right." Xia Xiang calmed down and tried to persuade him.
"Ye Siti is leading the demon army to attack the Iron Dimension. One of these two sides will definitely lose. If the Iron Dimension loses, then the balance of good and evil in the Iron Dimension will be broken."
"Assuming the Demon Realm and Ye Siti lose, then Ye Siti will have a hard time surviving, and the order of spacetime will be disrupted. You will also need to reset spacetime."
"This is unfair to the Iron Dimension and the Silver Dimension!"
“You’re absolutely right,” Huai’an nodded, “but it’s not up to me. When you remember, you’ll find that all of this…”
"What?" Xia Xiang looked at Huai An's lips and didn't understand why he wasn't making a sound.
Nothing happened.
After a long while, Huai'an finally uttered two words with a sullen face.
“Fine, I believe this isn’t up to you,” Xia Xiang said resignedly. “But tell me, how can I save both timelines and rebalance good and evil?”
“I’m already here, there’s no other chance,” Huai’an said seriously. “But you can also see if they can turn the tide.”
Xia Xiang was turned around by Huai An and saw Jiu Wu and Ji An split into two groups. Xia Xiang immediately spotted the worried Jiu Wu.
"Return to Demon Island!" Huai'an directly ordered Ji'an.
"Yes," Ji An replied, giving Xia Xiang, who was unable to move, a deep look. He then stopped Cao Jili, who still wanted to say something, and left with the people from Bamo Island.
Huai'an was originally a demon-slaying warrior, and there was no distinction in rank between them, but he passed the trials of that place, so his strength and status were naturally different.
Even the elders of Bamo Island treat him with utmost respect; he wouldn't be so stubborn as to contradict him.
Besides, Xia Xiang and Huai An were close, so what did he have to worry about? He simply and decisively left.
Xia Xiang: I'm not close to him at all!
"Xiangxiang" was about to rush forward when Huai'an stopped the four of them in place.
