Chapter 340 Memories

"Heh~ That scoundrel Xuan Ming is doomed~" The little girl threw away the little flower in her hand, her silly smile disappearing. "He dared to take advantage of me, did he think I didn't know anything?!"

Xia Xiang: Why is she like this?

In less than a quarter of an hour, Huai'an returned, bringing with him a somewhat disheveled Xuanming.

The little girl's eyes lit up with interest, and she called out, "Brother Xuanming, brother, you're back."

Xuanming: ......

Huai'an glared at Xuanming, hoisted the little girl onto his shoulder like a sack, and left, ignoring Xuanming who insisted on following him.

"Hehehe—" The little girl turned her head with difficulty and made a face at Xuanming, then Huai'an covered her face with his big hand.

"Huaiying, you scumbag, am I no longer your good brother?" Xuanming felt hurt, so he decided to hurt her back. "That's not what you said when you asked me to secretly take you out to play!"

Hearing this, Huai'an, who was walking ahead, took the child off his shoulder, supported the little girl under her armpits with both hands, and stared at her with slightly narrowed eyes.

"I...I have a headache." Huaiying covered her eyes, then pretended to cover her head as well.

“Okay,” Huai’an said, holding the child. “Take your medicine when you get back. This medicine might be a little bitter. But good medicine tastes bitter, and I’m sure Ying won’t refuse.”

"Brother Xuanming, let's elope! My brother is going to poison me!" Huaiying stretched out her hand to Xuanming behind her and said pitifully.

"Smack—"

The slap I had just held back from landing on her bottom finally came down.

"Hehehe—" Xuanming made a face at Huaiying, looking smug, and followed.

Xia Xiang: Is there any reason why I absolutely need to see this memory?

The scene shifts, and Huaiying has reached Xia Xiang's current age. The previously empty area now has many buildings.

Seeing Huaiying's face in the mirror, Xia Xiang was speechless. So this is what it feels like to see a clone.

The little girl sneaked into the forest, which resembled a monster swamp, and then a boy who looked exactly like Jiu Wu emerged from behind a large tree—

"Ying, why are you so late? You've been here for so long today." The boy, dressed in the same clothes as the children on the island, came to Ying.

"My brother is home today, and it was a real struggle for me to get out," Huaiying explained.

The two leaned against a big tree, looking at a book and talking incessantly. Their voices faded into the distance, the image blurred, and then the scene shifted to another one.

"Huaiying, you are utterly rebellious! You actually colluded with the Demon Realm and attempted to kill your father."

"That's not it, I didn't," Huaiying quickly explained, but unfortunately, her older brothers and sisters, the elders, and even the children who treated her like a boss all looked at her with disdain.

"I really didn't!" Huaiying's aggrieved voice was light and airy, but it hit Xia Xiang's heart hard.

The suffocating feeling was so familiar; a flood of memories that didn't belong to her poured into her mind like a spring.

The scene before my eyes shifted again—

"Abu, I don't want to go to the Demon Realm," Huaiying said, shaking off the boy's hand, her voice trembling with tears.

“I didn’t do those things. I’ll go back and explain to them. They’re my family, and they’ll believe me.”

"Hotaru, you're too naive," the boy called Abu said worriedly, looking at her.

"Anyone who comes into contact with the Demon Realm will be killed without exception. Trust me, we'll be safe once we get to the Demon Realm."
