Chen Zhipeng grimaced, one hand covering his wound.
He was leaning on the IV stand with one hand, wanting to go to the toilet.
But this body is not cooperating.
He didn't expect the surgery to be so difficult, but as a grown man, he was too embarrassed to relieve himself in front of the female nurses.
He could only grit his teeth, and every step he took caused him to break out in a cold sweat from the pain.
Just then, a large hand suddenly grabbed him.
She easily hoisted him onto her shoulder, one hand around his waist, the other supporting his wound.
It's as easy as a cane that suddenly appears.
"Aren't you afraid your wound will burst after just having surgery?"
Jiang Tiecheng felt a little resentful when he saw that this person didn't care about his wounds at all.
At the same time, the doubts in my heart were even greater.
This person looks like a refined scholar, so why is he so ruthless to himself?
Chen Zhipeng saw Jiang Tiecheng and gave a bitter smile.
With Jiang Tiecheng's help, going to the toilet became a breeze, and he finished quickly.
Chen Zhipeng returned to his hospital bed, and Jiang Tiecheng poured him some warm water to wash his hands.
"Comrade Chen, now that you're awake, please tell me your home address."
I'll go and inform your family. After all, they're the ones best suited to take care of you.
Jiang Tiecheng said that on purpose; it's only natural for him to say that, and he also wanted to see how Chen Zhipeng would react.
Chen Zhipeng felt a little guilty after hearing this, and his eyes darted away, as he stammered.
"I... I don't live in the county town, I live in Beijing. I'm here on a business trip. My family members don't live here."
After saying this, Chen Zhipeng felt confident again; he was telling the truth and hadn't lied.
But when Jiang Tiecheng saw the way his eyes were darting around, he instantly realized that this person was not simple.
I may have been scammed.
Jiang Tiecheng calmly went to get his meal. The meal for patients was hot soup noodles, which was a special privilege these days.
Chen Zhipeng could only eat a few bites before he couldn't eat anymore.
Lying there with her eyes closed to rest, she clearly didn't want to say anything more to Jiang Tiecheng.
He was mainly afraid of saying too much and making mistakes.
When Jiang Tiecheng saw that the other party had adopted this attitude again, his dissatisfaction reached its peak. How could they think he was easy to bully?
After all, he was a reborn person with the fate of a protagonist, even though he wasn't decisive and didn't have the ability to do so.
It's not that I'm wise and calm, but at least you should respect the fact that I've been reborn.
Since that's the case, don't blame me for being impolite.
An hour later, Chen Zhipeng was half asleep when he was suddenly woken up by someone tapping him.
When Chen Zhipeng opened his eyes and saw the police officer in front of him, he instantly felt that he must still be dreaming.
How could he have seen the police?
He rubbed his eyes, then opened them again and saw that the people in front of him were still police officers. He couldn't help but ask.
"Officers, what are you doing here?"
The two policemen looked at the pale-faced patient on the hospital bed and realized that he had undergone surgery, just as the person who reported him had said.
Such people are bound to get away, but they still need to take precautions.
The young policeman blocked the way to the window, while the older policeman blocked the way to the door.
Chen Zhipeng saw the two men's actions—an instinctive reaction. As a veteran police officer with many years of experience in handling cases, he could tell what they wanted to do just by looking at them.
"Comrades, what do you mean by this? Have I broken the law?"
The two police officers said with smiles,
"Comrade, someone has reported you as an enemy agent."
The entire ward has now been cleaned up.
Chen Zhipeng was both amused and exasperated. Looking at the empty ward, he realized that something big had happened while he was asleep, that someone had actually reported him as an enemy agent.
What does this have to do with anything?
"Comrade, you've misunderstood. I'm not an enemy agent."
The person who reported me has ulterior motives; this is a frame-up.
Chen Zhipeng wanted to see who would dare to report him as an enemy agent.
"I was the one who reported it."
When Chen Zhipeng saw Jiang Tiecheng walk in, he was dumbfounded. How could this be?
Why would Jiang Tiecheng suddenly report himself as an enemy agent?
"Xiao Jiang, why did you report me as an enemy agent?"
What about me makes me seem like a hostile agent?
Upon seeing that it was Jiang Tiecheng, Chen Zhipeng's expression softened considerably, no longer as serious as before.
I feel there must be some misunderstanding.
"There are too many suspicious things about you. First of all, what's your last name?"
This question stumped Chen Zhipeng.
After all, he had deceived Jiang Tiecheng first, so he couldn't very well change his surname in front of Jiang Tiecheng.
"How can someone not even know their own surname?"
When you woke up in the dugout and I asked you, did you tell me your surname was Cheng?
But what is your surname? Comrade Chen Zhipeng.
Jiang Tiecheng's resolute words immediately changed Chen Zhipeng's expression.
When did this kid expose me? Did something happen while I was unconscious and undergoing surgery that he doesn't know about?
There was no one he knew here except his children and the Wu couple from the Investment Promotion Bureau.
If children expose their own children, they can't possibly not stay by their side when they see their parents are seriously ill.
The fact that their children are not around now proves that they don't know anything about it.
"Why can't you answer?"
If a person doesn't even dare to say their own surname and given name, can you say they are a decent person?
