Wu Weiguo went straight back into the carriage, plopped down in his seat, and looked at the box under the seat.
He calmly picked up his teacup and began to drink, checking the watch on his wrist.
The young man in the fifth carriage was leisurely humming a song and looking at the newspaper in his hand.
Suddenly a man appeared in front of me.
"Hey bro, can I switch seats with you?"
“My brother lost his child and is now devastated. Letting him stay in that sleeper car any longer will only bring back painful memories.”
Comrade, please help us out.
You can lie down and rest in the sleeper berth, how about we brothers switch to these hard seats?
The young man's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing this. Although he would be getting off the train soon, lying in a sleeper berth was better than sitting here.
Besides, it's easier to jump out of a sleeper car.
“Sure, I know you’re worried because your child is missing, so of course I’ll help.”
The Xu brothers gripped the man's hand tightly.
"Thank you, thank you."
You are such a kind person.
The man reached for his bag under the seat, but the Xu brothers snatched it from under the seat and pulled it out themselves.
One hand took the young man's arm.
"Brother, let me carry it for you, let me carry it for you. It's such a small thing, how could I trouble you?"
The young man's eyes watered nervously, and he immediately snatched the bag into his arms.
"Let me take it."
The Xu brothers put their arms around his shoulders and said.
"Brother, you're too kind. You've helped us so much, it's nothing for me to help you out."
They talked as they walked.
"Brother, you're such a good person."
You have no idea how many seats I tried to get, but no one would agree to let me switch. Why is it so hard to exchange my sleeper berth for a hard seat?
“My brother was sitting in the sleeper berth watching my little niece crying her heart out over her little schoolbag. We just couldn’t do anything about it.”
"Brother, you're such a good person."
The young man's lips twitched.
He thought to himself, "What a bunch of idiots! We've got that little girl."
Who told that little girl to have nothing better to do than open their trunk?
Otherwise, they wouldn't be so ruthless.
He even thanked himself.
That's incredibly stupid.
The young man looked slightly smug, his nostrils practically flaring up to his head.
When they reached the toilet, the door suddenly wouldn't open, and someone quickly pulled the young man inside.
The speed was so fast that no one noticed what was happening.
The toilet door slammed shut from the inside again.
The Xu brothers breathed a sigh of relief.
He immediately headed towards his target in the next train carriage.
In the toilet, Xu Chengming and Jiang Tiecheng worked together to gag the man and tie him up, stuffing a rag tightly into his mouth.
They tied it up tightly and threw it into a corner of the toilet.
Jiang Tiecheng snatched the bag from his arms, and the moment he opened it, Xu Chengming gasped.
"this……"
"You see it like this, your daughter is in carriage 15."
They must have discovered the secret in the box by accident, so they decided to go all in and hide the child inside as well.
"What... what do we do about this?"
Xu Chengming felt his legs go weak and he had to use his hands to hold on. He almost slipped off the handrail on the wall and fell to the ground.
He was just an ordinary cadre, maybe from a slightly better-off family. He had never seen anything like this before.
Even if he were stupid, he would know that this thing was definitely deadly.
But then Jiang Tiecheng made a shushing gesture with his finger.
"Don't talk, give me two minutes."
Jiang Tiecheng stared intently at the timer inside, which was still ticking continuously.
He used the scissors in his hand to cut open the tape wrapped around the wire, revealing the lead wire inside.
The young man next to him began to struggle violently, making whimpering noises.
Jiang Tiecheng glanced at Xu Chengming.
"Don't let him make any noise or cause any disturbance."
If we get distracted, we'll all die together.
Xu Chengming covered the man's mouth and forcefully pressed him against the wall.
A fierce look appeared on his face as he whispered a warning in his ear.
"If you dare to move again, don't blame me for killing you."
"You want my daughter and everyone on the bus to die here? I'll kill you all first!"
At that moment, his adrenaline surged, causing Xu Chengming to calm down.
Anyone can die, but he absolutely will not allow his daughter to die here.
The will to survive prevailed.
The man was nearly choked to death and could only helplessly give up struggling.
Jiang Tiecheng cut the silver wire and looked at the stopped timer.
They cheered softly.
"Okay, this is resolved."
Xu Chengming wiped the cold sweat from his forehead as he looked at the stopped timer and asked.
"What do we do now?"
"Don't you have a way of locking the toilet door from the inside?"
Xu Chengming nodded, still in a daze.
"I know how to lock it, and I also have the key to the toilet on this train. I am a railway employee."
However, he doesn't follow the car much.
"Okay, lock the door. Take this bag to your bunk and make sure your brother keeps a close eye on it."
"This is deadly stuff. If it falls into the hands of those people, none of us on this bus will survive."
No wonder Jiang Tiecheng entrusted such an important task to Xu Chengming.
The lives of Xu Chengming's family of four were all tied to this vehicle.
Xu Chengming was more eager to fight than to fight himself.
