Chapter 11: Private rooms only, no menu items.

"Are you only renting a private room and not planning to dine here?"

Yu Zhizhi nodded.

Actually, Manager Luo was half right. She does eat here, she just doesn't order food here.

She brought her own hot pot cookware and ingredients.

Manager Luo loudly refused, "No way!"

What kind of customer comes to a restaurant not to dine, but only rents a private room and doesn't order anything? How would the restaurant make any money then?

"I'll only rent it for one day."

Yu Zhizhi looked at Manager Luo, a sly glint in her eyes, "If you refuse, I will tell everyone that you sold me fake wine before!"

He Yang told the original owner about this, but the original owner hadn't paid much attention to it before.

But things are different now. She has leverage over him, and she'll definitely have to use it. The way Manager Luo's eyes flickered just now proves that He Yang wasn't lying.

Feeling guilty, Manager Luo was afraid that she would make things worse, so he had no choice but to agree.

Yu Zhizhi nodded in satisfaction, then asked, "How is the rent calculated?"

Manager Luo held up five fingers: "500 coins for a private room for one day."

Wow!

He actually made outrageous demands.

Yu Zhizhi was not about to be taken advantage of. "Why don't you just rob me! 100 coins!"

No one could bargain as fiercely as her. Manager Luo was displeased: "No way. If we rent it to you for a day, our restaurant will lose at least three taels of silver. Now we're asking you for 500 coins, which is already cheap."

Yu Zhizhi scoffed, "The Yuluochun peach blossom wine I ordered from you before cost one tael of silver for a small bottle. Are you sure the peach blossom wine you sold me was from Yuluochun?"

"If you take this to the authorities, you'll be charged three times the price for counterfeit goods. You can calculate how much you'll have to pay me. Think about it carefully!"

Manager Luo glared at her through gritted teeth: "Fine, 100 coins it is!"

Having achieved her goal, Yu Zhizhi glanced at the private room they were in; it was just the right size, not too big or too small.

"Let's rent this one."

Seeing that Manager Luo was unhappy again, Yu Zhizhi gave him a cold glance, and he immediately backed down.

Do you sell charcoal here?

Why did she buy charcoal?

Could it be that he's having a mental breakdown and is contemplating suicide?

So we rented a private room here, closed the door...

Manager Luo became increasingly frightened as he thought about it, and cold sweat broke out on his brow.
